This is the third album of the trilogy.The end of the sequence.Its not composed to be a head banger.Its about the lyrics and the compositions are masterful to compliment them.

Yes, it is already the second video of the upcoming album in which Nightwish members constantly fall. They fall off the earth into space, fall into books... "The Fall of Nightwish" - haha! Hope you are getting a lot of clicks. Know what? Nightwish is not for everyone. But it is for me! I love old Nightwish and I love new Nightwish challenging me to dive in into deep topics and great music and emotions. And as it is Nightwish themselves to bring out such brilliant stuff, I kind of dare to say it is 100% Nightwish. It is up to the band to determin what Nightwish is, he? Nightwish is for adults and for open minded, very clear humans who embrace and understand this art and those who do not judge too fast. Feel free not to like after judging very superficially by the way. Thank you nevertheless (I could not understand too much of what you said, I'm afraid, because of your strong accent. Sorry.) Dude, I've been a fan of Floor since 2002, I believe you're also a fan of After Forever because I've already seen a video of you reacting to Evoke. Then compare the parameters of that song with this one from nightwish. It's not Floor's fault if something didn't turn out as some fans wanted, each song has a way of performing. No after forever and Revamp had the appropriate settings. As far as I know on this new nightwish album, Floor received the songs already prepared and she simply had to record, adapt to what the music required, there were no in-person adjustments, I believe there was a mix afterwards. But the best thing is to record them all together until reaching an ideal point, but I believe that in these last works there was a change in the composition of Thuomas' songs. Anyway, I'm not going to criticize this, he's the genius, I'm just a fan. But all great bands try this, even to avoid doing more of the same. I believe that Floor prefers to sing high notes, she herself has said that her voice has more power on high notes, but the last songs have a lot of low parts. Just watch the PAN music. Do what?
A bit of a new way to go for Nightwish, with the children choir, having as much singing time as Floor almost i belive, Floor is doing some fast phrasing here to, something like she does in the song Shoemaker, kind off i think.
The Ill starred kids of your junkyard thats us humans right, People today are getting told all kind of doomsday things, AI and war, or a new virus will end the world, but this song says, the end is fear, its not near, armagedon aint coming tommrow, the due date for all these predictions have been passed many times, so life your life,dont fear it, hide the unshot guns doomsday predictors tell is gonna blast.
Also notice that Floor joins the kids choir at end and connect that to her charecter she is in video, she realize something during video, Toumas said so in a interview i watched..
I didnt read the book 1984 written by George Orwell, but the song got reference to that book i belive.
At first listen i needed another listen, at 3th listen the song got me, and i started like the children choir, i actually think its a pretty good song, and something not heard like this from NW before, now i listened to the song many times!
This is not a Empuu shine song, there is heavy guitar rhytm in the middle section and end, but not the big Empuu solo, but i also think this song dosent need it, because the Children choir takes spotlight instead,..
The title the day off.. is missing telling what its the day off, so i think this is where you can put in the optimistic view of the song, as a listener, if you like to, and hear the song that way, the listener decide what its the day off.
The original idea was this one to be 1st single, because it was a diffrent sound from NW people told Tuomas, this have to be a single, but then Tuomas decided it should be Perfume of the timelees, and this 2nd.
I belive a 3th single will be out before album release, being last track on upcoming album, called Lanternlight.
Everyone gas their own opinion. Don't agree with this reaction so just going to turn it off.
Reminds me of the "Galileo" section of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I'm not a fan of the Disney-sounding Nightwish songs. They should bring back the heavy guitars like in Tribal for example.

I dont hate it, its just not got the feel of the older songs. They are 40+ now, the fire has gone somewhat. Their recent songs have been mature and grounded, but that not where the feeling is sadly. The mastering is still a bit crushed as well, but not as bad as perfume.
Listen to this and then listen to anything of theirs from 15-20 years ago. Totally different.
I first started listening to Nightwish with Angels Fall First and this is nothing like that era or any era of nightwish.

To me the song is mediocre - some fans are what really drives me nuts. Everything was fine as long as everybody loved everything - I remember how great it was to read the flood of positive comments under every Wacken 2013 reaction. Turns out some fans hate as passionately as they love if someone does not love what they love.
Especially striking arguments:
- It must be good, because Tuomas intended it to be as it is.
- It must be good, because it gets better after listening multiple times.
- It must be good, because it is different from what they have done before.
- It must be good, because it's Nightwish.

Hey there, fellow reactor here. Just a fair warning for ya, it seems some Nightwish "fans" are getting offended by anyone criticizing this song. Clip and music: bland & boring. Floor and Emppu underused (again). Marko's metal presence sorely missed. The poppy drums just plodding along, lacking any kind of bite or groove. The video - in which nothing much is happening other than NW puppets falling - aptly symbolises the fall of this "band" (the Metal Mozart's solo project disguised as one). The pseudo-prog of H:N apparently wasn't bad enough, cuz this is even worse. All about Tuomas' supposedly "deep" message to mankind.
Floor should get out a.s.a.p. after their 30th anniversary. She's way better than to submit to a composer consistently underusing her stellar vocal abilities, forcing her once again to use awkward phrasing in an attempt to match lyrics to metre. Read her Aardschok interview abt missing Marko, overusing a mediocre singer like Troy and the touring hiatus. Finally, after playing nice for way too long ("Tuomas challenged me, etc" the H:N blabla), she's giving off very diplomatically phrased, yet very strong vibes that she's had enough. Good for her!

And as a true nigjtwish fan I tell you and I put my signature too that this band have changed a lot!!! Now, for some fans that change is good but for the most of us that we begun our pure symphonic metal journey with nightwish , the band has lost its identity !!! For me personaly the changes begun already with the last two albums. And before some toxic fans spill their poison , my comment has nothing to do with floor. Although I always thought that floor was phenomenal amazing with her other bands. That is her element!!! Kalispera from Greece .love and peace!!!!

I also follow Nightwish from the beginning and musically i liked them a lot but i couldn't listen to the full operatic singing anymore, to much for me but when Floor joined i dicovered Nightwish again.

I love Nightwish but I have to agree with you.
As usual Tuomas’s lyrics are clever and thought provoking, but at the end of the day it’s a song not poetry and should be judged as such. The song lacked the spark that we come to expect from Nightwish.
