I bought this a couple weeks ago and used it for some commercial real estate work. It's pretty fantastic. I think you do need to create clips that are specific for it, though. I was doing some close flyovers similar to your shot there at the end of the vid and it's definitely far harder to track that type of shot (for the property area - that type of shot is still easy to place text on) rather than a wider, more steady shot. I'm using a MacBook with an M1 Max and 64GB of RAM, and on the flyover shot it took a good 15 minutes to track. The wide shots are done in about a minute or so.
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo It was a chunk of change for sure, but it's an absolute beast. I've never owned a laptop before because I was always frustrated with their lack of processing power or horrific battery life, but this is the first one to take care of both of those problems for me. My first Mac too - I'm 43 and have used a PC my whole life up until now. Definitely love it!
Great review Taylor. I looked at this line of trackers but I’m using an older MacBook and don’t want to be sitting around for long chunks of time while it processes. The day I upgrade to a m1 etc I’m getting this plugin 100%
Great video Taylor as always lots of useful information, just a quick question I was wondering how much should I up-charge for property lines and text for a client?
I had the same thought process when using it the first couple times! I have the base model of the M1 Pro and it works well but I would still recommend upgrading the RAM or maybe even getting the MAX for the best workflow but definitely doable with the base model.
You can just as easily do this with built in motion tracking in after effects. The only shots this plugin seems to work in is shots with basically little to no movement or very very slow movement.
Hey! I'm not totally sure what you mean? If you have several shots you'd have to re-trace it if that's what you mean. So might be hard to pull off an exact copy of the shape
Man, been waiting a few months to grab this and went to buy it yesterday to find out it's only accessible with a subscription and not as a standalone plugin. Super bummed.
Thanks Taylor! I have been searching for months to find an alternative to the outline software I use which is an outline tracker from "Pixel films studios". It tracks perfect however, I always wanted to find a program that would fade in and fade out, like this one! I had the Mac mini M1 with a 49" ultrawide samsung g9 monitor when it came out which processed footage with ease, I then sold it all as I wanted to be able to edit videos remotely i.e a cafe etc. So I upgraded to the M1 pro Macbook Pro 14". Anyway thanks again for this video! I will buy it 😀
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I love the M1 Pro. Here's why. When I first started getting into videography for real estate, my laptop wasn't powerful enough to run final cut pro, I researched what specs were needed to be able to edit HD/4k footage and I was prepared to spend upwards of $8K on a PC. I found a site that let me custom build a PC, I was going to spend $10k on the PC alone.. overkill yes but I wanted the best of the best. Then I saw Apple released the M1 chip, after watching youtube videos of how fast it cut through editing, I was sold. I bought the M1 Mac mini for $2250 NZD which was only a fraction of what I was going to spend on a PC. As mentioned I have since gone back to a laptop with the 14' Macbook pro M1 Pro. Slightly faster but more important it's portable. I like the idea of editing while having a coffee at a cafe 😀the very first real estate video I shot, I got paid for, I learnt as I went, with the help of your videos and a few others. Each video I do, I notice I get better and better. I appreciate your channel! Keep the videos coming please 🙂 Thanks, Jamie
Hey! Unfortunately no. But I’d check their return policy. Wonder if you can get it and return if it’s not compatible? How do you like the air m2? Been looking into new laptops lately!
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I do casual gopro video editing and so far I love it. I am so obsessed with how thin and light the Air m2 is. It was the selling point over the 14 M1 pro
For photos?? Simple option is to just draw the shape with the pen tool but there are probably some design assets you can buy to make it better looking.
Definitely need it for premiere!!! I am searching for something similar, but I dont think there is a plugin like this. I now want a mac just for this ahah !!
Bro! This software is awesome when it works but it’s doesn’t always work. In fact it’s seems to track properly about half the time. In terms of time it can quickly turn into a major time drain as you try to add lines and a label. Hopefully they continue to improve the efficiency with updates. Or it won’t be much longer before CHATGPT will take care of it. Hahaha!
Just disappointed in the fact that most videos promoting this software say just one click and you’re done… when in fact the reality is that if like myself you do a lot of work on the water then the one click statement goes out the window as from a video that I just found states that you have to mask out the water and any moving cars to get this program to work. Feel like I’ve been duped.

Nice! Yeah it was pretty hard on my computer especially once I had multiple on a timeline so good call :)
Hey great video, thanks a lot !
Do you think my MacBook Pro 1.4 GHz Quad-core Intel Corei5 would be able to handle this plug in ? thanks in advance
Thanks! Probably not. It works fine on my new MacBook Pro m2 I just upgraded to but on my old ones it was just too slow to be very practical
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thanks a lot !
Great video Taylor as always lots of useful information, just a quick question I was wondering how much should I up-charge for property lines and text for a client?
I would just include it with other text add-ins so if it takes another hour to do everything however much you'd charge for that.
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Thanks

Thanks for the comment! Would love to check out any after effects tutorials if you know of any that would help learn how to do it
Hey Thank you for sharing... Out of curiosity would it be simpler to create these on After effects?
Maybe, If you are good at After Effects! (I'm not) haha
Hi Taylor, Can you tell me how to keyframe the points if they are a bit deviation in differnet scenes?

Pretty handy for drone shots! Too bad it’s not premiere as of now. Haha also really like this studio set up
For sure! Really? Most basic one ever 😆

Hey Taylor, im using a PC but haven't been able to find anything similar that's compatible. Can you help?
Hey! Not sure, I’d think there’s probably something that works with after effects but might not do tracking like this one.
Is there anything similar for Lightroom, photoshop?

Is this a premiere plug in too?
Its just for Final Cut right now, unfortunately.
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Dang what a powerful tool! Any ideas what price it'll be at? I'm at work so I couldn't finish the video in one sitting.
@@OaklynMediaLLC Its $189 but with my code TAYLOR10 its 10% off! And it comes with titles that track too.
Is there anything like this available for PC? To use with Adobe?
Unfortunately I don’t think so unless you’re doing it manually with after effects
I am using Kinemaster software for real estate videos editing but how can I make 3D tracking on it ? 🤔
Hey! I don’t know, i’m not familiar with that software 😬
Is there an app for iPhone that I can do similar?
Not that I know of.. sorry!
Any plans for this to come out for Windows/Adobe?
I’d imagine so! A lot of their other plugins are for both.
What if you use davinci resolve
Not sure
Too bad it's not for Premier as well. I'd buy it then.

Such a shame it’s not available for davinci resolve

Oh... first need a drone... lol
They just made it a subscription only option and you have to bundle it with 10 other plugins. $40 a month......Pass now.
