- After last week’s over-the-top K! Pit featuring While She Sleeps in London, we decided to give Blondies a break from the sweat-drenched fury…so we decided to move 3,500 miles away to Brooklyn for our first-ever American K! Pit, featuring blistering Philadelphian hardcore upstarts Jesus Piece.
In a storm of grinding riffs and flying limbs, the band blasted their way through the back room of our favorite Brooklyn dive bar The Gutter, whipping the crowd into an uncontrollable frenzy of spin-kicks and gang vocals that shook the rafters around them.
Vocalist Aaron Heard quickly lost his shirt and lost his mind, bounding off of the stage and in his crowd while screaming like he would die if he didn’t. The select group of fans privileged to witness the barrage gave him everything they had in return, and hopefully had dental insurance.

Is crazy how far Jesus Piece have come in the past couple of years in terms of recognition. Their shows went from a couple of people moshing to literally entire venues going batshit at their shows, and they haven’t even released any new material!!! Pure fucking gig grind

No disrespect to Hate5 and the man heeeeemself, but it’s RAW and a far better representation for Hardcore and its participants, enthusiasts, the energy is palpable in nearly every single second of footage and that love/care isn’t gonna go anywhere, its always had that cult underground iykyk vibe within that scene many would agree.
Point is both have stellar pros, fuck that comparison game stuff, it’s a never ending loop getting up in that.

Same, dude. Love his style... makes this band for me. I love it all. Worth mentioning that this kind of "beatdown" style HC isn't really my thing but, for whatever reason, this band really does it for me. I esp love their live recordings also. Such a heavy tone!!! It's like mandatory mosh... can't listen to it without at least slamming your arms around and stoming at least a little bit.
