    🔎 About socials:
    If I tag socials, then this should be done for ALL players (without a single exception), and not just for one person. Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). I am convinced that it's extremely dishonest to tag contacts of few people and not to tag all the rest, so there will be no social links in description.
    But I respect the players whose matches I post. Therefore, if you are sure that videos presented "as is" are not acceptable, I will stop posting content with your participation and remove the ones posted earlier.
    If you want to tag socials by yourself, feel free to post usernames in comment section (RUclips may remove links).

    Leo is a character who paradoxically has trouble approaching, but also has to approach to enter his win condition. This combination makes this matchup extremely challenging. Good play by Gobou.

    • @atomicwheeze8756
      @atomicwheeze8756 8 месяцев назад +7

      @@M-Trigger Well Leo has pretty limited full-screen ‘get in’ tools. Asuka, as a primary zoner, shuts down any of his attempts if Leo’s timing is off. If Leo is mid screen this isn’t so much of a problem but burst instantly invalidates this by sending Leo or Asuka full screen

      Tried Leo myself once, but I ended up dropping him, not because he being difficult to learn, I go with Asuka just fine, mostly because his buttons, neutral and combo structure (When not in back stance) are kinda weird and different from the rest of the characters, or at least the ones I play, so i didn´t felt very comfortable playing with him, but that's just me tho.

    • @memedealer7001
      @memedealer7001 8 месяцев назад +3

      tl;dr Different overall neutral (Most moves are committal and there is a big emphasis on a dash that is way better at closing small gaps as opposed to big ones), absolutely despises dps because you need very specific inputs to OS the right moves, and loops the same scenario that deals barely 100 dmg outside the corner.
      Not that he's bad or anything, but that you need to try and work around these issues that most characters don't really have.

      I don't have social media, so I'm not able to see the tweet, but I'm also not surprised. After Gobou won Red Bull Kumite and went to Daru's hotel room to play GGST casuals with Razzo, Skyll, Hotashi and Tempest: short disclaimer, is that I am in no way trying to be disrespectful. I respect Tempest's skill as a player and recognize them as one of NA's best. Forward, when Tempest played Gobou and used May, I cannot recall one round/set they lost where they did not complain about either how hard Gobou was making it for them to kill Eddie, get in on their Zato, or just how difficult it was fighting them (Gobou) in general (what May player complains about fighting Zato?). With the manner of how openly they were complaining, one would probably assume that they thought Gobou did not understand any English - which was not the case, because Gobou turned it up a notch and made it even harder for Tempest to kill Eddie as May, and if you watched the stream, you could tell by Gobou's expression that he was listening to what Tempest was saying.
      Again, I am not trying to disrespect Tempest in any way, but out of everyone that played Gobou within that 2-day period, no player showed the same level of impertinence that Tempest did while fighting Gobou; and if you saw the stream, you could tell that after some time, he was making Gobou very uncomfortable - and that's just not okay to do to someone you're playing - at least not in my opinion. Nobody should ever feel uncomfortable for being too good at a fighting game.
      And while I do believe that Zato was top tier by the end of season 2, I wouldn't put it as top 5, like I do Asuka. So Tempest complaining about Asuka after fighting Gobou is no surprise, given they did the same thing with their Zato after RBK, and given how strong Asuka is as a whole.
      The interesting thing about this whole situation, is the fact that Gobou complained about how bad Tempest's connection was, knew that they were playing with hotel wi-fi, mentioned how bad their hands were with Asuka and was getting frustrated by it (starting with no attack spells, bad RNG, ect), and Gobou still played quite a few sets with Tempest as a courtesy - and put off eating their 2nd meal to play them. Typically, a laggy player on wi-fi will result in an immediate no-rematch/and or that same player being blocked. I commend Gobou for playing through it, given the circumstances, and not complaining on social media about it.

      @waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301 8 месяцев назад +1

      I agree with Skinnyboi8937. Tempest was not blocking hardly any cubes, period. I know Gobou shoots them out faster than any other Asuka player, but Tempest had played long sets with other top NA Asuka players, so they should know when to either break or block the cubes - I will give them a pass on the green cubes, because sometimes it will look like you are "clear", but you end up getting hit anyway, because the hitbox on the cubes is too big, IMO. To me, it looked like every time they got hit by a lot of cubes, they either got frustrated, or gave up. I know if the connection is laggy it can be hard to block things you normally would, and if that's the case, then Tempest put that on themselves for playing on laggy hotel wi-fi. But yeah, no offense to these players, but I haven't seen someone get hit by this many cubes since when I watched the Asuka Matsuri, and the Asuka players were new and below level 200.
