@@KatrinaDancer if her friend Nichole wasn't ALL over Shanann not answering withing hours, may have ended much differently for Chris. Nichole is a damn hero!
@@AliceA333 It would have been TOTALLY different! Her car, purse, and phone woulda been gone. I know of two cases where the wife disappeared, and the husband was never charged. A whole family? Even better. Kudos to Officer Coonrod, too, for believing Nickole A, and staying. He easily could have left after finding the house locked up. Nate amped up the suspicion by bringing everybody over to see footage showing that Shanann never drove out of the garage. Amazing divine intervention.
i think it's telling that all the things he says about the children are "annoying" things. he describes nagging them about dinner, them making messes, them knocking him down and stuff. the moments his smile broadens are when he describes not putting them to bed, not reading to them.
WOW! What an EXCELLENT comment! 💯👏💯👏💯👏 That is something so subtle so few people pick up on... The behaviors he highlights are those of pestering, hurting, misbehaving, being naughty This tells you a lot about his true feelings towards his kids & how he *really* saw them Chris wasn't this "perfect, loving father" who suddenly, inexplicably snapped one day, out of the blue, as some believe. He was a sullen man who had been suppressing rage against his family for years He didn't have a true connection to his own children, and saw them chiefly as annoyances and hindrances, drains and burdens, neverending obligations. He even told the investigators during one of his interviews the girls were starting to become "bossy, like their (Mom)." He first voiced this complaint to his mistress, when he whined about the girls picking up on Shan'ann's henpecking and ordering him around and how they were repeating amd mimicking it. You know that was grinding his gears. I think he also had soooo much hidden hatred against Shan'ann, and, unfortunately, likely owing to their gender, combined with how little quality time he got to spend with them between him working everyday and them being in day care, began to just see them as extensions of her. When she had to go, so did they.
Yeah, I caught that too. He’s pointing out when his daughter behaved negatively as what he “misses” about them. He doesn’t care about them at all. All he can think about is how much they annoyed him.
During this interview, he was asked about his shirt. Chris smiled and said how much he liked it. Imagine your wife and kids are missing, and you wax poetic about a stupid t-shirt. That should have told everybody something right there.
My eyes would grow "big" if someone would ask me that at a time when my wife and children have gone missing. I would cut the interview right there thinking "I am not going to talk about anything but getting my wife and children back, seriously, I am not going to talk about something as trivial as a t-shirt."
He knew they weren't just "missing" he knew, they were never coming back and they wouldnt ever be able to. He loved his stupid t-shirt more than, them.
He's not upset at what the trio could be going through, he keeps saying things like, how he needs them back for the house to be complete again. That is what you think when a beloved piece of furniture is ruined and has to be thrown out, you think about how you feel. Your kid is missing in a store for 10 seconds are you thinking about yourself? No, all you think about is them and finding them and their safety. His focus is inward not outward. The interview is a confession.
Bella wouldn't fit through the hatch into the oil tank. The story he told (the more acceptable one imo) is that his hand placed over mouth & she fought, injuring her mouth. Imo, those injuries came from forcing her through the rim of the hatch. In le interviews when asked abt the girls fitting thru the 8" opening...he stated " it isn't like I had to stomp her through." I think he was actually telling the truth.
Also according to the documentary Bella was aware something was off. Mom was in the car but not moving. Then Celeste was gone and it sounded like she said "no daddy, don't" right before he killed her too. Sick, sick man. I hope that haunts him for the rest of his life
@9:07 when talking about the girls cuddling up on their sofas, he almost says 'and I'm never gunna see that again' but stumbles his words and says something else instead! Such a giveaway interview. Great commentary by the presenter btw
I can't even begin to explain how much I detest Chris Watts. The victim blaming regarding this case is disgusting, I personally have defended Shanann online numerous times. Yes, Bella asked him to please not do to her what he did to her sister, or something to that effect. She fought him. I like the flashback forensics idea!
And he also said, "The darkness inside of me had won, it was still in me, though, I thought maybe permanently. I felt evil, swallowed up by this thing inside of me. I felt like I could kill anything and be justified for doing it."
You were right about him closing his eyes when he mentions Bella's name. Apparently according to accounts, Bella said, "Daddy, don't" when he began suffocating her😢.

That is something so subtle so few people pick up on...
The behaviors he highlights are those of pestering, hurting, misbehaving, being naughty
This tells you a lot about his true feelings towards his kids & how he *really* saw them
Chris wasn't this "perfect, loving father" who suddenly, inexplicably snapped one day, out of the blue, as some believe.
He was a sullen man who had been suppressing rage against his family for years
He didn't have a true connection to his own children, and saw them chiefly as annoyances and hindrances, drains and burdens, neverending obligations.
He even told the investigators during one of his interviews the girls were starting to become "bossy, like their (Mom)."
He first voiced this complaint to his mistress, when he whined about the girls picking up on Shan'ann's henpecking and ordering him around and how they were repeating amd mimicking it.
@@cyberpunkcentral8500💯
Yeah, I caught that too. He’s pointing out when his daughter behaved negatively as what he “misses” about them. He doesn’t care about them at all. All he can think about is how much they annoyed him.
