Wet hair is what? 2 parts Hydrogen and 1 part Oxygen. What is Developer? Hydrogen! Then people wonder why their hair is Brittle! I’m white, with fine, curly hair, and I had to cut it off!!! I’ve been cutting my own hair for close to 45 years, and just playing with a Developer, screwed my hair up so bad, it fried my hair to brittle straight, and then cut it off, once I had enough new length! Lesson Learned!!!!
Cyn!! Why didn't you educate us on bringing a big bowl of popcorn to watch this video?!?!?! I came unprepared for all of this!!😅😂😂 Thank you again for this!!❤❤❤ Let this be a wake-up call for many.
Ive came to the conclusion years ago natural hair products are formulated poorly. Any time I’ve used them my hair was so dry and breaking. It wasn’t until I switched to professional brands that my hair improved. And let’s be clear every professional brand didn’t work for me, until I found the products that do. I’ve also realized that my hair loves silicones. Oils and butters aren’t moisturizing. Now I’m not saying I need silicone in my shampoo but I definitely need the in my conditioner and leave in conditioner. All the moisturizing and sealing I no longer have to do because my hair stays conditioned until I wash it again. No more dryness.
All mielle has to say when was the last time you washed your hair? 2 months ago! Do you go to bed with wet hair? Yes I added so much product to create a curl. Do you walk around with wet hair all day long? Yes I don’t believe in blow dryers, hair dryers ,or flat irons or a cosmetologist or trims..I just love the illusion of healthy hair, but I don’t know how to do my hair at all I’m playing in my hair looking at others curls and being a follower we have the same curls I’m using the same products,, Do you know your Porosity? What’s porosity! It’s the only way to know how to take care YOUR HAIR
Gezzus...you are so correct!!! I've been saying that my dag on hair was healthier when I was relaxing it, than when I went natural, that is actually when all my problems actually began. So glad I am in recovery now.
People constantly sampling all these products. It’s like walking thru a field of land mines. Eventually, serious damage will occur beyond repair. It’s dangerous and sad
People if our natural sebum oil gets too excessive that causes scalp irritation and hair loss from the oil blocking the hair follicle. So what do you think putting Mielle hair oil or any other oil on your scalp every day or every other will do? This is not rocket science. It is common sense. But unfortunately common sense is not so common. I have noticed since not putting oil on my scalp and letting the sebum do its thing my curl pattern shows more. Yes I have 4 type hair. But all curls are visible when properly hydrated. Listen to Cyn to restore your hair sins. That was a bar. But Cyn is the real deal. Oils should be used as a rinse out, not a leave in. I still do have the Mielle oil. Camille Rose as well. But stop leaving the oil on your scalp and applying it every/every other day. Gotta move differently.
I was waiting for this craze to come to an end! I hope this makes people rethink their approach to healthy hair habits. The cycle needs to eeeennnnddd!!
I use plan old almond oil from the health food store, but never on the scalp. They may sue, but experts like you are going to make it difficult to get anything. Most will be lucky to get thirty dollars.
I've been using Mielle for two years snd never had a problem. I never used the rosemary mint oil but rosemary is a powerful herb. I'm not going to downplay their experience but it does raise a few eyebrows. I don't oil my scalp excessively but I've seen folks do it. My scalp doesn't like excessive oils at all. Its possible there are other variables that could have caused those issues. I used rosemary oil once with a carrier oil and my scalp said NOPE so I never used it again.
Literally!!! As soon as I heard about this I was like it’s because of them drops that went viral a few months ago! Smh. If there’s anything I will take from you Cyn is that 90% of people do not need additional oil on the scalp, period!
I deleted my last comment because I realized there was nothing else to add. You literally said everything I was thinking. Keep fighting the good fight. Many will ignore and downplay what you say, but there are a few of us with "ears to hear" who are thankfull to unlearn all of these harmful practices. Thank for the being the real deal.
@@blazebrown9102 she basically tells us to keep oils off our scalps. Shampoo regularly. Don't air dry. Blow dry and sit under a dryer. Use hair rollers etc. Like basically set it and leave it alone until wash day. Comb/brush hair frequently. These are what I've taken from her videos and it works!
You are so animated and funny 😂❤but stay with facts and actual scientific research. I love how raw but caring you are. I delt with really bad perms and dealt with scalp infection then use to oil my scalp too much even after going natural stopped doing and my hair is prospering 👏🏿
I would say to stop. My daughter has been using nothing but these products for a long time, and her hair is breaking currently. I told her 3 months ago that it looks like your hair is balding on the side.
I never used Mielle. I recall a comment I made on this platform about a year ago about these products and techniques being the issue. It's not normal for us to have these scalp issues. That comment was meant with dismissal from a professional. I knew then that I was done with all of this. Never looked back. Also, thank you for sharing your knowledge despite the constant pushback.
Thank you so much for sharing, it means more than you know. I knew it would pass because everything moves in cycles in this industry or life in general. I’m just glad this cycle is coming to an end and people can see.❤️

