I watched "your name" on my fly to Japan back in May 2017 - It was so moving... totally unexpected as I haven't heard about it before... it was that unique moments like you are inside a movie.. I was crying on the plane with all the emotions at my skin...
The first two are movies that I will remember till the end of my life with such clarity and vividness. I wish I could rewind time just to watch these two again for the first time XD
As much as I believe that the stories weren't well written, everything about them, especially Your Name, makes me feel so melancholy. A feeling of quiet sadness and being a bit alone.
Why do you “believe” that? Someone get in your ear about them? Shinkai’s movies are straight up vibe based. I don’t think you’re supposed to think too too deeply about the supernatural stuff.
