1965: Shelby GT350 is introduced. Ford hires Shelby-American to oversee GT40 program. Hertz begins buying GT350H versions for its "rent-a-racer" program
1966: Ford GT40 Mark II wins Le Mans. First 1967 Shelby GT500s delivered
1967: Ford and Shelby-American win Le Mans, again. 1968 Shelby Mustang convertibles debut
1968: 1969 model year production begins

1970: Ford and Shelby end their long-term racing agreement
Iacocca asked Shelby to be the Dodge "performance consultant". This lead to the design of a series of sporty, high-performance, front-wheel drive cars for Chrysler Dodge between 1983 and 1989. Many say the most notable being the Dodge Viper.

Greatest man in racing to have ever lived. He is why know other car factory can't beat Ford's muscle. Many have tried and many like Dodge still keeps trying. Shelby Mustangs are becoming more exotic now on power.
I don't care if you are a JDM fan and hate Muscle cars. Carroll Shelby is the man to pay respects to. Rest Easy Carroll you will be missed sir.

In ALL sports cars mate, all so called super cars of today they are just speed machines designed in the wind tunnel they all look somewhat similar soulless no character, but just like British sports cars they look Real build by humans for the love of cars
I have learned that there are some lessor known Mustang Shelby Mustang cars sold without the Shelby name attached, these were the early version of the S197 platform. One such version had only 250 total production.

As a 10yr old little boy I wanted to own a Shelby someday.Well now I am 48 and I ended up with 4 shelbys dreams do and can come true.
