Christopher is a kid in a candy shop. He knows his stuff. Thank you, Rachelle, for all your interesting videos. ❤
I always love Christopher going through Barbie stuff - I am a tad jealous LOL I have been curating and cataloguing my collection so my kids know what is in it when I am gone so they can sell it with knowledge.
This is such a good idea
I need to do that with my collection of dolls from 40s and 50s. Bought a book I can write in with room for pictures. Also want to create a value guide spreadsheet and try to keep it up to date.
Wow that was great. Thanks so much for sharing. I have my original Barbie(#5) Ken(#1) and Midge. I wouldn't be able to leave them in a store. I was a nervous wreck when I sent my Barbie away to be restored. But she came back gorgeous and I was so relieved. I only had one Mattel outfit each for Barbie and Ken, and just a few Mommy made clothes. I wish I would have saved up my allowance to buy more. I only got 25 cents a week so it seemed impossible at the time. Oh well, now I am a Barbie seamstress and I can sew and knit and recreate all the outfits I want to so that is fun too. :). My latest is the sweater girl and I have knit that set in lots of different colors including the original.
Such a fun video! I'm amazed at how much christopher knows about all the Barbie stuff! His knowledge on the subject is incredible! ❤
Christopher you are amazing with your knowledge of Barbie! Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you, was so much fun watching and learning. Appreciate you both 🩷
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love Christopher’s videos on Barbie, thank you so much for featuring him! ❤
Me too!! It’s so fun to do Barbie videos!
You guys spoil your watchers. Glad you're out there doing these... this share is just perfection. ❤
Our pleasure! That’s super sweet to say, thank you!! 🤩
Not only do I watch this channel 4 all the interesting dolls, that you showcase, I watch this channel because I learned so much. I have always been a Barbie enthusiast, and I am constantly educating myself on all the different Barbies that came out. However, Christopher is so knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff. Not to mention he is just so gorgeous. I’m jealous every time I look at him.❤❤❤❤
Love the unboxing!!! Lots of fun!!🤎🤎🤎
Yay! Thank you!
Love see Christopher go through the Barbie dolls and outfits❤❤❤
Christopher is tops at his game!
So cool and fun to dig inside the doll case. History who own original as a child. What fun to watch. ❤
This was very fun to see. I wish I could re-claim my old Barbie case and camper Van and go through it all today. Sadly it’s so common for parents to get rid of toys as children age out. My Mom was the queen of decluttering😢
Fun to go over all of this with you guys! Just like playing Barbie-changing her clothes!!
How cool! What an impressive collection! Only the stories those dolls and their outfits could tell. I wish there was a way to learn more about the story behind the dolls. I love ya'lls Barbie videos so much. Christopher is so knowledgeable, it's amazing! I hope for more Barbie videos soon!
I love when you guy's do Barbie videos.❤i think both you and Christopher our awesome❤thank you both
Love how Christopher describes ítems . ❤
This reminds me when I was little, how I did not like the Barbies face until the later 60's, early 70's. Then I couldn't get enough.
Christopher, Bradley Justice could likely tell you the name of the illustrator for the booklets. 😊 Great reveal. I enjoyed this so much!
Whenever I get clone and mommy-made clothing in a lot, I always clean it up and give it a nice press and keep them in my collection. Especially mommy-made stuff. I just can't throw away stuff like that the way some collectors do. Loving hands made something to delight a child, and that always gives me warm fuzzies. And sometimes those fashions are actually quite lovely. I have several dolls displayed wearing the more stylish examples of mommy-made couture from my collection.
Whenever I watch one of your Barbie videos it makes me want to dig out all my vintage dolls and clothes! It is frustrating because I’m in the throes of doing a clean out of years of accumulated stuff 😂, and I therefore have limited room to spread out everything. I was (and still am) a Barbie snob-I only wanted items made by Mattel. I have a lot of questions about some of my dolls, especially regarding cleaning. I’m thinking I may have to pay you two a visit someday soon. I assume you accept appointments? Now I’m excited about my dollies again. Love your videos ❤
That was lovely!
Thanks, we had fun with this one!
Midge" I SAW that" ,lol the look on her face says it all.
