  • Mike Rowland & Son Wheelwrights and Coachbuilders was established in 1964.
    Since that time they have continually produced wheels and vehicles to the highest standards built completely in house. They are true to the highest standards of workmanship and in January 2005 had the honour of gaining the Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, in the position of Wheelwrights and Coachbuilders.

    They are dear friends to me and the first people to show me how to tyre a wooden wheel at their shop. Greg tirelessly answered my thousand questions.     Beautiful video. I'm a banker. I create nothing. I do help others reach their dreams but I don't get the same joy I get from making a simple wooden box. I'd love a trades type of job with a historic connection. Beautiful.

    Still using the 'Great Wheel' you made for me, on my reproduction C17th Joseph Moxon lathe and the kids queue up to turn it at shows. Keep up the good work lads.

    Shouldn't the tire be fire welded? I'd have thought a mig weld would be too weak to hold.

      Looked like an arc weld to me. I guess the weld them that way because it's quicker and easier
