Although he hadn't recovered his voice completely, he did an excellent job this round. Han Hong highly appreciated his perfomance and "adopted😊" Dimash as well. Dimash was not anymore the lonely Stranger in a strange land, among the contestants he had his "father" papa Lin and his "mother" mama Han, who is the author of this song and the winner of the competition two years before. Dimash was loved and appreciated by his peers not only for his singing, but also for his lovely character and precious sense of humor. If you'd like to hear the song in all its beauty, you may listen to Dimash's Bastau version. Love and appreciation❤️🤗
DIMASH was sickly and struggling with pain..DIMASH lost his voice again after performing this song on stage..to see this song performed by DIMASH again you should see his performance when DIMASH found his voice and all his abilities again. ...in the concert (BASTAU ) ..Daybreak..) this is a masterful and out of this world performance..greetyings from CANADA
I also heard that he was in horrific pain after this performance. It just shows you what a great artist he is, and how much he respects others through his songs.
Dimash gave the glory to Allah that he was able to perform, and right after he left the stage his voice went out again for 3 days. Also, one of the contestants gave him a very expensive herbal remedy, costing more than gold. Dimash took a drop of it as instructed, and that may have been part of the reason he was able to perform--not taking any of the credit away from God. Dimash said it had felt like he was singing with a throat full of broken glass, the pain was so bad. He ended up back in the hospital for more shots, and the doctor scolded him for singing high notes. Dimash replied that they weren't his high notes. He did recover, but by the end of the competition, he had lost weight and. His family went to great lengths to help him regain his weight and health. Dimash remains dear friends with many of the contestants and sees them as often as he can.
The other singers were concerned for Dimash - he was the youngest competitor and also the only non-Chinese-speaking one. One gave him an expensive herbal remedy to try to help ..
He also got all those injections directly in his throat! Everything together worked somehow...the injections, herbal tea, divine intervention, love and care of his peers, etc. He could sing that painfully raw song for the competition...and then, I heard, he lost his voice again 😢🎶💕😍
Dimash said, it felt like having a broken glass in his throat while he was singing 😢😢 immediately after the performance he lost his voice again 🥺 at the end of the song u can see he was in pain 😢
When he was at the hospital they gave him some shots in his neck, (probably a hydrocortisone or anti anti-inflammatory) so he could get through the night. He then had a week to rest up until the next show.
🙏🙏 Thank you for your appreciation and your comments and remarks. Indeed, during the “the singer” competition, the atmosphere was friendly, and Dimash maintained lasting friendships. I watched all the rounds of the show "the singer 2017" and I noticed the human qualities of many participants. In the east of the world there are rich and strong cultures which still retain values of collective life, with codes which have become foreign to us. Finding the balance between these values and our individuality is, in my opinion, the challenge of our future. Greetings from France
This is one of my favorite performances. It took me literally years of watching it to be able to get through it without sobbing. As a mom with a young son this one just hits me so hard.
When you sound that good under dire circumstances..you know your gift that has been crafted to the point of excellence..and coming through with a truly emotional performance on top of that…you could be convinced it was his story 😢.. Thank you for the wonderful reaction Qofy ☺️❤️‼️
The Doctor gave him temporary injections to aliviate all pain,,it was not good he did strained, and only with the injecrions, even though he he he did what he did ,that genial voice!
After Dimash sang this when he left the stage he lost his voice again and had tp gp back for more treatments. While singing this song he was in a lot of pain.
Thank you so much for reacting to The Singer version with the background story. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. Now you know the backstory, you really have to hear the version from his Bastau concert. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. You can see the difference between this two performances. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. Both version were in the same year 2017. Bastau version: ruclips.net/video/2kZTJjLoD64/видео.html What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. They performed together on stage and sang Dimash’s song Unforgettable Day together. They visit each other when they can and send each other birthday greetings. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️
I love that you shared your reaction to this separately! ❤ For me this is such an important performance, knowing how sick he was, in the midst of competition, and still doing what he did. And also to see the care of the other competitors. I'm glad I suggested it to you and you appreciated it!
Such a nice, respectful reaction. One must know the story before listening to it, to understand the meaning behind it. I heard a reaction once before, where they didn’t know the story and were judging him on his singing. They learned later, and felt horrible about it.
It's hard to tell if Dimash's facial expression before he began to sing is from his pain, or because he gets emotionally ingrained into a song before he sings. One of the other contestants, the guy in the green suit at 8:32 minutes bought an expensive medication to help with Dimash's throat. They all were very kind to Dimash during his time on the show and took him under their wings, because he was the youngest singer, away from home in a foreign country, not knowing the language, and facing cultural differences. You should watch Dimash's performances on this show, Singer 2017 to see how he progressed from there to now. His first 4 songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin, with only one week to learn the song before the performance. Sandy Lin, ( Li Yilian) won first place. She was a beloved and respected Chinese singer and was favored by the sponsors. I watched the entire show of all the performers and some other Chinese singers were better than her, in my opinion. I really enjoyed the whole show and sometimes I watch it again. If you do, select the videos that have cc for English translations. It's interesting to hear the comments of the other singers regarding Dimash. Several of them said it was stressful to have to sing after his performance. He may have lost that battle, but he certainly won the war. I think he has performed in China more than any other country. He has well over 7 million "Dears" there alone.
This is Dimash ill. There is another video of him singing this song in a concert & you can see the difference when he's well. He still killed it when he was ill but leaves you astounded when singing it well. Thank you 😊🙏💞

