Nostalgic as hell. I got Pokemon Red and a GameBoy Pocket for Christmas in second grade, and it was mind-blowing (though most stuff is when you are eight years old). I tried to include the three voices as much as I could because there is some cool interplay. Let me know your favorite town themes, because I'd like to do more.

This song makes me miss a place that never really existed
It exists in our hearts, minds and most importantly in our memories.
Well said
This thread makes me cry in the best ways.
Right. All boys leave home someday. It said so on TV. Prof. Oak, next door, is looking for you.
The original song was probably written on a Midi keyboard, and the writer didn't think that it would be played on a Guitar.
You made it sound as though this song was originally composed for acoustic guitar. Well done!
Tunes of utter nostalgia calm the soul. 😊
心地よい…
思い出が蘇ります💗😢
The rhythm in the bass on the opening part of the theme is so clean - awesome work man!!
I received both Pokemon and Final Fantasy VIII on my birthday and I actually played Pokemon before Final Fantasy. That's how big Pokemon was at the time. It was also the last game I ever had for Game Boy... Aw, now you got me all nostalgic!
Great games. Funnily enough, I'm on at bachelor party trip and one of the guys brought a Gameboy Color. So crazy playing on the original hardware as an adult.
@@JohnOethGuitar Haha, true, the Game Boy Color was out at the time, but I still got to play Pokemon Blue on the old grey brick.
👏
Thank you so much for taking me back to my childhood, if only for a little bit
And the sound when you go to clinic to heal your pokemon.
The goat returns
I’m so excited to learn this one! Beautiful playing as always!!
This takes it back!
Qué guapo! Enhorabuena!
That's a great detail!
Yessss, been waiting for this after you played it live.
thanks for taking it back to such a nostalgic and wonderful gem
Love this, thank you
Awesome! Such great melody in this one!
This is a very lovely cover John
Amazing rendition as always! I love how this track sounds lovely on the classical guitar. This track brings back good memories and makes me happy and emotional. The nostalgia from the music hits so hard.
Littleroot Town Theme (RSE) and Floaroma Town Theme (DP)are my favorites. Thanks for the beautiful cover, John. :)
Ok the beautiful guitar playing and nostalgia made me a bit emotional 🥹
Amazing ❤
Nice tune. Gotta record 'em all!
Pokémon! Gotta catch 'em all!

子供の頃が蘇る
I love you John Oeth
It would be very great to listen some DK tropical freeze music from you :)
This was beautiful! Are you planning to do more of these? I'd love to hear your take on some of the songs from Gold/Silver, like the Azalea town theme or the National Park
Great work, anyhow! Thank you for sharing your music with the world ♪
I love both of those songs and I really need to do them. Take care!
好聽,
很單純快樂的音樂。
God you’re some player
On the theme of pokemon you should cover Driftveil City since it's become a meme now with the toothless dancing song.
bg3 twisted force guitar cover pls sir
haha I don't think I can do that justice
What exercises would you recommend to be able to play rhythm with your thumb and lead with the rest of your fingers?
