Had a sudden power surge and thought I fried my laptop. No power light or battery charging light when plugged in to AC. Removed the battery thanks to your helpful tutorial plugged it in to AC and I have powerrrr! Popped the battery back in and all good. You're a lifesaver!
Just had a scare. My laptop wouldn't turn and the power leds were not turning on either. Followed your directions to remove the battery, cleaned the contacts and put it back in. Lap is back to work again! Thanks

Thank you, my Asus just shut down for no reason and wouldn't turn back on. The LED's didn't even light up. I pulled out the battery and and it started right away! I'm not putting the battery back in for now in case it caused the shutdown.

These laptops are a nightmare. If you want to add some RAM you have to pull the entire motherboard out! ATM I've got mine on the bench trying to get the ribbon cables back in, but the wide flap broke off when I removed the ribbon cable, and now I'm in deep poop. Very poor design.
Hi, vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen, Ich habe ein Asus R556U, baugleich fast identisch wie im Video. Ich habe alle Schrauven gelöst aber ich bekomme die obere Abdeckung einfach nicht auf. Alle Clips sind offen aber es scheint so als ob in der Mitte noch eine Schraube befestigt wäre, aber auf der Unterseite sind keine Schrauben mehr. Kann es sein das unter eine Taste der Tastatur noch eine Schraube versteckt ist??? Bitte um Hilfe

I can not for the life of me get the battery back in. This is the only video I have found with this exact battery removal process
remove the left display hinge/PCB screw, the PCB can be lifted up higher this way

@@syrinefellah7 I know this is a bit late but remove the battery as shown in the video and wait 45 secs. Then put it back. It should fix the issue.
internally ssd is supported or not in this laptop?
M.2 is unsupported. You can swap out the DVD drive for a HDD Caddy tho