How did he get his voice back? I know. Let me tell you my brief story. I went back to college at age 50. Years ago I hadn't finished. That's a complicated story. But I went back to the same college and majored in Theatre. Communication, and English. The theatre department was renowned. And the college gave deep cost cuts to anyone returning to finish. So I wasn't the only adult at the college. The "Kids" were very nice in accepting us in their classrooms. We all felt apart of the whole college experience. So they didn't discriminate and I was cast in the Homecoming Musical. I wasn't a lead. But I had some lines and was a part of all the big chorus numbers. Choreography and all. I had completed all the weeks of rehearsal. And the last week of final preparations. I made it through all the run throughs. And even a full performance for the first night on Thursday. But I woke up so very sick on that Friday morning. There is a full-time doctor on campus, and they got me in because it was an emergency. I had to get well to perform for that Friday and Saturday and Sunday performance. It felt like I had been hit by a semi truck. My body ached all over. It seemed like I had the flu and a very bad cold and bronchitis and pneumonia all in one. I couldnt talk or sing. My voice was gone like Dimash. I really didn't know if the doctor could help me. But it was worth a try. I had been told of some kind of miracle cure. I had no idea what it was. The doctor said it is used in rare circumstances. But he felt I qualified. The reason it's risky is because there can be major side effects. Like your heart beating rapidly and worse. I had to be in otherwise good condition with no heart or high blood pressure symptoms. And it might not even work even though my body would feel a rush. A kind of surge going through my body. Come to find out many performers and high level athletes use this fix. It's a high powered steroid shot. I agreed to take the risk. He stayed with me until the surge passed through me to make sure I was OK and didn't have to be taken to the hospital. It worked. After a few hours I could talk and sing and dance and no pain. Luckily, it lasted through past Sunday's performance. One other of your commentors said Dimash got an injection for pain. No. It's much more than that. There are different doses. So not to risk Dimash's health more than needed he got the 1 day dose. I got the 3 day dose. I felt like I was Superwoman. I had never felt so good. Bodybuilders use it and get addicted to that Super Human feeling. That addiction can kill them! So that's how Dimash got his voice back. Have you ever seen football guys carried off the field injured? And then return to play soon after. Same thing. Steroid shot. Thank goodness for miracle drugs. But only if managed by a morally safe doctor. And Not misused. I've never gotten a steroid ever again. I imagine because Dimash sings professionally he might have had more than one during the years. Here is how singers save their voices between performances. They go on vocal rest. No talking or singing between performances. Dimash was young when this happened. He probably practiced more than he should. Unbeknownst to his manager. I'm sure he Never over practiced again!
Saludos.
Thank you for your heartfelt reaction. Dimash had the throat injection, and you heard the doctor said, "No more high notes" to him. I saw another back stage video that one of the fellow contestant gave Dimash some really good Chinese medicine to help him. Yes, all the fellow Chinese contestants were all very nice and caring towards Dimash, because Dimash was the youngest of all of them (at 22 years old). Dimash sang with his heart and soul. Later in another interview, he said that he powered through to sing that song, even though in his throat, it felt like broken glass when he sang. You should check out this same song in his 2017 Bastau concert (His first solo concert after China, back home in Kazakhstan. He recovered from losing his voice, but got very thin due to working hard to prepare for the concert) Bastau version, he had his voice back and sang with even more emotion. Love and respect for Dimash.
Sandy Lam won because at the time competition rules were that only a Chinese could win. There was an uproar, and the next year Jessie J won. During Daybreak Dimash said his throat felt like shards of glass and hurt for the following three weeks. We are all grateful could that he didn’t permanently hurt his vocal cords. What a tragedy that would have been!
I was wondering if that was a different version. I thought I was getting forgetful. 😂. I am getting forgetful. In fact I'm forgetting that I'm forgetting all the time. I use "like" buttons as my proof that I've watched something to myself. If I happen to like it, that's a bonus.🎉
Can you do a reaction to "The Ultimate Dimash Guide" it's multiple parts but, it is EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about Dimash, including interviews.
Keep in mind he's able to ding this because of the injections in his throat. He said, that although he was in pain and wasn't sure he'd be able to sing, when he got up there his voice just came, he thanks and says Alla (God) was with him.
A non-Chinese cannot win a Chinese Singer competition...it was not surprising that he did not come in first overall. But he won several rounds and it was a true win for his future! :)
5:20 Please, don't remind me of that ridiculous rule! Everyone KNOWS Dimash was the REAL WINNER (Nothing against Sandy, just speaking truth here)!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 #DEAR4DIMASH4LIFE
QoFy, this video is about 30 minutes long, so you may not be able to react to it, but I think you will enjoy watching this performance by Dimash. It reflects the deep love between him and his Dears. Not even icy cold rain can stop them. I hope you enjoy it, Sir. ruclips.net/video/fEwU1oFlhU4/видео.html
The only reason he did that win 2017. The singer competition was because he was not chinese , and even the chinese people didn't agree and thought that it was not fair. They gave the win to Sandy Lam a chinese singer. It didn't matter because after this competition Dimash now needed boby guards.
Check out all Dimash reactions 😊 :

