tekken 4 is my personal favorite OST because it adds so much to the overall tone and atmosphere of that game.
Look I have to disagree because Tekken 6 soundtrack was actually good too I love Tekken 5 and it’s soundtrack but Tekken doesn’t miss only T7 had a couple of good songs but come on T6 was cool . They gave us Electric Fountain, Mystical Forest, Fallen Colony, Anger of Earth, Tunnel Disaster, Hidden Retreat? Like why the disrespect to Tekken 6 stages and soundtrack? They were good

I've been playing Tekken for 20+ years, and I can safely say that T5 easily has the most memorable soundtrack out of all the Tekken games. What a masterpiece of a game that was, despite the balancing issues.
In defense of older titles, every Tekken game up to now has had something wonky with balance that's made players complain. The only difference then is that it couldn't be adjusted, yet the majority of players didn't allow that to dictate their overall experience with the game. Even with the million patches T7 has received, there are still things people consider "broken".
Tekken 2 has the best music to me
might not be the best tekken game, but between that Michelle theme and kazuya theme (the ultimate kazuya theme BTW), i just love it
the original tekken also has some great tunes, but after those it's propably tekken 5 (or tag 2 actually)

Dark Resurrection balanced the game considerably and is the most balanced Tekken you can play because everyone is nerfed. Unlike Tekken 5 where a lot of people where "OP".
I actually feel the soundtrack from T2-Tag1 is undefeated. So distinguished and nearly every track is really good.
Ground zero Funk it's perfect for this. What an amazing game Tekken 5 was.

I love Tekken 5's music, some of the best in video game history. But I gotta say, nothing gets me more hype for Tekken than the intro song for 4, Fist for a Fist. That crazy insane jazz funk while Kazuya is laying into the Tekken Force has never been replicated.

Going into Tekken 8 I really hope the composers got a better grasp of what Tekken music really is, because IMO they really missed the mark with Tekken 7’s soundtrack (barring a couple of exceptions like Moonsiders 1st & Vermillion Gates).

The way the *entire* trailer syncs up nearly perfectly is unreal. Each section corresponding to each fight segment, and to top it all off the main guitar riff coming back right when the Tekken 8 logo is revealed goes *hard as hell*

Still to this day I remember breing a kid and buying Tekken 5 from my father's friend shop who was nice Indian guy from South. I paid I think $6 at the time for it and went home and played it with all of my brothers. I will never forget these beautiful memories. Actually my childhood is filled with playing tekken 3,4 and 5. Then we got older & got busy with life. Thank You Namco and Sony for these amazing memories

Perfect Timing
Tekken 5 is pretty much my favorite fighting game of all time. There's tons of other good stuff but it has special place in my heart.
I remember Summer 2005, being 12,5 years old, seeing the game was released and asking my father if he could order it online for me. Intro was fucking sick and I was hyped as hell. Since new characters were in the cover, I tried Raven (Blade) first. Dragon's nest kicks in. Then Feng. With both of them, Jinpachi was something to witness as well.
Then this song gets introduced as well with Kazuya vs. Heihachi. Always on my mind and always will be.
I'm turning 30 in December so it would be nice gift to (hopefully) see Tekken 8 follows the same path. I can't wait to see how Paul and King (especially Deathfist) looks.
Update, Ground Zero funk is not in the game. Everything else is. So close to perfection 9.9/10😂
