I think shadow generations will break me, and i’m all here for it.

Rouge has talked through to him a few times in the comics, but it is hard to get through to someone who is so emotionally damaged. They’re too busy trying to conceal it. Poor Shadow.
One thing I've noticed is that, Shadow basically didn't fulfill Rouge's condition on being on Sonic's birthday. However, the conclusion of the Time Eater incident made it so he basically ended up fulfilling that.
I mean one of the trailers showed the Time Eater abducting Shadow on the Ark so I say he missed the birthday because he was busy being trapped in White Space already.

Don't get it wrong, but this is a sad scene, a very very dark and sad scene. Shadow is having revelations about his fate, which is to "die" from having succeeded in his "quest" to heal Maria for good.
When Shadow says there's a threat on the Ark and he MUST eliminate it, I felt it in my soul. The Ark is Maria final resting place. It's a sacred place to Shadow, the place he was born, had a family, and was loved. I actually think with the time travel shenanigans, hopefully he'll be able to save Maria... but also I wonder at what cost will we pay if he does successfully save her.

He's always been the darker one, after all- he's not a softie like some would want him to be. Setting aside other characters, in terms of pure characterization I think Prime Shadow is one of the better Shadows we've gotten.

I took the emotional damage too and the ending with Shadow having flashbacks. It's cause Maria was a really good friend, the type to be gentle and loving and looking out for Shadow. She always helped him in stressful situations.

As a RWBY fan, I recognized Casey’s voice in the song at the end almost instantly. They couldn’t have picked a better voice and I can’t wait for the song to drop so I can listen to it again and again.
My RWBY phase came in clutch because I knew that voice from somewhere. I would love for Casey to work more on sonic songs in the future as she can bring somber emotional songs as well with hyper and energetic fight songs.

First of all, this is absolutely perfect. This has to become a series. I've watched it so many times and cried. And secondly, Fadel pulls the same faces as Shadow in the flashback sequence
Something a lot of people are missing is that the visions Shadow had of himself and Maria weren't flashbacks, they were what could've happened if Maria hadn't died. In the visions, they're on Earth in a flower field, somewhere they never got to go together. Something, either the Time Eater, Black Doom, or both, was trying to tempt Shadow with the possibility of changing fate.

The thing is those werent even flashbacks. It was almost a daydream. In the first episode i believe we see a field with similar flowers. Its almost like his memories were suddenly mixed with a dream of what could have been.

With Generations being time paradoxes. Hope Shadow gets some closure with Maria, it looks to be building towards that. That scene was heartbreaking to see.

So, this prologue had reached its endpoint with Shadow taking off to the Ark. Seeing Omega kicking ass was something but cut short when he interfered. I like how Shadow claims that the G.U.N is not his concern even after Rouge recalled that they were responsible for what happened 50 years ago and his incarceration in Prison Island and to prove it, he saved the pilot that were targeting them, against Omega’s wishes. It was very surprising to see Commander Tower here, although we should’ve known since he made his appearance in the previous episode as a boy in that flashback. Once again, they’re connecting to the storyline of this upcoming game with Rouge revealing the intel she had on the Time Eater. With the Commander letting him go, it demonstrates that he truly forgive him since Shadow saved them from Black Doom and was more than willing to aid him in his mission if he let him. However, like she said, there was only one person in the entire planet, if not, the universe who can temper his ambition and persistence. Despite that, everything that Shadow has done since then, it was all for Maria Robotnik and only her. As long as he remembers her, no one and nothing can stop him from doing so and that original song near the conclusion was a real tear-jerker moment that even he got lost in thought for a second. Now, I shall prepare myself for the upcoming days when this take of Sonic Generations becomes available. Later.
My God man, this shit hit hard. They cooked hard with this series on all aspects: animation, story, presentation, voice work. They truly put their souls into this man it shows, best Sonic promo animation period.

Something a lot of people are missing is that the visions Shadow had of himself and Maria weren't flashbacks, they were what could've happened if Maria hadn't died. In the visions, they're on Earth in a flower field, somewhere they never got to go together. Something, either the Time Eater, Black Doom, or both, was trying to tempt Shadow with the possibility of changing fate.

The song Without You at the end is sung by Casey Lee Williams, who is the vocalist for the music of the RWBY series, been singing for the show since she was 13 alongside her dad.
So, this prologue had reached its endpoint with Shadow taking off to the Ark. Seeing Omega kicking ass was something but cut short when he interfered. I like how Shadow claims that the G.U.N is not his concern even after Rouge recalled that they were responsible for what happened 50 years ago and his incarceration in Prison Island and to prove it, he saved the pilot that were targeting them, against Omega’s wishes. It was very surprising to see Commander Tower here, although we should’ve known since he made his appearance in the previous episode as a boy in that flashback. Once again, they’re connecting to the storyline of this upcoming game with Rouge revealing the intel she had on the Time Eater. With the Commander letting him go, it demonstrates that he truly forgive him since Shadow saved them from Black Doom and was more than willing to aid him in his mission if he let him. However, like she said, there was only one person in the entire planet, if not, the universe who can temper his ambition and persistence. Despite that, everything that Shadow has done since then, it was all for Maria Robotnik and only her. As long as he remembers her, no one and nothing can stop him from doing so and that original song near the conclusion was a real tear-jerker moment that even he got lost in thought for a second. Now, I shall prepare myself for the upcoming days when this take of Sonic Generations becomes available. Later.
