On May 20th, Dior unveiled an audacious 111-piece presentation, staged against the imposingly grandiose backdrop of El Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso. Beneath the visible threads and embellishments, intricately sewn into the various silhouettes which graced the runway, lay the enduring narratives that bind Dior and Mexico. From Monsieur Dior’s “Soirée à Mexico,” “Acapulco” and “Mexique” creations to John Galliano’s breathtaking Fall 2002 Haute-Couture show, Dior Cruise 2024 reminisces on some of the historical collaborations between brand and state, in a mystical parade to honor the essence of Mexican tradition.
