Makes tons of sense! Not sure if you’d agree but I really think it’s simple, Palpatine never died in ROTJ, he fell, we saw something that looked like an explosion but we never saw him actually die or being dead. I was NEVER convinced he was dead for all my life. I’ve been vocal about that for years long before I heard his laughter in the trailer. But now obviously more believing than ever that he just managed to survive that fall and faked his death all this time by hiding. I have no educated idea if how and why he did that exactly, just a simple man’s simple thoughts. I’d lmao if I happen to be right. And I’d think it’s a supercool plot twist. Sometimes things are more simple than most would expect.
Essentially Palpatine concealed his spirit into an artifact and transferred his soul. Same plot hole with Lord Voldemort making horcruxes to achieve immortality
I guarantee that the Emperor didn't die on the Second Death Star, so no clones. That explosion as he fell was him opening a rift in time of sorts, like the one we saw in Star Wars Rebels. JJ Abrams likes his time loops and this is how lazily likes to 'change' things in almost all of his stories. Heroes had it. Fringe had it. Star Trek reboot had it. I'm sure there's more, I just can't think of any off the top of my head atm.
I think that Palpatine will return in a complicated way: he HAVE a body vessel but it cannot work without his primal sith spirit from in which can exit the new body vessel while the body is flat and "switched off". It works similar to "astral form" from Dr. Strange. 7:36 - One thing to note here that is hidden: Every poster have a hodded character. Vll - Kylo Vlll - Luke lX - Palpatine Is that a hint for Palpatine existing within Luke and Kylo at the same time? Or is it a hint for him trying to manipulate both Luke and Kylo?
What if Rey is his clone? From the novels we know Palpatine had experiments going on Jakku. What if Rey is an escaped clone of Palpatine. And the memories she has were flash learned place holders til Palpatine transfered his essence over to that body? Just a thought
The number of Cloning experiments Vader did, it would be great if he cloned himself and transfered his consiousness into a clone of his. Since he's a force ghost, his clone could only got the dark side out of it. Thus making a good way to bring Hayden back.
They might also go with whats in the older novels. It explains that if a living force user has a clone of them self that the minds of the original and the clone send echos through the force at each other and will actually drive both of them insane. Thats why the jedi never used cloning to increase there numbers.
We all now a guard saved palps Palpatine wants Rey to fight kylo but kylo redeems This is not what we want to hear because we don’t like it but it’s the truth they are not going to do anything with the animation series or something only fans know because it’s still a company
Half the issues in the Skywalker saga came from the desire for immortality. Papatine clearly wanted to extend his own life, Anakin wanted to save Padme. For him to not try cloning would be a disconnect to the story, seeing as he (presumably) wanted to try and take control of Anakin as a vessal, what would have been any different if he'd just cloned him or himself? (Oh! And there's the Palpatine robot from Battlefront 2, Who's to say he didn't do something similar to that but with his actual brain?)
It's an imposter, he really died at the end of jedi unless he did a force protection bubble like Leia at the last second before death. Already past the no cloning idea. It's either an imposter, last min force protection Mary Poppins bubble, or possession or another living person who he later changes their face and body into his. The last one is like a horror movie explanation.
(who noes if this is cannon anymore or if im remembering correctly) What i read about in the lore, i took plagueis as more a scientist studying the force (he was pretty close to immortality hence why sidious killed him - he wasn't following the rule of 2) and how it can be manipulated to allow to them to conquer life. Tenebrous, plagueis's master, was also a type of sith scientist who had in fact been able to change his own midiclorians into another type of cell, one that allowed the force user to leave the body (among other things). Plagueis was already well into his research of forcing beings by the time the clone army was started (how many years before the clone wars was that? 20-40?) and assuming the time line is still correct plagueis didn't die till at least the first movie, then it is conceivable that they had working clones by the time palp needed them at the end of the 6th movie. The most powerful sith who had the deepest knowledge of the force + the best cloners in the galaxy would surely be able to create something usable. This is why sidious having clones in the expanded universe makes sense and is actually a super cool story, it continues a long story that isn't just lightning and swords. If the leaks are true then it's a big retcon.
I love how this video puts together a logic argument against Palpatine Cloning himself, backed up by reference material. Problem is that he assumes that JJ is A) Talented and B) Actually cares. Keep in mind the lore has already been pretty much destroyed by The Last Jedi. Now force users can force project and force teleport objects, as well as interact with real people as force ghosts. Also, hyperspace vehicles can now act as unstoppable weapons of mass destruction.
I mean, cloning would explain his comeback. No one's surviving a space station explosion AFTER a reactor core explosion AFTER falling into a reactor pit.
