Listened to this again two years later, and IMO, flute playing doesn't get any better than this. Brilliant. Everything where it should be. Thank you, Seiya-san.
This is the second time I've been reminded that Widor's chamber music is just as good, in it's own fashion, as his famous organ suites (which he called "symphonies"). The sonics here favor the flute a bit much, but the playing is obviously first-rate. Parts of the 3rd movement exploit the flute's lower range beautifully, and the 4th is technically brilliant without being flashy. Thanks for posting!
Seiya Ueno’s performance (sound texture, dynamic interpretation etc.) partakes of the flamboyance and panache reserved only for the very few (once-in-a-decade type) flautist.
Bravissimo-plex! Now that I've listened more to Seiya-san, I am blessed to appreciate more his gift. I am so glad to hear you play, Seiya-san. Thank you.
Which edition are you playing especially the last page? Mine looks completely different and this version is brilliant. Bravo on a fantastic performance. tnx
Ueno is absolutely fabulous, but I was in a really "unusual" place to have publicly posted my weird comments three months about this video, and I APOLOGIZE about it. All I can do is say I'm sorry. Everyone please don't pay attention to them, and I'll keep trying (to be better.)
Good performance, but I have one doubt. Which edition of the suite are you playing? Because I have the Paris Heugel edition, and the 4th movement is very different.
Want flute-playing to be restored to being about the purity and musicality heard here, to be what Rampal and Marion were about, and not the "tricks, magic and shenanigans" we've got today of the Pahud's, the Perlove's, the jokers who can't play, and everyone knows it! RESTORE THE STANDARD to make flute-playing to be about honest and obvious brilliance, love, talent, musicality and evolvement that was what Rampal was about and what other flutists, including me, are about.
Très joli son à la flûte !
Très musical, un grand bravo et je suis aussi flûtiste...
とっても素敵な曲ですね〰️‼️

中学からすごく好きです、本当に感動します

His performance is quite natural, a kind of gift. So that, his future must be brilliant. Good luck!
