I’m a Daiwa guy and I have been since I bought my first reels a long time ago . I don’t mind spending money on quality gear it’s more of an investment for me than anything. I own Daiwa reels that are over 30 years old and they still work perfectly to this day. I have used this reel thats in your video though and for the price it’s actually really solid. To answer your question on the sizing of the reels here is what I think. Most saltwater reels start around the 4000 size but obviously there are companies that make them smaller. If you want a really solid little 2500 size reel look no further than the Daiwa BG, that thing has been a workhorse for me, I’ve put it through the paces ten times over and it’s still running flawlessly. I got mine on sale for around 100 bucks.
yeah, with braid there is no need to have bigger spools, they should make 1000, 2000, 2500 for salt as well by default. watch the other video i released today, you will know why it was hell... haha thats the video i told you about.
Piscifun makes some good products. I have my fair share of reels from Penn, Daiwa, Shimano and Piscifun, but I've honestly caught more on my Piscifuns (primarily an Alijos 300 and 400) than anything else.
Aliex, I have approx 12 rods. Only two are baitcasters. All of my spinning reels are 2,000 to 3,000. I usually go out with 4 to 5 rods. I liked this review. You should do more of them. Because you tell us the way it is. 😎 💯 🎣
The NautiX 6000 is about the same price as a Penn Pursuit III 5000 or 8000 (6000 not available). What do you think is the better deal, the Pursuit III or the Nautix?
I usually buy Shimano because I’m hard on my reels and they don’t break When I say I’m hard an them I don’t abuse them I do oil and grease them after every trip But I get my moneys worth out of them I don’t use penn because the drags on them burn up after about a year of use for me
@@snakeheadslayer11 yup the Sahara is epic! But not waterproof I have been searching for a waterproof reel and I didn't know this one was until it fell in, hahaha it has fallen in saltwater more than 5 times by now still smooth!!!
