With today’s entry in how to kill, we’ve complete the holy trinity of horror movie slasher villains, with maybe the most iconic scary killer of all: Michael Myers. The Shape, The Boogeyman, Evil on Two Legs, whatever you want to call him, Michael Myers kicked off the slasher revolution with his debut in the famous film by John Carpenter, Halloween. The Halloween movie codified the slasher genre in 1978, and since then Halloween Michael Myers has emerged to wreak havoc in countless sequels: Halloween II, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H:20 and Halloween Resurrection. That’s not even counting the Rob Zombie Halloween remake, or his own version of Halloween II. Michael Meyers Halloween rampages are legendary for their scary brutality, but they’ve also showcased the many deaths of Michael Myers, so we put together a guide on How to Kill Michael Myers.
In Halloween, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode gives Michael Myers a thrashing, but as we’ve learned from scary movies it’s hard to keep a good boogeyman down, even with a big assist from Dr. Loomis. You gotta remember a lot of these old school horror films made their characters based off of supernatural entities. were as today they try to make the character more realistic and have more of a realistic, logical reason to why they're killing (i.e. elm street remake, Halloween remake, etc.) Also if you pay attention closely to Halloween 4, 5 and Part 6 The Producers Cut you'll notice it was a very nice story, explaining exactly who and what Michael was. They didn't continue the idea because Donald had passed away.

I just watched the Rob version, and I watched the Halloween 2 and ny ending was different from this one, the ending that I watched was that Dr. Loomis and Michael Myers wrestle making both of them crash out on the feild then Myers killed Loomis in front of the firing squad and they just shot Myers to death and his sister came out as well and got shot.

Brian C Because it's not REALLY a Halloween film. I hate people saying because the title doesn't explicitly mention Myers then that's somehow an excuse to change up the plot of a franchise and forget the main antagonist altogether.
Even though it isn't a Myers movie, it's still a Halloween film, mainly because John Carpenter originally wanted the Halloween movies to be an anthology series. Each would be a new horror story that took place on Halloween. He didn't account for Michael Myers to be soo popular that producers wouldn't let him include him in the first sequel. He tried killing him off in the second one, but that still wasn't enough. Fans were disappointed by the third one--only because it didn't contain Michael--so the producers never let them make another Halloween movie without him.
