There has been a clear downing of tools in recent weeks. Agree Alice , the ability and execution wasn't there most of the season , exacerbated by an insane amount of injuries, but there was still heart and fight. Of late these players have checked out as they have done on the last three managers but I also do blame INEOS even if not genuine they could have put out a cleverly worded public statement backing ETH or at least put some fear in these players. Even with the public statement, for one cleverly word it and could have still sacked him just as easily at season's end or early next season. But as much of an ETH backer as i've been some of losing the squad is likely on him as well ; he has fallen out with a number of players , likely rubbed many the wrong way , plays favorites , and many i suppose questioning his many times this season naive tactics.
Thats been my main concern with ETH really since we got him and especially this season ; he's used to dealing with mostly kids and young up and coming footballers in his previous jobs, Ajax included. The complex and nuanced man-management at the biggest clubs and MUFC in particular just takes a special character. Maybe ETH just isn't that , though on the contrary , this squad did the same to one of the best managers ever in Jose and a great of the sport as well in LVG (theres elements from both those tenures still in the squad).
Watch how players will be ready for the FA cup finals and just walk back into the team.

This Club is at a Crossroads now. There are 2 options to pick: You trust into your owners, board and directors. Let them decide the system. Let them buy the players for that system. Get a great system coach. Who can have his small touches and adaptions. But plays whats required. -> OR
If the players have decided to ignore his instructions, because they THINK he is going to get sacked. Then that is an utter disgrace, they get paid handsomely, more than most people will ever see in their whole lives. The least they can do is do their job to the best of their ability and do an honest shift. After all the manager may not get the sack.

It’s not that the players are not 100%, they just not capable. The setup and tactical requirements, they aren’t able to pull it off. It’s been evident all season players are not following the plan, how else can the gaps and space in midfield be explained? Wingers not tracking back? Defense unable to play out from the back, Onana has to thumb it upfield just so United can get the ball away from the defense and midfield. These lot can’t keep the ball for 30 seconds, they can’t sustain an attack or pin an opponent down. The FA cup match vs Liverpool 2nd half extra time is about it. Not many managers will get much out of them, either they badly coached or they incapable to be coached. Most of United players legs are gone, they lack pace and concentration. Could even say football IQ has deserted them, the decisions and mistakes they make during a game is staggering.

The problem with man utd now it is full of big egos that don't like being told what to do. The last few managers have been thrown under the bus by these same players. There is no cohesion or style in the team and that's down to the manager but individually they haven't shown any passion and that's what they're struggling. If Ten Hag gets sacked then a new manager will inherit the same problems. It's a massive clear out required and a rebuild but other teams are looking at the same players and the prices have gone through the roof. The manager should have given some of the young lads a shout because they couldn't have been any poorer than what's been on show.

One cany say "Players given up." One could say "They lost faith into the Manager and his Setup/Style of Play/Tactics". And both are right. There are clearly players who dont stand the standards of a UNITED player. And the Manager is clearly not the right fit as well. He lacks adaption when needed. His subs are often awful. After 2yrs there are no visual patterns of play. Höjlund was an awful talent ID. Overpaid like twice. He is a 35mil ST/CF at the very best. Another stupid panic buy. Another proof that there is no good 2,3 or even 4th choice. There is the "number 1" most get target and nothing else. If you get these number1 targets. For a huge premium price. And they flop. Höjlund wrong type of Striker for the wrong wingers/am. Mount as a replacement ment for Ericsen. But you forget there already was a problem with the DM position last season. And Mount isnt a DM. Antoney is on a level of an academy grade! Some kid should be able to have his output. For ZERO transfer fee and 1/10 of his wages! Almost 50mil for an avg. GK. Who cost the club the UCL knockout stage. You are accountable as a manager. PERIOD. You have to walk by yourself in shame. Knowing you wasted approx 300mil on transfers(not all are bad) and 2 years of the clubs fans/supporters time. Mate go back to AJAX. Get humble and try again in a few years at a midtable club. That would suit you.