I've watched the 2017 series of The Singer a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other contestants were all very good and so friendly. ❤️
Dimash gave the glory to Allah that he was able to perform, and right after he left the stage his voice went out again for 3 days. Also, one of the contestants gave him a very expensive herbal remedy, costing more than gold. A herbal remedy would not bring back his voice. Please read my comment above.
He also got all those injections directly in his throat! Everything together worked somehow...the injections, herbal tea, divine intervention, love and care of his peers, etc. He could sing that painfully raw song for the competition...and then, I heard, he lost his voice again 😢🎶💕😍

He said in an interview that every note hurt but thanks to the injections he was able to sing.
Any status, any competition cannot give the singer success. The success of the singer is his audience ~ Dimash Qudaibergen quote ♥️

Even his newest video "When I've Got You", isn't grotesque or vulgar. Dimash keeps true to his beliefs and principles!❤❤👍
Unico dimash voce epica ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
History behind this song is very important . Thanks for reacting to this version.
Dimash lost his voice again right after he performed.
Dimash!
He did not win because he was an outsider but he did win with the audience and became a sensation in China
You definitely need to react to the Bastau Concert version of this song. It’s incredible ❤
Dimash 👑🎶🎤.
When he was at the hospital they gave him some shots in his neck, (probably a hydrocortisone or anti anti-inflammatory) so he could get through the night. He then had a week to rest up until the next show.

9:07 I know it's hard to read the lyrics when one is mesmerized by Dimash's voice, but if you read the lyrics you'd probably be sobbing by now...

"Bastau"
He put all his heart and feelings on this song. If you want to watch his "non sore throat" version, react to "Daybreak" from Dimash's Bastau Concert .
Great reaction 🔥🤩
🥰‼️
Saludos.
You need to hear this song on his Bastau concert, where he was healthy. Amazing
Love and respect for Dimash.
,salutations from a danish Dear, you are doing a wonderful job. Thanks
Please also check out Daybreak from the Bastua 2017 concert…it’s incredible of course. Thanks….love your reactions to Dimash
You should react to this song live from his (BASTAU) concert; it's ten times better, you’ll be really impressed
Now you need to watch the Bastau version when his voice was healthy. This was episode 8 of the Singer. SOS was episode 1.
He won second place cause he was not from China 🤷♀️
❤️🇨🇱❤️🇨🇱❤️🇨🇱👏👏👏👏😭😭😭😭😭😭
😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
😍😍😍😍😍 #DEAR4DIMASH4LIFE
listen to theother version, where he is OK
QoFy, this video is about 30 minutes long, so you may not be able to react to it, but I think you will enjoy watching this performance by Dimash. It reflects the deep love between him and his Dears. Not even icy cold rain can stop them. I hope you enjoy it, Sir.

The only reason he did that win 2017. The singer competition was because he was not chinese , and even the chinese people didn't agree and thought that it was not fair. They gave the win to Sandy Lam a chinese singer. It didn't matter because after this competition Dimash now needed boby guards.
I like the bastau 2017 one better
He was invited to the show as usually it’s for Chinese. Obviously someone from another country wouldn’t win
