The Cure - In Between Days (1985 Top Of The Pops) Redubbed and extended. Clip taken from the BBC programme 'Big in America - British Hits in the USA'. www.bbc.co.uk/p...
My brother in Heaven loved this band. He introduced me to the best Goth band. He would play their albums/cassettes before they even became hits. He passed on his musical knowledge into my soul. Until we meet again Big brother. 💔💙 *"Yesterday I got so scared* *I shivered like a child* *Yesterday away from you* *It froze me deep inside* Come back, come back Don't walk away Come back, come back *Come back today* *Come back, come back* What can't you see? Come back, come back *COME BACK TO ME"* (Songwriter: Robert Smith)
For how simple this song is, it's really quite brilliant. I thought it was the best song from the great The Head on the Door album and one of The Cure's finest songs. One of my very favorites, for sure.
Agreed. I couldn't believe how good this song was when I first heard it, just after its release. The intro, for instance, just kept getting better and better.
Yesterday I got so old I felt like I could die Yesterday I got so old It made me want to cry Go on, go on, just walk away Go on, go on, your choice is made Go on, go on, and disappear Go on, go on away from here And I know I was wrong When I said it was true That it couldn't be me and be her In between without you Without you Yesterday I got so scared I shivered like a child Yesterday away from you It froze me deep inside Come back, come back Don't walk away Come back, come back Come back today Come back, come back What can't you see? Come back, come back Come back to me And I know I was wrong When I said it was true That it couldn't be me and be her In between without you Without you Without you Without you Without you, without you Without you, without you
A massively influential band. Pulp remind me of The Cure. I'm sure without this band there wouldn't have been any Pulp, along with many many other bands.
A truly, deeply brilliant British band. Utter pioneers and globally respected and admired. I cannot thank them enough for just being so great. Thank you x
im about to turn the big 50 had forgetten about this song i was 14 in 85 got emotional listening to the words nothing worse then seeing a middle age man break down
yessir that has happened to me. it's odd how songs that have such an affect on us can be forgotten and then when you find the songs again, listening to them brings back that same flood of emotions
Escuchar esta canción en cassette por mi hermano a tan corta edad y tiempo después darte cuenta que acabas de escuchar tremenda joyita. Agradezco haber tenido un hermano con tan buen gusto musical 🖤
still love, love, love between ...without you...come back...to me Loneliness is a good feeling when created by ourselves but it’s the worst feeling when gifted by others Hope everyone have a good day
I'm afraid the world has always been insane because humans are insane.... just look at any old time news reports from any time period in the 20th century ....but much better innovative music that's for sure compared to todays horrendous auto tuned nonsense.
This a classic great song, up there with the Beatles and Abba. It never really hit the mainstream but is at the top of indie, college music even in current generations. Why all the fuss about lip syncing? He's not even singing close to the mike so there is no way it could be live. Also they have wanted to show this an acoustic number. Piano, acoustic bass plus guitar. Bit of a genius is our Robert!
Now they found the Wigs finally and hit their stride looking like only the Cure could. Smith was such a good dancer! 🕺 He dances like a freakin Puppet. Someone’s pulling his strings! 🤣😅😆 But he wrote great pop songs so I’m just joking. The Big Wigs are lovely too! 🤣🎸👏🏻
Hey there! Number one: how old are you? 13, 14, 15 ?if so , I can't judge you my friend...u still in diapers... so no hard feelings .... you'll learn hopefully...🙏 Number two: Everything about Robert is so unique and genius, he composed and was the head of that band.... wig or not, you have to be an idiot not to recognize the talent and the excellent music the British ALWAYS BROUGHT to the world 🌎. My advice: listen, learn but not just Justin Bieber or another thing like that 😂
@@laurahollenika3906 I don’t listen to JB. I won’t even say his name. Smith is talented.! I saw the Cure live years ago. Excellent show! Now it’s too bad that Smith looks like a GrandMa. 😂👏🏻
@@laurahollenika3906 The Big Wigs! That’s what the Cure should be called! And yes, the British have given the world great music over the years! No doubt about it! But let’s not forget the many excellent contributions by American, Canadian and Australian bands and individuals over the years as well. And I didn’t forget Abba from Sweden and then the Scorpions and Kraftwerk from Germany! All excellent groups! Don’t you agree?
@@dynjarren8355 and yes I do agree on that... but generally speaking, there's no nation that can compite with the brits ... but that's just my opinion... And the options of pretty much everyone I know 😁 Much love to u 👊🥰✌️😘
Correct. All bands have to lip synch on TOTP. Check the Nirvana appearance - or The Cure - Forest appearance. their bad lip synch is a form of protest. But I've seen them live a number of times and they are tight as a live band.
@@wickrman1 not a fan in any way. Just stating my opinion based on my knowledge of the band that they had a few good early years.. only thing “cringe” is this lame version of the band. Sorry it bothers you that I don’t like this .. I’m sure the Cure couldn’t give 2 shits what I think.. why do you?
Robert and Simon's hair is MAGNIFICENT! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

Legendary song.still gives me intense breathing emotions..after almost 40 years!
yes indeed. incredible song
Yesterday I got so old
I felt like I could die
Yesterday I got so old
It made me want to cry
Go on, go on, just walk away
Go on, go on, your choice is made
Go on, go on, and disappear
Go on, go on away from here
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
In between without you
Without you
Yesterday I got so scared
I shivered like a child
Yesterday away from you
It froze me deep inside
Come back, come back
Don't walk away
Come back, come back
Come back today
Come back, come back
What can't you see?
Come back, come back
Come back to me
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
In between without you
Without you
Without you
Without you
Without you, without you
Without you, without you
Omg I can’t get over how cute he is on this. I’ve watched it like 100 times in the last few days!
One of the best cure songs ever such a wonderful song and Robert voice is so beautiful.
Everyone who grew up in the 80s will have a memory of this song. Good or bad..!
Totally agree that and boys don't cry
A perfect song...

Best band, best song, best album 💜

The first song I heard from the Cure back in 1985, still have the original 45 single with “Stop Dead” as the b-side.
The cure and its pearls 😍

Trop bien😳
Alto play bak!!
TOTP siempre lo hacia, hasta con queen lo hicieron, lo bueno de The Cure y Robert Smith es que hacian cosas para que la gente se de cuenta de eso.
Bob got a crimper for Christmas!

Robert could teach a lot of girls today on how to apply the right amount of makeup lol
The unabashed lip syncing in the music industry was the worst back then.
How come the people in the audience did not look or dress anything like me or my friends back then lol
sad this isnt actually live
Now they found the Wigs finally and hit their stride looking like only the Cure could.

Everyone looks dated in this video apart from The Cure.
playbackazo !!!
No worse lip syncing with TikTok 🤦🏻♂️ the cure baby!!
You could tell that Robert Smith was highly uncomfortable with this performance.
The is clearly a lip sync
Well, that's Top Of The Pops for you. They still do this today.

So the Nirvana, they made their "smells like teen spirit" backtrack funny🤣😂🤦
I see Robert bought a jacket that would last. That said, its probably a little tight now.
The Cure was good from 79-83ish. then this shit.
Come on, this song is fucking fantastic
What's it like being wrong?
But you are watching this shit
