yeah alot of people dont take the time to truly take in muay thai. they just learn some punches and kicks and some knees and they think they can kick ass. thats why i really respect people who take the time to refine their techniques...it really is beutiful when done correctly.
I did a two-day seminar in Richmond, Virginia (at Prodigy Martial Arts) with Vut back in 2000. I had always worked with Ajarn Chai Sirisute (or one of his instructors) in the past and I wanted to see if Vut did things differently. He did, slightly, and I appreciated the second perspective. Vut is a great teacher and a patient one.
Theres too much argument on shin vs ankle bullshit. Just make sure you don't hit with the fucking toes and your fine. Also ankle supports aren't really there for supporting your ankles (though it can be), most use it for a different reason: to protect the skin on the top part of your foot. Anyone who does muay thai can vouch for what im talking about.

you know what else is good the way thai chi stances and put a lot of power into in uppercut, I too practice muay thai