I love you're videos brother you do a wonderful job. I'm not going to spoil anything for anyone who cares about Episode 9. But that is not what happens in the up coming movies. I would rather see you're idea made into a full length movie that would be awesome. That would be Star Wars thanks for all you do.
But Palpatine cloned someone to be Snoke and Snoke had The Force. He could have done this with himself. Maybe the reason Snoke has all those scars on him is that the force warped him, but he has the the force.
What if Palpatine transfered his essence to the world between worlds? When he died his spirit traveled to a dimension beyond time and space and the Death Star II isn't even present, it's just a manifestation of his power, sort of like a Force nexus, something like IT'S house where it's only a manifestation of IT'S presence and that explains why he out lives balance, his presence is beyond timelines and once he gets freed after absorbing true power, he can rewrite the timeline and remove his death from existence, and Snoke, an old Imperial adviser who got his scars from fighting corrupt Imperials who tried to take over the Empire for themselves, he didn't have the Force initially, but after meeting Palpatine's spirit, Palpatine shared some of his powers and Snoke promised he would lead the First Order until someone with true power gets to Palpatine, but Snoke betrayed him and attempted to kill Rey instead of presenting her to Palpatine so he won't absorb her power, and then he's attempting to assassinate Kylo, but Palpatine was smarter, he used Force suggestion in Kylo's mind to give him the idea to trick Snoke, and then he blocked Snoke from sensing the lightsaber, so Palpatine killed Snoke, he also manipulated Rey out of deadly situations with Force suggestion where he would just tell her what moves to do so he could bring Rey and Kylo to him and drain their powers to become a Force God, so Rey and Kylo have to defeat him by using a ritual to access the Word Between Worlds and enter the cosmic Force, but once they're there, he's already stronger than them in the cosmic form but the Force Ghosts can interact with the cosmic plane so Anakin defeats Palpatine
While I would agree, it seems like that ship has sailed, there is Dr. Cylo to consider. He somehow kept transfering his conscious to a new body. Not I don't know how or if those bodies are "engineered", but considering his force-mimickers were bio-synthetic, I would think so would his bodies be... I also think Kylo Ren is stronger than you give him credit for, even if his Byronic hero is more Heathcliff than Frankenstein's Monster. It was mentioned in TLJ that Rey and Kylo Ren both have "Raw" stength and if you pay attention in his fight scenes, he has way more finesse than Rey. her fear and anger show more than his also. Kylo's biggest strength though is self control. Anakin often had fits of rage that he took out on others, Kylo had yet to really do anything extreme until he's in the AT-At at the end of TLJ where he "vader" choke-holds... But Kylo Ren could of killed Rey at various points if he really wanted to, but he doesn't, because his goal is about recruiting her, not killing her. We also have to remember that this story is setting the stage of an evolution in Force philosophy as Kylo (and Snoke) do not see themselves as Sith---we don't understand their reasoning in this alleged distinction or if Kylo Ren have been deceived there, but this is about these two (Rey, Kylo), evolving the force philosophy forward... Rey may be powerful, and while her struggle is different than Lukes, as he had trouble believing in the Force in order to use, Rey's problems stem out of not being certain of her own identity, not her ability to use the Force. Thus for her and this story, it's about what she uses the power for, not that she can use it.
Rey may be physically strong with the force (which I genuinely think they’ll explain in 9) but she’s emotionally very week and the battles she loses are all emotional. Her whole life she’s had to fight physically, that may not be a challenge for her. But I think her growth in the movies comes more from a standpoint of she can’t let go of her past and she can’t listen to Luke when he tells her she isn’t in touch with her emotions. She goes to try and save Kylo, against Luke’s warning, and she may have fought some guards but she ultimately lost what she went there to save. She lost the real fight, which was saving Ben. So maybe physically she can win most of the time, but I think her character arch will be learning how to overcome all of the challenges of people leaving her.

@@rl00668 Well in the Clone Wars series I believe Darth Maul used this ability to keep himself alive. But other than that, I can't remember anything else. I see where you are coming from though.
Clone troopers were actually known to deteriorate mentally after the age of 40 Wich to them was 80, It could have something to do with the inhibitor implants affecting their minds, the instability of the cloning prosess and artificial aging process. or just that it's something that Jango Fett was prone to do as he died in his mid to late 30s, but who's to say that a clone of Palps wouldn't experience rapid mental decay

JJ Abrams likes his time loops and this is how lazily likes to 'change' things in almost all of his stories. Heroes had it. Fringe had it. Star Trek reboot had it. I'm sure there's more, I just can't think of any off the top of my head atm.
Black Knight intense and concentrated energies have always created weird anomalies. Both in sci-fi and real life...