Im thankful for you a d your videos. Girl you helped me save my hair because i had the symptoms of all these women are complaining of. I have hair weathering. You helped me reverse extreme shedding/hair loss and my hair is now more manageable
I’m glad how professional you’re going about this because you’re right a lot of black women such as myself are not following proper directions your cosmetologist and you have put on your platform many many times do not put oil on your scalp on a daily so
I had to stop the foolishness if I want to be able to see my hair prosper and just like I took the accountability. A lot of other women need to do the same.
Listen!! Cyn, thank you addressing this video! I’ve watched it yesterday, and I threw my hands up because bw can be some of pettiest people in the world! BW became upset over this hair oil, because a ww with straight hair made it go viral. Bw told that woman the oil was their hair and not ww’s hair! OMG! The oil was selling when it viral!
I feel your frustration. Before I knew you and all your logic, I made this herbal oil mix with essential oils added and gave some to my kids and I found out about oils on the scalp when my daughter finished the bottle and she was asking for more telling me because it made her hair longer and thicker. I’m still trying to explain to her that no product including my oil can make your hair grow and explained to her why and the possible reason it may have grown telling her about the bad and good bacteria. This child does not want to hear it, she’s determined to get more oil and set on that oil grew her hair so I just had to tell her I don’t have it nor make it anymore, go be hard headed and stubborn elsewhere.
I learn the hard way not to put oil in my scalp never used any meille products but I used kaleidoscope hair drops and had bald spots on my head and my hair was falling out in clumps. Also my scalp was itchy all the time. During my journey to regrow my hair I found your channel and haven’t oiled my scalp since and went back to the basics. I don’t listen to no team natural hair RUclipsr
You're not supposed to use essential oils by themselves, you have to mix it with a carrier oil..But then again, no oil goes on your scalp. So there's that!
The slight smirk and look over to the camera when you said "not little bill". I had to pause and just chuckle out loud! lol It makes my stomach churn how simple this is if we just LISTEN. Loss time, money and...hair. All because we won't listen. One thing is for certain Cyn, you gone make the math math and BACK it up with experience and science! Thank you for always being solid and keeping it all the way 💯 with us!
Just realize why my son’s hair grows immensely without oil or butters. He’s hair is longer than mine. Damn washes hair once a week he has the biggest hair. Shampoo and conditioner blow dry. That is it … I’m like wow Also when you think of good and bad bacteria think of my body having diarrhea which bad bacteria , you eat yogurt which is good bacteria and that stop the s diarrhea. You only use it once or twice . You hair is like the same fungus in hair will destroy your hair . You treat it and then you relax
I find that I wash my hair more as a natural. I don't know who these people are that's waiting 5 years(exaggerating lol) to wash their hair. It feels so freeing to me. Now Mielle organics was trash before being sold to P&G. We as black people do think if they see a black woman as the face, especially with long hair, they will sell their soul for it.
I came here from TikTok BW news lol Gworl, I’ve followed you for years and was soooo tempted to get Mielle scalp product bc of the hype EVEN tho I knew better. But I was thinking “what would cyn do/say” and never got it it lol we all have access to basic hair science. I don’t understand why people don’t do their research.
When I tell you I ran to watch this video lol You have been saying this for years!! Everyone is talking about the ingredients, but not how (or how not) to use them. Thank you for never letting up on these funky fungal minty smelling scalps! Applying oil daily, what could ever go wrong??!
I love your personality lol I remember when I first started watching I felt like you were yelling lol but I realized it was passion. Reminds me of myself, not on RUclips but IRL lol thank you for using your platform to educate. It ain’t easy going against the grain, but some of us are listening and learning ❤❤ I have completely changed my hair regiment it’s so much easier. I firgured out my porosity. Got me some nexxus shampoo conditioner leave in and I already had the Paul Mitchell skinny serum wash regularly and blow dry. I already see improvement.
