I remember just checking out MAD TV after years of ignoring it and this actual sketch came on, didn't know who they were at the time, but I knew them both by name after this. They are comedy legends.
From this little TV show that was already on the canceling floor, it's clear that these two gentlemen are bringing to the table, the last few good moments of MadTV. I remember it being painful to watch Mad TV becoming crap. Then these guys come up. Didn't save the show in the end, but instead, created something that would eventually make us forget they were ever on Mad. Now and then, it's fun to watch where it all started. Key and Peele are up there with all the greats of comedy duos in history.
When Tyrone's bride to be screamed in horror knowing how much bad luck it was for the groom to see the bride before the wedding, you KNOW it was meant to be!
So brilliant and decades ahead. The coordination, the athleticism... these guys were miraculous. I saw this when it was first broadcast and laughed all night long. It was also the first time that both I and my girlfriend from Toronto understood the proper context of the phrase "Man up!" You ain't supposed to talk! Broke that hex!
Key's substitute teacher character was similar to his high school coach with way too short shorts on. I guess the valets make the most sense as a replacement. I was really hoping to see the Man Up guys, but the East/West college football sketches made up for it and then some. One of my favorite things that has ever existed in comedy.
watching this when it first came on madtv was like seeing something amazing happen, you just know these guys are special. so glad for k&p and will miss it but it looks like they're making their way into movies now! i'm happy for them, they deserve all the praise they can get.
I assume they were referring to the locker room where they broke the mirror inside one of the lockers as they were slamming them. "7 years, man!" "We're never gonna win this game!"
These guys really bring it! Amazing physical comedy, especially for a weekly sketch show. Compare this to SNL, 'Pump you up!' which is nothing more than a repeated expression and some posing.
compare ANY Mad sketch to SNL - no competition. No idiot cards, no unprofessional corpsing, no audience prompted to clap, and mostly - actual hilarious writers and performers.
What I find most impressive is how they manage to memorise all of this and then you watch SNL now and you can see they're blatantly unable to remember more than 2 lines as they're constantly looking off-screen for cards/prompter
SNL is live though, shot in 1 take so the show must go on. That’s why you’ll often see them breaking character. MadTV was taped so they could go back and reshoot/edit.
this is so strange, I was just thinking about how back in the day debeers came up with the diamonds are forever ad campaign fooling everybody into thinking diamonds are rare, unique and special, (which they're not) then I thought what are they gonna do if men just stop getting married in large enough numbers that they can't ignore? what ads will they run? well of course, naturally they'll just tell guys to "man up" and get married, I finished this thought right as I was refreshing my youtube suggestion videos list, and guess which is the first video on top? this one, about two dudes at a wedding telling eachother to man up, how freaky is that? it was literally like a millisecond after I finished that thought when this popped up, wth? ... now I wish I could say this was the first time google/youtube has read my mind, but that would be a lie
This was the first sketch I ever saw with the two of them decades ago. I laughed so hard I cried and never saw them again. I used to think about them periodically, wondering what happened after MAD TV and wished I were rich enough to give them a show...we see how that turned out.
On reading up on why Key & Peele wasn't renewing for a new season: Both of them opened up about how the show was starting to hit their friendship hard. You could tell this was a break from character. They were serious, though they draped the reality in humor. You have more money than God, and now you can make more money than two gods. Hollywood jobs for life. All this after grinding for eons to gain just that. It takes a lot to put friendship first. Unless I was just being swerved by the whole interview. Admittedly, I felt the show was becoming pretty stale. Still, though, the lure of that kind of money.
and this is why they have their own show.
+qualcom01 had* The series just ended.
+Nick The pichu at least there's sill Keanu
+Skillet91 don't those 2 have a movie of their's coming out tho so their still in business

Riiiiiiiice! lmao
I don't think I've ever seen more effort go into coordinating anything sillier than this.
The original, " valet guys", before Key and Peele was a thing. 😂
outtakes, please, somebody, link the outtakes!
I thought rain on a wedding day was good luck tho
Hahahaa! They're amazing and everyone knows it! ;] ♥
Broke that Hex
how did they keep a straight face the whole time
Their whole life is based on luck XD
2:21 he looks at the camera lol
Basically the valet guys on their wedding day.
THAT SHIT WOULD BE MY JAAAAAAM
Damn, how could they memorize the routine, doing it all in sync? Very impressive.
Just like how you can practice for any other routine...
It's called a real comedy duo. They don't come around much anymore. You see it in Japan a lot still, though.
I think they are reading cue cards at a few moments
Somebody always gotta make something simple look like magic 😂
Jeez, chill guys. It is called a "compliment". A foreign concept to smart asses like you, I know. No reason to burp from the sidelines, though.
That. Was. Awesome. Wow. How the hell did Keegan flip like ...wow. And his FACE when he saw his bride, tho!
That was craxy
It was his talent
That was Jordan Peele.
@@KannyValentine NOPE my friend..take another look...
That is infinity plus 1 percent not Keegan lol ...
these guys are masters of comedy...the best there is
SAG Chappelle
gay armsies, gayer armsies, gayest armsies.
And they break the hex by behaving in the most homoerotic way possible XD
When Tyrone's bride to be screamed in horror knowing how much bad luck it was for the groom to see the bride before the wedding, you KNOW it was meant to be!
that alanis morissette reference 😂😂😂

