Wow very interesting you can’t seat with ppl with a Wi-Fi/drink package crazy.. good tips since I’ll be heading out on my 1st MSC cruise on the seashore. MSC did upgrade me to a balcony which I wasn’t expecting.
That is awesome! Love the free upgrades! And yes I think it’s ridiculous about how they seat you for dinner. I learned the hard way with a client who was traveling as a group. Had no clue until she brought it to my attention and then I called MSC to confirm. Have a great time on MSC Seashore! I’ll be on Seashore in January!

Definitely got the MSC upgrade and it’s much appreciated.
I heard a rumor that they upgrade the bookings reserved by TAs when space is available before they do it for those who book on the consumer site. Not sure how true it is but we keep getting upgraded! Definitely appreciate that about MSC!
I'm glad I didn't spend my extra money on the specialty dining when i was on MSC. The service is better at the buffet and the food is the same. Just to note on these ships with those types of elevators, since its a new concept and people do not understand how to use the elevators, it is best to use the aft elevators. They are not as busy and are quicker.

Wow, so far, MSC has not been very accomodating! I've sailed with many cruise lines and they are ALWAYS able to make exceptions on food. Mom had a number of limitations due to diverticulosis and some of the meds she took and we never had problems with her meals. Especially on Princess, the Maitre 'D would go over menus with me and have the chef make alterations to dishes so Mom could have them.
I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences on the Seaside. I've sailed on MSC a few times in the past and two sailings this year and I can say the customer service is "different" this year. I think since the pandemic, there aren't as many employees to keep up with service.

Wow...we brought drinks in the theater every night and didnt have to reserve the shows on my sailings.
When did you cruise on MSC Seaside? Maybe they changed things up. One thing about MSC is that they aren’t consistent. We had to reserve on the app and then we got in the standby line for the next show and they said we couldn’t see it twice. 🤷🏽♀️. They had a little table set up outside the door and told people they had to place their drinks there and couldn’t take them in. I thought that was crazy.

So sorry your day wasnt that great 😔 Thats absolutely crazy that the water was an upcharge especially since you already had a package. And even crazier that they didnt even try to accommodate for your son. Hopefully MSC gets their act together, because they really can be a great cruise line..but its back to the customer service thing. Thanks for sharing your honest input!
Yes totally agree that they could be an amazing cruise line. They are underrated in some areas. We had no issues on the other 3 MSC ship we cruised on. They just have to be consistent! Their value is unmatched. Thanks for watching!

Wow! Note to self avoid specialty restaurants! It comes down to principle! My wife and I were just on the Seaside and were overall pleasantly surprised. Love your vlogs!
On the topic of the water…the question is for the people that don’t want to spend the 7$ and don’t have a drink package would they even let you bring a refillable water bottle in. They weren’t accommodating for the nut allergy so i could see them saying no to bringing in your own water bottle…😬
I just went on this ship. I wasn't impressed either. I typically go on Carnival and wanted to try a new cruise line. I'm convinced people that hate on Carnival, never been on a cruise. I did like MSC shows better but nothing else.
Totally agree with you! Carnival is our preferred line. We always have a good time!

I think MSC just seems not too fun. LOL I don't like how you have to sign up for the shows and only one entree and not much free dining. I'm going on Carnival Mardi Gras this year and I know Carnival is definitely a fun ship!
Carnival is certainly a lot more fun than MSC. MSC is great if you want. A more laid back cruise. Enjoy your time on Mardi Gras! It’s one of our faves!

The steakhouse looks very bland, with dinner type dishes.
The steakhouse on Carnival seems better.

@@hereyagoI agree with you. My experience maybe be different than others. I had no problem on the other MSC ships. And some people loved MSC Seaside. I just couldn’t get past the nasty cabin and terrible food
Ok the title got me last time, this time it’s the opening voiceover. “…a mediocre dinner at the steakhouse..” 😂😂. I really hate that this experience wasn’t better for you guys. What is it with them not wanting to help out in the simplest of ways? They can’t just bring you a basket of bread without nuts? Geesh…
Omg MSC is ridiculous! Why bother to cruise with them. Too many "No's" for me. The NEGATIVES being Prejudice, Lousy food, Nasty cabins, Restrictions and Charges. A Definite No Thank You!!! Really appreciate your honest opinion 😊
I wonder if Andrew wanted to go to the club with you let him go by himself or would you get up and get dressed and go with him?
Andrew doesn’t understand social cues. He would love to go by himself but he won’t talk to anyone but he’ll want to join in with them and might follow around (which most people might find strange). He really loves being around people but not everyone understands him (and some people can be down right cruel- unfortunately). When Dice gets of age, they can go together cause he will keep an eye on him. But for now I’d go with him (and watch from afar).
Ive heard/seen numerous videos regarding MCS treatment of people of color. I will never cruise with them. Shameful
