If my memory doesn't fail me, aren't Master Roshi and Yajirobe actually OP? the game gives you a character that eats a senzu bean and restores health, the other IIRC can sleep and heals himself.

@@TheDragonking1999 If I remember correctly there's a raditz story mission where you play as great ape raditz and all you gotta do is run into the buildings and get a dragon ball from there too if he replays those missions the dragon balls are all his
Do you mean every Mountain like in EVERY one of them? Like alls 7 at once? Or do you mean everytime you Battle on the Mountain Map you get a Dragonball? Because I remember that only 1 Dragonball per fight can drop.
Hey doto, here's a small tip that might help (probably not but who knows). Remember that hidden energy skill Gohan had in the Saiyan saga? That skill makes it harder to lock on to you if the enemy needs to sense you and you're not in their line of sight and they don't have a scouter on (all scouters can be knocked off). So hide behind a rock and use it, the enemy will lock off and need to look for you for a while
this is good a good tip, sadly against some android type characters this doesn't work because the can lock on to you, EVEN if they cant see you which is kinda BS. Even more sadly, is that metal cooler counts for this too.
This is why Cooler is such a threat. Whenever he appears, it's either so fast that it's an off-screen instant kill or the most grueling hours of your life.
The actual first time I've ever seen Doto rage quit in a game. Yeah ngl BT2 was evil for giving Doto Yajirobi and Roshi to use against a level 192 Metal Cooler, is crazy. I honestly don't blame Doto for rage quitting, but good thing is he will be back to beat that mission. 💯
Thankfully he got easier as they made more games. Budokai 3 and tenkaichi 1 kid buu were actual nightmares. Especially the tenkaichi 1 fight with vegeta against kid huu
Couple of things from wasting my youth trying to unlock everything in the game. 1)There’s a single DragonBall in each stage you just have to destroy everything (trees, houses, or rocks under water.) Their spawn location is always different if you find one and lose the mission, like you do against cooler, it’s most likely somewhere else. Once they appear they ping orange on the radar bottom right. 8:40 Very important because they have physics so they can and will move around map. Secret “feature” is that the enemy can pick them up as well and you don’t get it even if you win the mission. 2)You can lock off from enemy by hitting select button on controller 3)You can buy the z evolution equip for a fight then unequip when you replay mission. So you can use later. 4)When the match begins before the fight appears on your screen your movement speed ranked is 1.backwards 2.sideways 3.up to the air 4.forward. Good luck and hope these tips help DBZBT1-3 are a bit of blur so hopefully memory serves me correctly.
Fun fact: Before every major, arc-ending boss fight, Yajirobe is somewhere on the map as a character you can find and use for the fight. I beat every major boss all the way through Omega Shenron with him back in the day. The sleeper king.
This was THE mission when I was a kid. I can remember playing on my crtv in the guest room on the world’s most beat couch. This was my first introduction to Cooler and he’s been forever my favorite character in the series, don’t know why with how much he beat me up! My skull must have still been soft
21:30 I don't know about BT2, but in BT3 there is a Fly ability that can be equipped to characters. I remember putting it on Yajirobe in that game. That might be an option here, although I can't guarantee it since my experience is with the next game.
Doto if you end up getting all 7 dragon balls, make sure you go to a planet namek level where you can fly around the world. If you do it on earth you’ll just get one wish.
Can we talk about that beautiful thumbnail? The little Toriyama reference on the side of the tv. The red Super Saiyan eyes! Subtle, but breathtaking. Thank you Doto!!
i'm not sure if you'll read this doto, but you can block rush attacks and better block against ki supers. When you block (hold block(O/B)), press and hold the ki blast button (triangle/Y), you'll notice your character moving to a different pose while blocking, this blocks rush supers effectively and makes you take less damage from ki supers, this includes both normal supers and ultimates.
@@DotoDoya believe me, when i played the tutorial and noticed it's not explained there, but the move is listed in the move list a bit far down and tried i was like "why doesn't the game tell you this?" The only "bad" part, is that this special block only counts as a neutral/front block and can't change it's direction unlike normal blocking

