Thank you very much Verrillo!!; my view on rolling credit spreads (for instante a bull put) is to roll it first to a Bear Put (which is consistent given you have to buy the leg you sold and sell the leg you bought) and then roll it again to the Bull put; this will imply more fees for IBKR and widen the initial bull put spread to match the price in case you don't want to pay for rolling, but it may help in case the initial bull put is ITM. In this case, IBKR mobile app and desktop displays correctly the information of the strategy.
Their desktop version (new) is becoming Webull which is a good direction.. I do wish however it wasn’t missing so many features still. TWS is like a Bloomberg terminal compared to desktop.
At IBKR, Options Roll Over Tool (with Trading Tool drop down menu) is only to Roll single leg Options Contract? I did not see an option to Roll a Spread within this tool?
On the IBKR desktop rollover the roll Contract bar, stays grayed out even when I finish entering the legs to roll a 2 legged credit spread. I noticed on your video the "roll contract" turned blue once you added the legs to roll. I called IBKR end of August, and I was told IBKR desktop does not have the ability to roll credit spreads. Any suggestions?
The software should have all the info we need. The support phone team may not always have the most up to date info regarding the software programs. Best is to test them yourself.
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a question about Trailing Stop. I searched the whole web, I also wrote to the IBKR support team, but I didn't find any answer. When I sell a credit spread, how to set trailing stop eg 50%? The error "Can not use percentage as trailing amount unit for negative capable order" always comes up. Thanks in advance for your help,
Their system does not support the percentage based offset for that asset class. There is no way around it except calculating it yourself using another tool. Or using a different offset method that does work.
Hi, my positions tab in the ibkr desktop is showing the individual legs. it's not grouped by strategy so I'm not able to rollover or close it as one. i have to do it per each leg. what's weird though is that my ibkr desktop paper trading groups it by strategy, and am able to close or rollover the entire group. would you know why the ibkr desktop live is like that compared to the ibkr desktop paper trading?
Definitely report this to their support team. I am not able to provide support for specific items or new problems that come up, related to their applications.
Thx for your video to enlighten me how to fill this kind of order.
Any time!
Thanks for the video, it's been so helpful, it was so hard rollingover using the Trader workstation.

therefore, there is no knowledge for complex things, only answers to basic things 🙁
