I hate mine! I went from an oreck to one of these. They swoooore it was most comparable, HATE IT!! The brush wrapped hair around it none stop! My oreck never did that! I cleaned it out today, it was compacted with the norm, hair, carpet fibers, dust. Now it’s hard to push! The brushes are spinning great. It’s picking up well but I wish I still had my oreck!
So get another Oreck. BTW, hair wrap is much less with the Supralite when considering very long hair. You also need to clean the brushroll after every use, no exceptions
I’d be less concerned about the riccar and more concerned with your balding. Perhaps the oreck wasn’t picking up everything…now you truly see how much hair you are losing
I have 4 of these (2 are the later R10 versions), they are probably the best performing lightweight uprights I've ever used, and they're actually pretty durable. Add into the fact that they're still in production today (albeit for a pretty high price tag), these are probably the last lightweight uprights in terms of performance.
Nice salvage job! I have a Riccar R10S.2 from 2018, which I trash picked in 2020. I made a 5 part video series of it called “salvaging a Riccar R10S.2 in pieces.” But being that I had just bought a new Dyson GEN 5 detect, I won’t be needing my Riccar anymore, especially since it scatters on hard floors, and it does not have a pick up hose.
Doesn’t compare to my Oreck XL I would have been better off parting my oreck back together. It lasted close to 16 years before it was damaged when we moved. Otherwise it was still perfect !
Speaking of a broken belt. I'm digging that belt your wearing on your pants. Is that a Hanks belt? Thinking about buying one. Love the laugh, digging into this dirty vacuum.
All you did, I’ve learned and have done. BUT, my vac got up an unseen screw! It screeched to a stop before I could shut off. Need to know how to get bottom off n check.

I cleaned out mine and replaced the belt and now mine is hard to push, too. I might try calling them tomorrow to see what they suggest

You are very brave to be doing that “poof” thing without a mask. I’d be sick for days 😳
I'm outside where the dust dissipates quickly.
I second that, despite the fact that he was outside.

Looking forward to the testing. I've been curious to how these compare to the Orecks.

Awesome! I have always liked these little machines. They seem to be more durable than Orecks.

Oh yes it's going to work like new!
It's going on the airflow box today. 😁
@@VacLab I can't wait 😎
@@VacLab the riccar super light takes R 10 belt
@@friday1218 well the observation was really what other belts might fit. Turns out the Oreck belt fits OK so far.
@@VacLab yeah, I know but if you’re curious what type of belt that takes it’s an R10

maximum poof, always my favorite.
Looks like just a Riccar-branded Oreck XL?
Nope. It's not an Oreck at all.
Does your church still have this vaccum today ?
Yes. I used it today, in fact.
@@VacLab that’s nice those are excellent machines , in fact my church has the r10e basically the same thing but non Commercial.