Based on what you said, the character of Kylo Ren seems a metaphor for the entire Sequel Trilogy.
He may not have successfully cloned himself, but I'm sure he gave it a shoot. Like a bitch stewie version or something.
Seems like clones are ultimately still different people even if they have the same base.
I hope Palpateen mops the floor with Ray just completely obliterated
That wouldn't empower women though. I doubt it'll take Rey more than 30 sec to kill Palpatine
WatchMan O1 the whole new trilogy is just a giant disappointment seriously don’t get your hopes up, that being said I agree with Bobby ^
imagine a senate full of senates
Great video!
Apparently, Rise of Skywalker will be pretty disappointing according to a video where the ending has been leaked
I think that Palpatine will return in a complicated way: he HAVE a body vessel but it cannot work without his primal sith spirit from
in which can exit the new body vessel while the body is flat and "switched off". It works similar to "astral form" from Dr. Strange.
7:36 - One thing to note here that is hidden: Every poster have a hodded character.
Vll - Kylo
Vlll - Luke
lX - Palpatine
Is that a hint for Palpatine existing within Luke and Kylo at the same time? Or is it a hint for him trying to manipulate both Luke and Kylo?
What if Rey is his clone? From the novels we know Palpatine had experiments going on Jakku. What if Rey is an escaped clone of Palpatine. And the memories she has were flash learned place holders til Palpatine transfered his essence over to that body? Just a thought
Mandalor a bitch clone from a dude? Would that work??
Amazing how you hit snokes origin right on the nail
Considering the state of Disney Star Wars, I'm betting that we'll get no explanation and the staff saying that they 'subverted our expectations'
Smh
Eat your words @Star Wars Theory.
A "failed" clone, who was supposed to be a dark side force user but turns to light side, is very interesting idea. I want this in Episode 9.
How is Darth Plagueis consider legends (6:25)? If he was mentioned in Ep 3? Unless i am missing something? I thought all movies are still cannon...
This is really Interesting and great video.Palpatine:"Not for the Sith this is Supreme leader Snoke he would find your lost Resistance!"
We all now a guard saved palps
Palpatine wants Rey to fight kylo but kylo redeems
This is not what we want to hear because we don’t like it but it’s the truth they are not going to do anything with the animation series or something only fans know because it’s still a company
“Not everyone is born perfect like Rey.” No shit that’s why we don’t like her.
I personally think it makes more sense that Palpatine figure out the technique how manipulate the midichlorians in order to extend his life.
Robomerc like he completed Plageuis work.
@@OdintheGermanShepherd the Darth Vader comics that took place post Revenge of the Sith hint towards that very concept.
I think that palatines clone was in new hope and he's in the rise of skywalker ///my opinion
Palpatine clone gone wrong = hero sounds very interesting.
The real reason is that Snoke was killed in episode 8 and they needed a villain so they brought back a 90 year old Sidious.
I liked the tangent you went on there, I needed to hear that with all of the crap going on in my life right now. Just know it was appreciated.
Snoke is a less-powerful clone of Plagueis.
YOU WERE RIGHT ON PALPATINE CLONING SNOKE!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!!
creating clones of himself to provide himself with body parts after being thrown down giant electricity tube by Vader?
You’re so fucking good! Man, I hope 9 isn’t a let down. I want to legitimately enjoy it 💯
100th comment! Nice video! 😁👍 💯
I think them saying that this Palpatine and Snoke being clones would be the best move, at this point.
Here Before I Force Choked My Wife,I Stopped Listening To Palpatine to Watch This Video..
Maybe he cloned....Me
*possibly*
@@anakinskywalker549 That would explain all of you other Anakin's here on RUclips
This is unfair!!
@@amin_taheri And Outrageous!!!
So maybe physically she can win most of the time, but I think her character arch will be learning how to overcome all of the challenges of people leaving her.
if maul can survive being cut in half , its a cake walk for Palps XD
"In legends, let's take this quote from Kreya in knights of the old republic 2"
Me: looks up at tv as my game is loading into my save on knights of the old republic 2.
I feel like Palpatine survived the fall because of the Sith Rage ability used by Darth Maul and Anakin Skywalker. If Darth Maul learned it from Darth Sidious then there is no way Darth Sidious didn't use this ability.
When did they use this ability in canon?
@@rl00668 Well in the Clone Wars series I believe Darth Maul used this ability to keep himself alive. But other than that, I can't remember anything else. I see where you are coming from though.
Hey technically didn't win against obiwan because he would become more powerful than vader could possibly imagine. But awesome video!!
Ray is 19?? Dang, only one year older than me 😂
Crazy, eh?
