Why you always see something sitting in the front and center in a lot of Seventeen's dance practice videos is because the object is marking the center of the front of the stage in order to give them a visual reference so they know where they are on stage. They have to remember where they are each positioned at every moment in the choreography to make sure they stay spaced out correctly at all times. When they don't have tape available to mark spots on the floor, you will often see them using stuffed animals, their albums, a roll of tissue, a cup, etc. to mark the center and sides of the stage. That's how they are able to make sure their lines and formations are so perfect because they memorize where they are compared to where the center point is, at every moment in the dance. If you really start to pay attention, you will see a lot of groups do the same thing in their dance practice videos -- especially if you watch older dance practices from second gen. groups -- but it's more noticeable with Seventeen because they have made it a common thing in a lot of their dance practice videos. Plus, you saw Seventeen using other objects as markers a lot more in the early days because when they debuted Pledis Entertainment was a really small company that had almost no money, and Seventeen had to learn how to make do with what they had a lot of the times. That's one of the reasons why Seventeen became a self-produced group, because it saved the company money if they didn't have to pay songwriters, producers, choreographers, etc. to come up with everything for them, and it just so happened that they had some really talented members who were excellent at songwriting, choreographing, and producing, etc. Seventeen was instrumental in Pledis' success. Similar to how BigBang pretty much made YG Entertainment what it is today, Seventeen was the group that played a large part in preventing Pledis from going bankrupt.
Seventeen are really interactive idols and they strive to make their fans feel like an integral part of their performance and overall music process. They even gave us free music samples of their song prior to its release so we could make our own version of their upcoming song and/or try to guess how it would sound based on the vocal chops and instrument samples they gave. Best promotion tactic they ever did honestly.
Carats probably the most hardworking fans I know ( as what Hoshi always say, seventeen are working hard on stage so the fans should do the same too😂) SVT also have tried to make carats try and produce music with the items they provide us twice❤
This guide is really amazing, the long episodes don't feel long - it really does kind of fly by! But if you have to break them up, break them up - sometimes that's easier for us to watch, too hahaha :D Cause a lot of reactors will pause the videos for those reading moments at times as well or other times you need to say something and then we have a killer long video haha. I thought it was funny how you said it felt like cheating to be seeing this many sneak peeks ahead of time - hehe. As for the quote, it was really making me think about what the intended meaning was. Did he mean that things around you will change (like your environment) or that literally the physical body will change along with your mindset? I think it can be both. I know I can feel stress and anxiety leaving my body when I make a positive change in my mindset - or on the flip side, when my mindset is in a really bad shape it takes a toll on me physically as well. I also do think that your mindset similar impacts those around you and will change your environment for better or worse as well.
I just found your videos because of Seventeen killing voice and i'm loving it 💓 Can't wait to watch your journey with them, for me personally, they are my comfort group 'cause they are really open to the fans, and genuine with what they love to do. Like they made you connect with them 'cause they are really showing how much they enjoy it! And to me, they're the kings of synchronization because it amazes me how 13 people can be such in synch and good at dancing, it still blows my mind. For the quote, i think it's true, like sometimes when you feel emotinally bad, sad or without energy everything seems to go wrong, or not in the way we want, but when we feel happy, upbeat and with good energy the things we do seems to go well, or if it doesn't, we take it with another mind set and it seems easier💖 Love from Argentina 🤍
Thank you for your awesome reaction. I loved when you said that music is a way of travelling the world. ❤ Also, with so many coincidences it becomes fate 😂 Looking forward to the rest of the guide with you. I really enjoy listening to you 😊
you DEFINITELY need to check out their japanese songs. seventeen are known for their great japanese tracks, and theyre extremely popular in japan. they also have some of seventeens most iconic choreo. youd be missing out if you skip out on them
Hey Papi, thanks for your commitment. Break it up as much as you want. I look forward to more. It was meant to be--too many coincidences. PS LOVED your pep talk/quote. I really needed the wisdom.🤔☺
on 9:08, my initial reaction was like "aw, dude! give them a chance!!!" (as someone who has a special place in my heart specifically for their jp releases haha) xD then there u were at 10:27 HAHA understandable really!!! edit: (some additional thoughts) - alsooo, i do agree if you might have to divide the videos into smaller parts! it can get overwhelming soooo feel free to take your time in watching the guides! ^__^ - i agree with your quote of the day :) cheers to unlearning the unhealthy habits we have grew up with!
I thought it was funny and cute that he changed his mind about SVT's Japanese songs when he said that he wasn't going to listen to the Japanese songs until he heard all the Korean ones and then after a minute he said that he should try the Japanese songs too when he saw that they were very good hahahah I love it when you react to them, and your reactions to how talented they can be
If you are planning on reacting to artists from other countries try Jeff satur & fujii kaze. I found them not long ago. love to know your take on them too

the thing (usually their album) is a marker so they will know where is the center for dance practices.
Sounds good
