Thurston making Anna Wintour cringe by calling her office an alley & telling her about sammich mayo in Kim Deal's hair is still as hilarious as it was back then
Hi Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes. I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?
I remember it was kind of hipster/funny to rip on meditation and yoga people during this time. Like in the opening? And there was "Feel This Book". Oddly, most of that stuff has now triumphed on RUclips. Just an observation of the times.
Everyone is focused on stupid outrage online. I see people getting more upset over the content of tv shows made 30 years ago than getting upset about the patriarchy, abortion rights and sexual assault. It is ridiculous. We should be out in the streets and bands should be protesting.
@wildmarjoramdieselpunk6396 I Love it, too! As an 80s baby, I was a young girl taking in Gen X culture such as this, and thinking they were the coolest 😎 people to ever Live. I still believe that! Millennial culture changed everything and not exactly for the better.
the way the martin scorsese interview is edited is so ahead of the curve
I’d say that’s just basic 1990s MTV-style editing, though.
They had less…they just did more with it!

Ha, brings back memories of being a Sonic Youth fan and wondering why the hell Thurston Moore was interviewing Anna Wintour.
NYC hipsters butting up against high fashion. Not so weird as you think.
I remember my boyfriend at the time bought me an X-Girl shirt for Xmas that year; it was like gifting me with the Holy Grail, lol.

ahhhh these are so good, I wanna remake this show
I have a bass similar to Sofia’s if not the same one. Video is a bit blurry.
The opening scene of this episode is some of the funniest s*** I've seen in a while! 😂
She is so cute playing the bass guitar
Loved this show when I was 13 and hoping that when i got to high school, there would girls as cool as Zoe and Sofia. It was not to be.
hahahhaha the openning is goldddd

What is it that they call the band in 19:20 ?
I wish Riot Grrl would come back. I feel like feminism has gone backwards in a lot of respects.

What fun!
That guy in Thurston’s Alley singing reminds me of Bobby Conn. I am sure it isn’t though.
yo that fuckin intro was badass
8:50 - Chloë Sevigny "The Coolest girl in the world" =p
mans got decapitated by the hot rod
18:33
This show reminds me of the one Winona Ryder makes in Reality Bites, minus the cringe Winona felt about it all
Gen X hipster nonsense…but I love it!

It's so weird how Sofia is bursting with charisma on this but was so stiff and flat when acting in GF3