I have had locs for 13 yrs. I do very little by natural girlie standards. I grew my hair out from a fade to past my hips. No hair loss, very healthy and thick. It's not as difficult as pole make it. You have to keep the hair clean, not put too much product in your hair. Also, every product is not formulated for your hair. We have to research things.
I just purchased a hair oil from a BLACK OWNED private hair line. I'm doing a test because I AM READING THE INGREDIENTS. Some of the ingredients are ingredients you would use in food (plants), the others are oils from nuts and seeds.
They don’t read directions that’s why! Listen I was washing my hair and I look up it’s time for school pick up I put a mask on my hair and went to pick up the kids. The mask was supposed to be 15 to 30 minutes on the hair I let it on my hair for a whole hour now what if my hair starts falling off would I blame the product.😂😂
I did read that too rosemary essential oil is potent and too much undiluted oil can damage the hair follicle and make your hair fall out. They needed to dilute the oil even more.
i used the green label for 2 years and my hair grow over eight inches. never used the redish one. i still use it and my hair keeps growing thicker when cut.
I have never used their products but, people need to research. Do not buy products simply because they are “black owned”. Take a look at the ingredients also. I do find it strange multiple people using their products have the same reaction.
Pure essential oils can be toxic and should never be used directly on the hair or scalp undiluted, maybe the drops are not properly diluted. Due to past chemical damage, many black women in particular have issues such as folliculitis, infection of the hair follicle, which can be aggravated by many chemicals and preservatives in mass produced products. When irritation and inflammation occurs the hair will fall. But product cancel culture is real. I've been a professional stylist for over 25 years and have watched companies come and go just as you said. Only a few brands have survived for the long haul. When it comes to your hair and scalp less is best.
Thanks so much for sharing. Black women do not have scalp infections like folliculitis because of chemicals. Black women have scalp infections because they won’t stop oiling the scalp. Oil n grease feed the scalps natural bacteria, yeast n parasite. ruclips.net/video/a3wUin_HzlA/видео.htmlsi=ZPh7sB192nyH0pMU Black women are their own worst enemy for sure. It’s all simple common since but team natural won.
I've been using her deep conditioner for a year are more with no problem, I don't put anything on my scalp no matter what the product direction says,I learned from my mistakes
Thanks for this video! I only ever liked one of her products - the Mielle Mint Babassu deep conditioner, but stopped using it years ago after the owner and her husband verbally attacked a RUclipsr for saying that one of their products didn't work for her. They literally attacked her on her channel, her email and actually called her to berate her. To me, that was unnecessary. All that being said, I kind of knew this would happen when folks were buying all of her products off of store shelves and raving about them online. People in the natural hair community are prone to jumping on bandwagons without much thought...
I was never a fan of the black hair care brands. I believe in professional products. There is no hochus pochus magic trick or product that will grow your hair. Mielle went were because people were buying into her Monique Rodriguez, )not the products. People loved the idea of a black woman entrepreneur. We need science backed products with real lab tests and results.
@IamCynDoll I remember seeing her on the Daytime Talk show "The Rea"l with her husband, and he was the COO of the company, and she has her 2 beautiful daughters. BLACK WOMEN brought into her image, and they're hurt because they feel like they built up this company, and she sold it to the white man. They feel betrayed 💔. A lot of women are using products wrong. The rosemaryline is a strengthening line. A lot of products that are strengthening can make your hair brittle if you use it over a long time period. A lot of these women are co washing their hair, using ACV rinses, and using Aloe Vera in their hair. Some are leaving the deep conditioner in overnight. Now they want to blame MIELLE