Tip: If you are having trouble finding the dragon ball, check the map on the bottom right. When a dragon ball appears, there will be a small blinking yellow dot on your map. That will indicate where the dragon ball is located
So a trick to surviving those is to use Grabs and Melee Specials. The Combo goes on while the timer ticks down so you are essentially hiding in Cutscenes for the time to run out
Doto my guy, use charge attacks please. Especially when you charge to max, it makes charged attacks unblockable. Not to mention if you knock away the enemy with charge attacks, you can combo into supers and ultimates. Trust me dude, will change the game for you.
If you need to figure out the controls (like how to transform, swap out characters in tag team, etc.), you can head to the training area in the game (I think it's just called training for the game options), then tutorial, and then it will give you tutorials and even extra tips on how to do many things (you are doing very well in this, despite the huge difficulty increase and very little boosts to stats). Also, if you head to the shop, you can buy the dragon radar, which you can buy as many as you want, and for one fight each, you can get a notice of if a dragon ball flies out of a destroyed obstacle.
I didn't wanna comment this earlier but now that it's happened *flashbacks to the saiyan saga episode* surely this is Yajirobe's only fight right Yeahhh definitely, there definitely won't be some other insane battle with him and Roshi (I wanted to comment this then but didn't wanna spoil this cuz Ik the content and reaction would be amazing) Again, you really should consistently be buying and equipping evolution Z on characters Equipment slots are pretty important, don't forget them
someone's probably already said it but, last time i played the game. I remember the ruined city being a good place to grind for dragon balls.and constantly refighting General Tao time and time again for dragon balls Also after seeing that ending. I'm really excited to see how he'll do later on. There's 2 missions in particular I remember rage quitting on and i'm hoping it was actually because those missions were hard and not because I was bad at the game as a kid.
If you want to hunt for DragonBalls, go back to the Saiyan Saga and find General Tao in West City. Speed rush and/or blast through buildings. Eventually, you will see an orange radar blinking.
The best spot to farm dragon balls is the city stage. I just throw ppl thru the buildings till i find it. And if i remember correctly you can lock off by pressing "Down + L1"
Yo the first return of cooler mission killed me as well man I attempted it probably like 30times, ended up leveling roshi and yajirobi up as much as possible
Still remember how as a kid I spent hours grinding dragon balls in Tenkaichi 1 on Kami's lookout because they could only spawn inside the chamber so it was an easy and fast grab... Good times.
Get some items for them, train them a bit in the side fights, and then come back. Also, Dragon rushing through environments automatically break certain areas like houses and structures. Hope that helps with looking for Dragon Balls.
Doto if you read this just replay the saiyen story where you battled Vegeta in the mountains, each mountain holds a dragon ball if you blow it up . Good luck bro
DotoDoya to free roam during battle press and hold the lock on button for a sec again to unlock focus to freem roam and to lock on press and hold lock on again
You can manually lock off by pressing Down + L1 (or whichever button you have lock on bound to). It'll make it a bit easier to get the dragon ball but the camera still turns slow.
Doto to find stage drop dragon balls easier u can dragon dash (dash button any direction + ki charge) into stage debree or get a little distance from them an L1 to lock off if ur to close to the cpu the ull auto lock on like building, cars weirdly enough an destroyable rocks. They give u crazy good Z items that mix stats like attack +3 + health +4 an so on. Hopes this helps amazing videos man an hope u complete this, it's hard af but amazing z story.
Doto, after you launch them into the air and jump, hit triangle (the same button to launch but neutral) before you mash the attack button. Slight extension to the combo lol
Doto, from what my Nostaliga senses are telling me the easiest level to get dragon balls from is the Rocky Area (I think some Buu saga fights happen here, maybe). Also I think I remember locking off was pushing the movement thumbstick back (away from) the oponent and pressing lock on. The Halo item halves the amount of Ki you need for your super attacks, i think you buy it from Baba's
I found the city map was the best for farming dragon balls because you can dragon rush the whole city and each destroyed building is a chance to spawn a dragon ball.
Ok so for the metal cooler fight my only suggestions would be to try either an infinite minni combo were you loop the first one or two attack strings together with resets Or cancel your combo after the smack away to charge or use a tachnice just make sure you keep you feet on the ground so you can block and maybe blink if you need to
Best way to get the dragon balls after breaking objects like buildings the road trees the time chamber Kami house and so on is by locking off manually with the same buttons used to lock on L1) + down on the d pad.

I remember that Metal Cooler mission, it was horrible for me as well.
Dion made the same exact frieza joke regarding bardock 😂
Ok so for the metal cooler fight my only suggestions would be to try either an infinite minni combo were you loop the first one or two attack strings together with resets
Or cancel your combo after the smack away to charge or use a tachnice just make sure you keep you feet on the ground so you can block and maybe blink if you need to
Best way to get the dragon balls after breaking objects like buildings the road trees the time chamber Kami house and so on is by locking off manually with the same buttons used to lock on L1) + down on the d pad.
