- With the looks, performance and bulletproof reliability of one of the most renown motorcycling brands in the world, why aren't more people talking about the Suzuki GSX-8S? It's their first brand new bike in some time, but its reception in Malaysia has been rather lukewarm.
UPDATE: I’ve been informed by a Suzuki Malaysia rep that the 8S does indeed have an autoblip function when using the quick shifter on downshifts. And that “shifting with QS needs to be sure-footed and firm.“
I Agree! A belly pan and a tail tidy is all it takes... then you got a super-handsome bike
Tested the autoblip and it works
i find your reviews too good but i am surprised that you only have few videos. i hope you review other middleweight nakeds like mt 09, cb650r, trident 660, z900. sub from ph.
Thanks for the kind words. Two main reasons for the lack of content:
1. We do this as a side gig, we both have full time jobs so we don’t have a whole lot of time.
2. Small channels with small followings have a hard time getting access to bikes for shoots.
But we’re working on it. Hopefully it can grow to a point where we can get access to more bikes and get more vids out.
You ride the bike not the specs. Compared to Duke 790, GSX-8s has low vibration even though both has twin balancer. Yes, Duke 790 has 100ish horseperse and GSX-8s has 83hp but nobody will cruise above 180km/h constantly on naked bike. So far, the only complain I had with this bike is aftermarket accessories is non-existent in Malaysia, had to import everything outside.
With a little over 900mi. on my 8S so far my experience pretty much matches your 1 hour test ride. Fortunately the QS does get smoother with more miles. Also similar to you I surprisingly found the different color options (23 & 24 colors) equally attractive but ended up with the white 23 version.
can you review the hyosung/naza blade gt250r? been having my eyes on it for a while but im hesitant and there aren't enough food reviews online
Is that an old bike?
@@motomento ye, like 2010s old. and those go for more or less 5k in the 2nd hand market. just on the fence if i should get one as my 2nd bike or not
If I get the chance, sure. But old bikes are tricky, can’t just turn up at a showroom to take a test ride.
Can i ask what is your camera setup ? Quality of video seems supreme.
Thanks! B Roll is shot with a Fujifilm X-T20. Onboard camera is a GoPro Hero 10.
Did you use ND8 for those onboards ? @@motomento
ND32 for daytime rides.
Because small tank. Bentuk tank biar besar baru cantik
Why would you think that nobody cares? Did you talk to every single biker in the world?
It's an extremely boring bike. I really don't understand why they released the bike and how they're positioning this in the market. The 4 cylinders GSX-S750 is much more fun. Another competition is the CBR650R, which is again 4 cylinders. Both are cheaper than this crap. It doesn't even compete with other twin cylinders like MT-07 and Duke 790 which are much more fun. This bike has nothing going for it. There's no point to it.
Such a crap take. This bike actually has low and midrange torque unlike either of the other 4 you mentioned. No reviewer likes any of those bikes more than the 8s. Your comment is clearly bait and it got me.
@@ptiscool3334 The fuck are you on about? The CBR-650R, MT-07 and Duke 790 are very popular and highly rated bikes. The GSX-S750 is easily Suzuki's most sold mid range bike. The fact that the GSX-8S hasn't sold much and you don't see it much on the road tells a lot
@@ptiscool3334 Also: any moron's argument when people don't agree with their opinion: "comment is clearly bait" LMAO
Haha I took it for a test ride and bought one. I think it’s great fun. Your test ride may have been in a boring environment to have such a strong opinion.
@@florme6494 Its competitors are also great fun, also better value. It barely even competes with its own sibling, the GSX-S750
