I love the home; I understand the design ethic, BUT!
OMG, all of this detail and beauty and a heat pump unit has been pasted to a beautiful wall as they do in suburban Auckland!??
    What?
This one single detail (missed) is unforgivable.
The ceilings have a step out from the wall which means this unit could have been uncased and sandwiched into the airspace between the roof and ceiling with the setback being used as the point of exit for the conditioned air and it would not be seen.

At 0:32? I thought it was odd as well; so much attention to detail and then this faux-pas.

I don’t mind seeing the unit, I don’t think it is “unforgivable” lol. I would place it in the best place for efficiency and ease of service. If your hidden spot works for these goals, that’s fine too, even better.

Beautiful house. I just watched the program with all your journey.
      Amazing 🎉
What is the name of the German windows you had decided to ship to NZ ? Thanks a lot
