    I have Air 2, I live in Washington DC and I do have remote ID but I can't fly it anywhere, it keeps saying Restricted Zone 😢

      i think that C1 Class and remote ID doesn't always being bounded. I mean that some old drones maybe have already the technology of RID preinstalled so can be activated through firmware but to have also the C1 class have to meet some specific criteria for each continent. Also i think remote ID doesn't mean that you can fly anywhere and that restricted zones are general for all drones and need specific license to unlock it. I'm not fully familiar exact with the drones laws in US by any means :)

      @marc8136 then maybe the only solution for you is to contact with the dji support to assist you further on this.!!

      hello matte. Are you in EU country ?? I would recommend try to refresh your firmware on both through DJI assistant 2 on your computer first.

      @@nicolasanst I'm in the UK at the moment, going to EU in a couple of weeks with the drone, I think once it detects in EU might show the option :) Have an EU OPID already ready for ti :) Thank you!

      @@nicolasanst sorry forgot to mention :) done the refresh on both AIR 2S and RC yesterday with resetting settings and config as well and login out/in. No Joy for me for it to show as an option

    • @nicolasanst
      @nicolasanst  4 месяца назад +1

      Refresh of the settings is different than refreshing the firmware update.
      But probably since you are in UK that maybe the reason why you don’t see the option for RID. Try again when you are in EU and let me know.

      Since the drone take the c1 label I believe that when the UK make clear the new rules will be pretty similar with the EU ones. I found some useful tips here maybe you can check them out since you want to operate in UK