I like how their hex break dance gets more impressive as the sketch goes on.
Cat Knight that’s because it’s supposed to fyi 🤦♀️
So many years later and this still had me cracking up. MAN UP! MAN UP! MAN UP!!!
Man up!
Had? When did it quit
This is an immaculate example of Key and Peele at their best.
These guys have good chemistry, hopefully they’ll have their own show and movie someday
🤞🏽
Comment aged like wine cuh
This video 15 years old bruv😂

The guy with the cornrows now has an oscar on his mantlepiece :D

You ain't supposed to talk!
Broke that hex!
These two men, in my humble opinion, is perhaps, the funniest comedy duo in American tv history.
Life talk *are* FYI
Truth!& not afraid to cry, be humble, etc
Jinx, double jinx... 😂
I think Abbot and Costello are a bit too influential and renowned but Keegan and Jordan would be on a top 100 list for sure. Possibly even a top 10
Idiots
They should really continue these sketches on Key and Peele
It would make the world that much better!
The two valets is a pretty close sketch.
As much as i would like it...
Can't...They would get sued for copyright.
Key's substitute teacher character was similar to his high school coach with way too short shorts on. I guess the valets make the most sense as a replacement. Yo Carl man. Yo I'm nervous than a mug man
I got tears of joy from seeing this again
they had a lot of energy in this show wow
Jordan should have been about mid twenties and Keegan would be late twenties early thirties.
So we’re just gonna ignore the fact keegan did a full on backflip right now
a front flip, even better!!
4:29 but that flip though?!!
watching this when it first came on madtv was like seeing something amazing happen, you just know these guys are special. so glad for k&p and will miss it but it looks like they're making their way into movies now! i'm happy for them, they deserve all the praise they can get.
Idiot
Old school Key and Peele.
the original hype man
That is one crazy routine to remember.
Much respect for them putting this much effort into their work.
Brilliant timing. Must take some rehearsing.
"Isn't it ironic?" bahaha
great song
Don't you think ?
Wow..now i know why they had such a great show like Key&Peele together for so long..they will always iconic together!👍😂😊
Yo this fucking dude is too much. Lmfao
"Ain't nobody gonna break no mirrors, man."
"That was a one time thing, dawg. I'm sorry."
LOL. Reference to the first time they did the man up skit.
I assume they were referring to the locker room where they broke the mirror inside one of the lockers as they were slamming them.
"7 years, man!"
"We're never gonna win this game!"
Those two are hilarious!!!!!😂👏👏
What a chemistry!💞
So much this mad energy inside !💣🔥👏👏👏
I miss Mad TV.😢
Snip - Rice
Man they killed me right there - plus the hand swinging back like its on chain
Laughn my as off >.< ^.^

Seriously how are they so talented?? Amazing performance! Such synergy!
Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are awesome comedy duo. Absolutely amazed.
They are obviously frat guys
That has to be it. From the same frat that is obviously black.
Did all that and entered the room with the left foot, MAN UP DOO MAN UP
That looks like the same church Stuart was in when his aunt got married. Aw, old school MadTV memories! 😊
omg cant breatheXDD
Best 5 minutes of my life
I'm glad they have Key and Peele, I can't get enough of these guys! They're so good together.
"Gayer armsies" looool
I miss MadTV so much, I watched it all the time as a kid! I'm glad these two are so famous and successful now, especially Peele
YO HOW'S IT GON RAIN CUH!??!?
And THEY DID THIS IN ONE TAKE. HOW!???
Best show ever!! How do they not crack up constantly!!?!😂😂😂
Ron Pederson's acting doesn't get enough credit here. So good. 😭
Well... he's doing a lame version of Martin Short actually...
@@jondunmore4268 acting like an in the closet guy is specific to Martin Short? Learn something new everyday.
I always love the part where Peele rubs Key's bald head and imitates a skipping record sound every time!
🤣
4:06 RICE!
Seeing this sketch in retrospect, it was inevitable these guys would have their own dambusting show.
Man up 系列真是太好笑了。哈哈哈哈

these guys r as talented as the person who choreographed the dance
Having to do long dances with chants to undo bad luck is actually a huge sign of OCD.
Wow. Their timing is so on point. I wonder how many takes it took them to get it 100%.
I would LOVE for these guys to be at my wedding. Lol!!!
Whish key and peele would have kept manning up when they got their own show.
“THAT WOULD BE… MY. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!”😂 full circle
Fucking fantastic..lol.
2:24 I love how Keegan break the fourth wall at this part.
Keegan and Jordan are an awesome duo!