There is this woman on yt she is currently experiencing hair breakage from the no oils, no butters and curly cuts, Hair detox and wash n goes. Live and direct consequences now she shaved it all off. And she bald now and still want to do and use the same crap and routine. . I'm just using her as an example of repeating the same thing and expecting different results. Madness! She stubborn too lol I won't name names. Just watched her put conditioner on her bald scalp smh
Girrrrl!!! I’ve been screaming this SAME thing since 2009/2010 when the ‘Natural Hair Movement’ was really gearing up on YT and the internet as a whole. All the so-called product junkies, ‘Potion’ users (remember that castor oil concoction that went wild and ppl ended up with scalp boils and hair loss), greenhouse steaming or whatever, omelets on hair (DIY conditioners using eggs, avocados, yogurt, cayenne pepper, yeast infection ointment, etc.), co-washing and NOT shampooing, drying hair with t-shirts, not trimming hair and the anti-heat natural hair nazis? I could go on but I won’t. I grew my hair from ear length to arm pit length in a year when I used an oil (Gro-Aut oil that had rosemary and other essential oils) to clear up some serious scalp issues, which it did… my hair took off when my scalp was healthy along with generally good, simple and consistent hair care, including regular trims… but anytime someone on Hairlista asked me how I grew my hair (remember that website 😅) and I told them my simple regimen with minimal product…no one wanted to hear it and scoffed with their non-progress, product junkie, damaged, non-growing hair hating on me. Oh well, I tried to help but they wouldn’t listen just like you here @IamCynDoll These folks are still doing this mess in late 2024. Smh Oh, and I’ve been a subscriber for probably just as long 😊 Keep up the good work, beautiful. 👍🏽
Hi Jay here, Its sad n I guess that Hair Weathering is about Kicking In😮 Love Your Knowledge n by the way my ten hairs are multiplying n no more scalp issues for a few months now. Thank You 😊
I put down the natural hair products and became a “straight hair natural” washing my hair every 2-3 weeks and my hair is thriving I simplified my routine and only use shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, and a few drops of light weight oil on my hair for extra shine…my hair couldn’t be happier and my scalp is doing just fine now that it’s always nice and clean…
Thanks so much for watching. Keep it up. Try cutting out the oiling for shine and watch what your sebum does to your hair. You have natural sebum you do not need oil.
What’s funny is that most of the white women who use the oil on their scalp, do not use it everyday and only leave it on their scalp for a minimal amount of time then they wash it out with their shampoo. Smh . I believe you, oil shouldn’t be on the scalp everyday !
I,feel sorry about these people's, I'm glad I found your channel in time to change the old ways of the way taking care of my h air. I learned not put oils all in my scalp and put Surman mid shift hair, stop Being scared of heating tools im the the only one, in my cant tell them Nothing, I guess they have to see my hair, gets better from the bleach. Thank you even more for hearing me. These videos are forever and when I look back at 80 I want to be proud of myself. If I have to take a lil push back for a short time it’s ok. My purpose is so much bigger than them. Now the jokes on them without me lifting a finger, you can see for yourself. I do it for family like you.❤️ Thanks for watching I appreciate you.
Unfortunately, it took years of struggling before finding your channel. Honestly, the source of the oiling your scalp should be blamed and the companies who are putting those directions on the products. Oiling and greasing our scalps has been going on for generations. That’s all I knew until I found your channel and RUclips isn’t pushing certain creators to the front lines.
Always do a patch test on your arm before you use a new product. That’s not the fault of the product your bodies chemistry doesn’t match and that’s ok.❤️
I think the new product made by a black woman now is 12 Tribes Oil I have not tried it myself nor do I know of anyone who has. Would you say the same thing goes for products when you are relaxed or flat ironed. There are just so many products on both sides. Keep giving this important information🥰🥰I use to watch you years ago when you were doing hair.♥♥

