I was born and raised in America. I am an RN. I have 4 other sisters who are nurses...my son is a nurse and my brother is a nurse anesthesiologist. Here in America we are paid very well especially in the northern states...the south do not pay well at all. I don't work in the hospital bc I don't like it. My sisters currently work in corrections and love it. 2 of my sisters work PRN (as needed) status and bring home close to $10,000 q2 weeks. I am full time and bring home about $11,000/month. I've worked in nursing homes as well and although it can be stressful....most of these jobs offer between $200-$500 extra on top of your regular pay for each shift that you pick up. I've never been to London so I can't compare. But places like California may have high cost of living but labor laws are different than other states but a nurse can make very good money and have a decent lifestyle.
Nurse $100,000 -150,000 🇺🇸 American doctors, and entire team members are down to earth . they work as a team with nurses, Nursing assistants 😊 Best friends and backbone of each in America 🇺🇸. What I saw is nurses in America are well trained and very knowledgeable leading to independence and confidence 👏 Also in America 🇺🇸 nurses are very respected 👌 and valued . Shifts are the same 12 days weeks =36. You can't mix days and nights Shifts because the body will be exhausted 😴 American every is electronic Medication are dispensed automatic per patient's name. EMAR the medication will automatically provide 👌 when it's due at that time 😊 Hope it's help. America is way developed
Wow u guys are so hardworking…. 1 nurse to 30 patients that sounds like overload About coordination d charge nurses definitely need to do better here and I love that there is more independence in d U.S n also I guess more nurses r still needed … great video dear n ur cohost did great too
Which states 🇺🇸 🤔 always 30-40 nurse ratio in nursing home I have worked in both countries as a travel nurse in USA it's much easier with a lot of nursing assistants to help. Nurse in USA are well trained and independent 👏 The hospitals in America are clean , modern, and up-to-date in technologies 😊
In the UK, healthcare assistants do vital signs and BM checks. Nursing Associates can do drug rounds except injections and IV therapy. Sounds like Nursing in the US is more complicated and more accountable. Your guest was really honest and polite. Loved his honesty. It's never all good in one country. This is one of the best video out there which gives you a clear picture of nursing in both countries.
the clap for the NHS, was initiated by the government during 2020 ONLY. What you saw was/is NOT the norm in the UK. So you can imagine that all this time (execpt for 2020) Nurses in UK, arent really acknowledged like that.
Yeah, the clap for NHS was given by government to "encourage" us thru the pandemic😂😂😂 but as ur hubby said, it is true: we were demanding a pay rise instead of claps being given to us. Looool!
Hello guys, thanks for this video as always it's enlightening. How did you send your Cgfns request for license verification form to NMCN, was it through e - mail or post? Cheers.
Thanks for doing this, we have registered nurse associate now in the UK that I believe are similar to lpn. Could I ask if you got more training during induction to practice assessment with stethoscope in the US before you started fully? What are the trainings you got during your induction or did you have preceptorship period?
@@Jenilymicha I am just learning about Rhode Ireland. I love your vids and always on point. I will be a UK RN soon but my passion is to work in USA in Anaesthesia department.
Any word of encouragement to me I feel so let down. I did my interview with a certain agency but I was left. I feel so bad it mad eme feel like a failure😭
Hi Cynthia! I totally understand how you feel. I always believe there’s a reason for everything. Don’t be discouraged by what happened, learn from them and start again. Relax you got this!! More will come, even better ones. Keep pushing, use another agency if need be. It will end in celebration. Cheer up sis❤️
The cost of living depends on where you live. In the south everything is cheaper compared to the northern states but the south doesn't pay well at all. It also depend on what you do for a living.

How is the cost of living in Rhode Ireland compared to California?
California is an expensive and “boujee” state so the cost of living is wayyyyyy higher

UK care assistants do vital observations and blood sugar levels
Not everywhere in the uk. The organisations I worked in the UK, Care assistants were not allowed to do that -only give care.
I have enjoyed this video. Please kindly do a video on low cost of living states in America 🇺🇸.
Sure! Will do that and thanks for watching 🥰🥰
