Something I can't help but think is that the military might be a path forward for OP just like her kid's father. I remember that there's something called the GI Bill, which grants service members money for them or their families to attend college. Also, as OP is seventeen and will be raising her son with support from the kid's parents, she's got a year to think about what kind of military service she should she enlist. By the sounds of it, the baby's father, he's already heading towards being a mechanic for the army. Well, she could find an interest in practicing law, making her path becoming a JAG (judge advocate general) officer, who depending on the assigned role, will either be the prosecutor, defense attorney, investigator for either side, or the judge at higher ranks in a court case dealing with exclusively military law. She might also choose to go Air Force or Navy and become a mechanic for jet fighters. Either way, she's got military options that will be able to translate into civilian work once her service ends.
it sounds like the parents failed OP about the dangers of unprotected sex, and now she’s paying the price for it. i also blame the coworker for abusing his position of power, OP is a minor, he’s 18. i’m not saying she’s blameless, but it sounds like not enough blame is going towards the parents or the baby daddy. edit to add: i think the best course of action for her is to give the baby to a family that’ll allow her to write letters for her son, so he can maybe find her one day
Honestly I think that she may have gone for the adoption if her parents had given her more space to consider the consequences of all her options. By making adoption the only option they would support, they drove her away and now she's choosing the only option where she feels like she has any agency. I wish her the best and I don't want to judge her too harshly because she is just a kid and she is in a very difficult situation.
The guy’s parents saying it’s her parents job to help her with the baby? Absolutely not, she didn’t “accidentally get pregnant”, she had sex and that is one of the consequences of doing so. She sounds naïve, and while her parents are clearly pushy and unsupportive, they are 100% correct. It is not their job to help her with a baby she created carelessly. Just a bad situation all around.

Well the voice is much better although I think they need to add a 'breath break' or something to make it flow more naturally. Life is going to be hard no matter what you do. It only makes you feel better when you blame others for poor choices. The feeling doesn't last and leaves a nasty stain on your soul. It will always be the woman who gets pregnant, (famous last words?) and it will always be the boys life that is more necessary to protect. Women are more resiliant but it comes at the price of their naivity. She has put it out there, the answer will come. How, where and from whom is what makes the misery of life bearable. I wish her luck and support.