Wow what goodies! The brunette Midge is my favorite I am restoring our childhood one If you want to keep the shape of the glitter skirt just bunch up some tissue paper into a ball and place it under the skirt to fit It works! Love your site ❤ ♥
I’ve watched this 3 times and I love it more each time if that’s even possible. I’ve been inspired to recollect my Barbies and then some! Love Christopher’s passion for Barbie!❤
Wonderful things and i enjoy the
Barbie time with Christopher.wow.what beauty goes into this beautiful doll.♥️🎀💙
I buy a lot of TLC lots, and you'd be amazed at what you can find. The mommy-made and clone outfits that I have come across have been stunning. A little wash, press, and mending can change some of these old outfits. It's so funny that Christopher mentioned pairing the Dinner at 8 with the gold belt because that is exactly what I did lol. Recently, I've been more focused on the mommy-made and clone outfits because they, to me, have more flare and uniqueness. Not to put down Mattel, but it is so exciting to come across a beautiful, well-made, one-of-a-kind garment. Thank you for sharing ❤
Love you Christopher. Always make me laugh! You speak my language! Looking forward to seeing you hopefully in October
I'm not a Barbie fan, but this was fun.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love sorting collection pieces too
I noticed and shook my head over the blurring of Barbie’s bosom. The children who play with the dolls see those bosoms all the time. There is no logic to this, oh well. I enjoy Mommy made clothes. Many women were gifted seamstresses and I’ve run across clothes of high quality. I started sewing for my dolls very young and later made clothes for my baby sister’s Barbie. Wish she still had them…they were the beginning of my self study of tailoring and design. Barbie’s clothes are my favorite part of watching these reveals. Snaps are such a great way of telling when and where something was made. During the 50s square snaps were used for some dolls exclusively. Premier made a lot of clone items for a variety of dolls.
I have recently started collecting vintage Barbies. I would love to see a video on how to identify these dolls. I hear people mention a #3, #5 etc. I’d love to learn how to determine what age they are. I really enjoy the Barbie posts. ❤️
Great topic! Thanks for the video idea.
@@RachelHoffmanDolls I’m looking forward to seeing that video! Keep up the great work!
"that's a 1980's coke face" LOL!
He’s so funny 🤣🤣🤣
This was interesting 💜🧸💜🧸
When Christopher said 1980s coke face! I got tickled lol I love seeing this.
That part was so funny!!
Great video, I always look forward to both of you! Christopher- both Evening Splendor and Golden Girl were available in 1959/60 as TM. Even though that golden girl dress is R tagged, the brown shoes could've still come with it as there was significant overlap between R and tm pieces even within sets.. Eg tm box, R jacket, #1 shoes with holes, a lot was mismatched transitioning to the registered trademark in 1960
Love this....can you tell me about the bisque standing up in the room next to Christopher with the blue dress and straw hat. Her maker and size? Is she available thanx Donna
Christopher and Rachel, I so LOVE how Christopher educates us on these 1960s Barbies💯💯💯💯💯 that are before not only his time, but mine as well😃😃!!! Christopher got me into liking these 1960s Barbies🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💖!!! And although I never had a Ken Doll😔😔, my favorite Ken Doll is the 1971 Malibu Ken because I think he is so handsome🤗🤗!!! However, I really LOVE the blue eyes and how handsome this 1960s Ken's face was painted😃😃💙💙💙💙💙!!! And I so LOVE Ken's purple box too because purple is my favorite color💜💜💜💜💜!!!! And I so LOVE that Brunette Barbie Doll in both the white Tutu🤍🤍🤍 that Christopher dressed her in as much as the elegant black Solo in the Spotlight gown🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤!!!!! And I so LOVE that beautiful white eyelet and sparkle Party Date Dress on the blonde Midge🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💖!!! However, It is a shame that the Blonde haired Midge has some of her head coming off😔😔 because she has really beautiful blue eyes and a very expressive face💙💙💙💙💙!!! Still, I can not judge because I have a Uneeda life sized doll that was made before I was born in 1967 that my Late Grandfather gave to me as a Child and she is well loved, but now she has hole in her head because after I washed her hair, her hair separated showing a hole, but that is another story😬😔. And I really LOVE Blonde haired Midge in the Orange Blossom that feels like she is going to Church on Sunday back in 1959 to the early 1960s or she is just a Bride's Maid at Barbie's Wedding to Ken🤔🤔🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💖!!! Thank you Christopher and Rachel for sharing with us these really cute Barbie, Ken, and Midge Dolls and their fun and beautiful clothing💖💖💙💙🧡🧡🖤🖤!!!!
Wish Christopher could attend the Barbie Con…. He would go nuts at room sales… people often sell their stuff at good prices… we can sell up to a day or so before the retail sellers…
❤hello
