It is dense, it is rough, but what’s brilliant is that it’s a story about a family, and everyone-fathers, mothers, and children-from their own perspective, can deeply feel the message of this remarkable movie.

Rotten Tomatoes critics 95% and people saying I'm still here is not a great movie.... seriouly? It's a masterpiece and a well deserved nomination!!! More people will see and Fernanda's job will take off!!!
The book was written by Eunice Paiva's son at a time when she was in an advanced stage of Alzheimer's, coincidentally, it was a time after the end of the dictatorship and the Brazilian people were also forgetting what the dictatorship was. So Marcelo Rubens Paiva (the son) saw that he needed to preserve the memory of his mother and the country for all that happened. Walter Salles (the director who lived among the Paiva family) also realized that it was time to remind Brazil and the world of the dangers of the extreme right. It's a great book due to its sensitivity, realism and especially timing, and the film is so successful for the same reasons.

This film got many prizes from audiences at everywhere it showed but infortunatelly, not much reflected in prizes. Just now, after golden globes, is getting more attention from world media. But variety has always bet on it. The campaign is soft and reliable, discreet like the main character, and just now People can watch it. Go to the movies! Stop authoritarism in The world!