I love your videos!! Your delivery be a little rough around the edges 😂 but I get it and learn sooo much.
Thanks for hearing me. As long as you wear socks when you watch my videos it won’t be that bad I promise.❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂❤️❤️

Cyn if black women learn to have balance in what we, use even our diets and nutrition is beneficial to us the world will be a better place.

Okay, but realistically the diets of one demographic on this planet wont change policy and history 😬 there's still wars, violence and famine sis lmao

Thank you again for this!!❤❤❤ Let this be a wake-up call for many.
😂😂😂Sorry boo I’ll tell you next time.❤️
Ive came to the conclusion years ago natural hair products are formulated poorly.
Yes! Team natural told everyone silicon was bad then replaced it with the loc method and the product hacks. Smh I’m so glad you see it!
‼️‼️‼️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Gezzus...you are so correct!!! I've been saying that my dag on hair was healthier when I was relaxing it, than when I went natural, that is actually when all my problems actually began. So glad I am in recovery now.
Love it!!
Yet relaxers cause cancer
A lot of the women complaining we’ve seen with our own two eyes leave deep conditioner on overnight they don’t even follow instructions
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
People constantly sampling all these products. It’s like walking thru a field of land mines. Eventually, serious damage will occur beyond repair. It’s dangerous and sad
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
I was waiting for this craze to come to an end! I hope this makes people rethink their approach to healthy hair habits. The cycle needs to eeeennnnddd!!
I use plan old almond oil from the health food store, but never on the scalp. They may sue, but experts like you are going to make it difficult to get anything. Most will be lucky to get thirty dollars.
Just like relaxers. The women who win got 30.00 checks. It’s very sad.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Great observation.
Literally!!! As soon as I heard about this I was like it’s because of them drops that went viral a few months ago! Smh. If there’s anything I will take from you Cyn is that 90% of people do not need additional oil on the scalp, period!
👏🏾👏🏾‼️
I deleted my last comment because I realized there was nothing else to add. You literally said everything I was thinking.
Keep fighting the good fight. Many will ignore and downplay what you say, but there are a few of us with "ears to hear" who are thankfull to unlearn all of these harmful practices. Thank for the being the real deal.

@@blazebrown9102her 7 day hair challenge
@@blazebrown9102 the one she offered with her course
My channel is full of facts you’ve seen one video. Thanks for watching!
I have used Mielle hair products with no problems at all!!
I would say to stop. My daughter has been using nothing but these products for a long time, and her hair is breaking currently. I told her 3 months ago that it looks like your hair is balding on the side.
Food and water 💧 would be, in my opinion, the best source for hair growth.

Thanks so much for hearing me.
You're not even supposed to leave oil on your scalp. If you're gonna do oiling , you put it in , but then you have to rinse it out!
I'm so glad you brought that up. The information is out there! 🙌🏿
I’m glad how professional you’re going about this because you’re right a lot of black women such as myself are not following proper directions your cosmetologist and you have put on your platform many many times do not put oil on your scalp on a daily so
Thank you for bringing attention to this, I’m glad you understand. ❤️ Thanks so much for your accountability.
I’m so glad you can see it.❤❤
When we use too much of anything it can add harm.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Exactly.‼️
When we know better we do better. Thanks so much for sharing!
You're not supposed to use essential oils by themselves, you have to mix it with a carrier oil..But then again, no oil goes on your scalp. So there's that!
❤️❤️❤️❤️Yes‼️ Make sure your in my live tonight.❤️
The slight smirk and look over to the camera when you said "not little bill". I had to pause and just chuckle out loud! lol It makes my stomach churn how simple this is if we just LISTEN. Just realize why my son’s hair grows immensely without oil or butters. He’s hair is longer than mine. Damn washes hair once a week he has the biggest hair. Shampoo and conditioner blow dry. That is it … I’m like wow
Also when you think of good and bad bacteria think of my body having diarrhea which bad bacteria , you eat yogurt which is good bacteria and that stop the s diarrhea. You only use it once or twice . You hair is like the same fungus in hair will destroy your hair . You treat it and then you relax
Yes, you got it. Keep it simple!
I immediately thought of you when I heard about this 😂 "everything works until it doesn't"
Im still going to use their leave-in conditioner and keep buying it. Following directions is so important.

