Ukraine is controversal in Poland. Hate-love relationship. Ukraine (Bandera) killed tons of civilian Poles (up to 100000) in the western territories of Ukraine, or what used to the eastern territories of Poland, and mostly children. Problem is, many Ukrainians have not distanced themselves from the nazi Bandera. The Poles have not been forgiving this, and they should not.

He actually is pro-Ukraine / anti-Putin, and TVP is mispresenting his statements to defend the West's pathetically hesitant attitude towards helping Ukraine (don't forget, the new Polish government had police storm the channel HQ and removed all journalists they didn't like, i.e. who didn't report the way they wanted - why do you think the viewpoint diversity is gone?!?). What he's trying to say is that we need to help them A LOT MORE if we want them to win, which is correct. Just look at the failed summer offensive - the West demanded they attack without air support (which Western nations would never do themselves), then blamed them for the foreseeable failure of the attempt. The West gave Russia all the time it needed to dig in before sending insufficient aid, and then complained about Ukraine not making progress. As long as Western leaders refuse to give Ukraine what it needs to win (and even put silly restrictions like "you must not attack the aggressor on their territory), fail to commit to Russia's defeat (instead of worrying about this scenario), and refuse to give Ukraine a clear perspective of joining NATO (which will only become more difficult politically as Europe & America are shifting towards the right), we should be blaming no one but OUR LEADERS for the dire situation Ukraine is in now. I wish Ukraine was winning on all fronts, I would love nothing more but to see this happen in fact, but wishful thinking won't help Ukraine AT ALL. If we want them to win, we need our leaders to WAKE UP and do what is necessary, rather than hope & dream whilst Russia is slowly but surely advancing. What our leaders are doing - as usual with support from the media - is despicable and pathetic. If our politicians realized the seriousness of the situation, they would attack all those who oppose the aid by explaining to voters that they will be to blame if Ukraine falls and their own sons must be sent to prevent Russian attacks on NATO countries. Mikhail Khodorkovsky is a good guy, one of the most prominent members of Russian opposition, who was on Piers Morgan speaking out just a few months back. A bit weird for TVPWorld to be going after him with this poor quality clip. The man is clearly expressing frustration with lack of the assistance to Ukraine.
Please, no-one with good intentions for the Russian people and in his case Ukrainian people becomes successful in Russia and this guy was one of the biggies in Putins gang before he decided to oppose Putin realising Putin will never leave the Presidency of his own will.
He is now buttering up the West to lift its game and get rid of Putin so he can return and take over.

However, I do agree that unless the West returns to its values of the 1960's and gets rid of the leaders of the EU and makes it a truly democratic organisation for Europe rather than being a benefactor to China/Russia as it currently is then in the long term the west will fall. If you asked a University student of the 1960's various questions about history, current affairs, politics they could give you accurate and meaningful responses. The craziest ones are the oil price predictions by 'market experts', not some bloggers, but speakers at Bloomberg etc. In 2022, there were predictions how "oil will never be below 100$/barrel anymore" or "in 2023, when China reopens, oil will be strongly in triple digits". Spoiler: it's been almost 2 years oil staying strongly below 100$.
A lot of Ukraine war predictions being wrong (from both sides) and many "russia will crumble this summer/by the end of the year because of ..." kind of things.

German industry had been "subsidized" by cheap Russian energy. Without it , there was an additional cost in manufacturing. A great American win against Europe.

Khodorkovsky has a point. If Ukraine falls, Europe will follow. The west should do MUCH more to prevent his from happenning instead of simply dismissing this possibility.
Europe will never fall. Russia has a population of 145 million, a lot less now. Europe has a population of 650-700 million people. Good luck with that!!