The blinking the dry mouth, the Duper Delight, smirk, clear guilt
During this interview, he was asked about his shirt. Chris smiled and said how much he liked it. Imagine your wife and kids are missing, and you wax poetic about a stupid t-shirt. That should have told everybody something right there.
It's hard to remember a TV 'my family is missing' interview more fraught with deception: Scott Peterson comes to mind.
My eyes would grow "big" if someone would ask me that at a time when my wife and children have gone missing. I would cut the interview right there thinking "I am not going to talk about anything but getting my wife and children back, seriously, I am not going to talk about something as trivial as a t-shirt."
I think the police requested the reporter ask that question to see how Watts would react.
He knew they weren't just "missing" he knew, they were never coming back and they wouldnt ever be able to.
He loved his stupid t-shirt more than, them.
His psychopathic narcissism drives all his behaviour, he only cares about himself to a whole other level.
Really good point
You were absolutely right about his reaction to Bella. She fought for her life. Murdering Bella wasn't as easy as killing Shanan and Celeste:(
Great observation! That shares some similarities with someone else in the news right now.
Bella wouldn't fit through the hatch into the oil tank.
The story he told (the more acceptable one imo) is that his hand placed over mouth & she fought, injuring her mouth.
Imo, those injuries came from forcing her through the rim of the hatch. In le interviews when asked abt the girls fitting thru the 8" opening...he stated " it isn't like I had to stomp her through."
I think he was actually telling the truth.
He's so disgusting
😢
Also according to the documentary Bella was aware something was off. Mom was in the car but not moving. Then Celeste was gone and it sounded like she said "no daddy, don't" right before he killed her too. Sick, sick man. I hope that haunts him for the rest of his life
@9:07 when talking about the girls cuddling up on their sofas, he almost says 'and I'm never gunna see that again' but stumbles his words and says something else instead! Such a giveaway interview.
Great commentary by the presenter btw

@@melsafken764they are far from "misogynistic" 🤣🤣. Just because they critique women doesn't make them misogynists.
Guess what?? Women do things wrong too!
@@melsafken764stop making it into a competition. Grow up ffs
I agree.
It's done better because of that.
I'm hooked.
His mumbling and shakey voice and muttering is what made me think he sounded suspicious
Its crazy how the camera person picked up on it too, zoomed right in on his face
Damn good choice, I've seen this interview 1000x & as somebody with no training it screamed guilty to me the whole time. I'm excited to see this & hear why.
Yes! to "Flashback Forensics" !!! Love the branding idea.
Thanks!!
By the way he's talking" you can tell he's somehow confident he's saying the right things" never realizing he was creating strong suspicion!
him not shedding one tear when explaining his family may be dead is crazy
Very educational. Thank you so much
I hate that piece of wasted space. I followed his trial before RA. This is a case that haunts me. He accepted an interview about his cell in Wisconsin. He was talking about how good people were treating him. Sickening.
I swear you read my mind,Dr.G! I was just rewatching his interview to watch specifically for his body language last night before bed! You're the best out there!
Thank you so much 🙏🏼 If there are any old cases you want analyzed, let me know!
@@drgexplains Tony Todt!!! That vile human makes me want to vomit 🤢
@@drgexplains I just got to the end of the video and saw you meant like OLD cases. I'd love one on Edmund Kemper. He doesn't get talked about as much as the others, and to me, he is the scariest.
@@stephaniebrendle9109 They don't have to be like really OLD cases, but anything from more than a couple of years ago. But Edmund Kemper would be a great one too!!
Your videos are fascinating. I have a bachelor’s degree in Justice Administration and it is so interesting to see you read these people. Great channel! I look forward to your upcoming content!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
He laughs and smiles and shows absolutely NO concern or emotion about his missing family. Not one tear, not one sad moment from him
9:50, when u paused? Omg. The grin on his face! If u seen that pic, u would NEVER guess this is what he's talking about! Diabolical.
Yes Dr. G! I’ve been waiting on this one! Fantastic job as always!
When he finally gave his actual confession, which was only audio recorded, and was like a year after he went to prison, Watts said that Bella was the last person he killed and she asked him if he was gonna do the same thing to her that he did to Cece and after he said yes, Bella yelled "No, Daddy!" So, that may have been why he had the different reaction that
Stephen McDaniel did an interesting news interview in Georgia in 2011 after he murdered Lauren Giddings that would be interesting to see you review. During the interview, he panicked, because the reporter told him that the police had found a body in the trash.... his second interrogation was interesting too, because once he became a suspect, his demeanor totally changed to acting spaced out and odd (the detectives were pretty bad too).
They later found a vlog online where he described doing exactly that if/when he snapped. He said he’d go “catatonic” on em for a few days, and at some point when they showed him a pic of his family or something, he’d snap out of it with no memory of his actions.
STEPHEN!! Come on Stephen! STEPHEN!!
I would love to see you do Jodi Arias! She is one of the most conniving and manipulative women I have ever seen on a criminal trial. She did several interviews before her trial, and testified on the stand for several days! She is a fascinating example of pure psychotic narcissism!
This doctor is spot on with every statement. His observation skills are the best I've ever seen
This is great content. I’m a police officer so this is a teaching video for me. Keep the content coming.