Years of all those natural haircare experiments catching up imo
Everyone’s a chemist.🧑🔬
I have had locs for 13 yrs. I do very little by natural girlie standards. I grew my hair out from a fade to past my hips. No hair loss, very healthy and thick. It's not as difficult as pole make it. You have to keep the hair clean, not put too much product in your hair. Also, every product is not formulated for your hair. We have to research things.
Why am I here? Why am I on this planet? 😂😂😂you kill me w the commentary

😂😂😂I don’t was stressed so thanks for watching ‼️😂 Welcome to the family, let me know if you have any request.
I just purchased a hair oil from a BLACK OWNED private hair line. I'm doing a test because I AM READING THE INGREDIENTS. Some of the ingredients are ingredients you would use in food (plants), the others are oils from nuts and seeds.
You don’t need oil sis.
Exactly, thanks so much for this comment. Somebody reading this is walking around with conditioner on right now.❤️😂 WASH IT OUT GURL‼️
Everything works until it doesn’t.
Thanks for educating us about this @Iamcyndoll . I use Mielle oil sparingly, when I do use it, it’s before using shampoo.
Don’t change a thing. Keep up the great work unless you have a negative reaction.
OMG I use Miele Hawaiian Ginger on my hair as a leave in. Trashing it and all the oils I put on my scalp. Thank you sister
You are so welcome.❤️❤️
I have never used their products but, people need to research. Do not buy products simply because they are “black owned”. Take a look at the ingredients also. I do find it strange multiple people using their products have the same reaction.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Is there relaxer in it?
Why does the lady’s voice over in the video sound as if she’s reporting live from CNN?
😂
Smh, I didn’t know she had a channel. I hope they learn from this.
Say that‼️‼️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
@IamCynDoll I remember seeing her on the Daytime Talk show "The Rea"l with her husband, and he was the COO of the company, and she has her 2 beautiful daughters.
I couldn’t say it better‼️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
There is this woman on yt she is currently experiencing hair breakage from the no oils, no butters and curly cuts, Hair detox and wash n goes. Live and direct consequences now she shaved it all off. And she bald now and still want to do and use the same crap and routine. . I'm just using her as an example of repeating the same thing and expecting different results. Madness! She stubborn too lol I won't name names. Just watched her put conditioner on her bald scalp smh
It’s literally insanity at this point. I’m just so glad you all can see it now!

@@ImDirtyDanithis planet is ghetto as hell man.😂
@ImDirtyDani no lies lol was tempted to share her channel but don't like drama
Seems like ppl just don’t know when or how to use products which make them overuse things like the oil
People don’t read.
Oh well, I tried to help but they wouldn’t listen just like you here @IamCynDoll
These folks are still doing this mess in late 2024. Smh

you made a lot of good points
I put down the natural hair products and became a “straight hair natural” washing my hair every 2-3 weeks and my hair is thriving I simplified my routine and only use shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, and a few drops of light weight oil on my hair for extra shine…my hair couldn’t be happier and my scalp is doing just fine now that it’s always nice and clean…
Thanks so much for watching. Keep it up. Try cutting out the oiling for shine and watch what your sebum does to your hair. You have natural sebum you do not need oil.

Some people may be allergic to P& G products. I have family members that are and will have mild to severe reactions to the products
Always do a patch test on your arm before you use a new product. That’s not the fault of the product your bodies chemistry doesn’t match and that’s ok.❤️
What is with this obsession with hair growth oils and greasing the hair daily once a week after washing your hair is enough.
I think the new product made by a black woman now is 12 Tribes Oil I have not tried it myself nor do I know of anyone who has. Would you say the same thing goes for products when you are relaxed or flat ironed. There are just so many products on both sides.
