You can buy it on Amazon. They do have a Stainless Steel Steam Juicer with a faucet on it. I got mine in 1975/76. I purchased mine at a wine making equipment store. Mine has a rubber hose on it like Josie's. I think the faucet would be much better and safer. It's as important as my Water Bath and Pressure Canners are for preserving food.
Josie, this is a great video using the Steam Juicer. Mine was purchased in 1975/76 and has a Rubber Hose on it. Amazon has a Stainless Steel Juicer with a faucet on it. I think it would be a lot safer than ours with the hoses on them. YES IT IS VERY HOT. Have a blessed day stay safe and healthy 🙏🥰👍👌🙏✝️🙏🇺🇸🙏
Amazon has a Stainless Steel Juicer with a Faucet on it. I think it would be safer to use instead of the ones with a hose. It is very hot. I love mine.
Thank you for another wonderful video. I have always juiced the “old” way, drip, drip, drip. You inspired and convinced me, my new steam juicer was just delivered on my doorstep.
Check out Amazon's Stainless Steel Juicer with a Faucet. I think it would be safer than mine and Josie's with the hose, because it is very hot. You will love it.
Josie I make my Apple Sauce and Tomato Sauce with my Steam Juicer. I don't peel them, just core and cut them up. When done run them through a Foley Food Mill, add just enough juice for the thickness you want. No more scorched apples or tomatoes. Any leftover tomato juice make a pot of vegetable soup or can or freeze it for later use. Drink or can any of the apple juice left over.
Thank you, so much, for doing this video! I saw Sarah from Living Traditions Homestead use one of these juicers a while back and contemplated whether to get one- now I’m convinced that I really do want one! Thank you so much! ❤️
Amazon has a Stainless Steel Juicer with a Faucet on it. I think it would be much safer than mine and Josie's with the hose on the juicer. Put it on your wish list for canning equipment. You will love it♥️
Amazon has a Stainless Steel Juicer with a faucet on it. Like Josie's, mine has a rubber hose on it. I think the Faucet would be safer because the juice is very hot.
I looked at the pot with the faucet, and then went with the pot I have. I felt that the hose could be replaced easier in the future. I like that it is easy to clean and felt the faucet might be harder. I guess it boils down to what you like best.
Love my steam juicer. Made grape juice for years but tried rhubarb and apple juice last year. Freeze all the pulp to make dehydrated leathers through the winter. Going to try juicing strawberries now. We always can our juices in mason jars.
Hi Josie: I LOVE my steam juicer. Not only do I use it for fruit but I steam my tomatoes for making tomato sauce. It removes most of the excess water from them so the cooking time for the sauce is greatly decreased. I blanch my tomatoes to peel them, core & cut them steam them. The remaining pulp I run through my strainer to remove the seeds and what is left is nice thick sauce. You really don't have to peel the tomatoes because they would be separated in the strainer also with the seeds.
I have one of those steam juicers and it is so amazing, it works great. Just like you demonstrated, thank you for your videos they are so inspiring ❤💖 God bless you and keep you, Josie. I love all your videos and tours of your garden and livestock M
Hi Josie, Would you mind sharing your personal process of what you do right after you harvest your strawberries? This was my first year for my strawberry bed. I have a 3 foot wide by 18 foot long patch and I planted my strawberry plugs (not bare root plants). They have really out performed my expectations. I have harvested at least 4 pints already and since this was my first year growing strawberries, I thought they did extremely well. :) I am in WV, zone 6. I would just like to know your process after you harvest. I've read many different ways from articles and such but I just want to ask a person whose actually had the experience for awhile and what works for you. Thank you and I know Howie would be so PROUD of you for staying strong and continuing on with sharing your wisdom with others. I thank God that He gave you such a sweet soul! Thank you once again :) Blessings to you
If I don't have enough from a picking, I wash and freeze the berries until I do. If you are going to use the berries within a few days, refrigerate but don't wash them until you are ready to use them. If making jelly you can steam juice or cook you berries to release their juice. Cooking in a pot requires you to strain thru a jelly bag and the juice is what you use to make jelly.
I have never heard of such a thing and although my grandmother may have steam juiced I am not familiar with it. That looks so easy even I could do that 😊 Could you use the pulp for making strawberry bread or strawberry cobbler or my favorite strawberry rhubarb pie/cobbler? I would like to know how to prepare peaches for freezing. I have ordered a box of fresh peaches from The Peach Truck which delivers fresh Georgia peaches & pecans to several states here & around Ohio where I live. I have a new Presto canner but have an older glass top stove so I am afraid of it cracking plus my range hood is too low so canning is out of the question. What is the best way to pit the peaches? I always end up with a juicy mess. Thank you Josie I sure do appreciate you...you are a beautiful blessing ❤️
Debbie some use the pulp for other recipes. I find that especially with strawberry, the process leaves the pulp really seedy and not much flavor or color.
Yes like fruit roll up. I don't like the strawberry pulp left over myself, but others do. My juicer is stainless steel and the hoses are high temp food grade silicone.
Yes, you can juice tomatoes, fruits and berries in it. I don't even peel my fruits, just cut them up and toss them in. When making tomatoe juice you do need to run the pulp through a Foley Food Mill to get rid of the peels and seeds. Add this to the Amber Juice. When making tomato sauces I don't add all of the Amber Juice to the pulp, just enough for the thickness of the sauce you want it to be. The old way was to cook our tomatoes to remove the juice. Plus you can scorch the tomatoes. The juice you don't use put it in soups, vegetable stocks, or feed it to your pigs. Our pigs loved it.
S Hodson, I juice blackberries, plums, peaches, apples ( pulp makes applesauce) grapes etc. I may try some watermelon this summer just for fun. You can use frozen fruit. It works great.
How are you making jelly out of the juice?Just checked a box of lower sugar Sure Jell - directions call for ie 4 cups fruit or juice. Do you just follow directions? Most times directions have you add the Sure Jell pectin to the sugar, add 1 cup water, bring to a boil and stir 1 minute. Then add the fruit or juice. Is this the way you do it?
It makes the greatest Blackberry, Raspberry, or Concord Grape Jelly/Juice If you live in the South make Muscatine Jelly/Juice. I live in Ohio, we can't grow Muscatines here.
It would depend on what you are planning to do with the pulp after you juice the berries. Some use it to make fruit leather, or other things so you wouldn't want to try to remove stems. I remove mine just as a preference.
I just love watching you. You are so sweet and knowledgeable.
You are a great blessing to me. Thank you so much. You give me hope for the future.
Feel so bad knowing I can't take care or both. You are so strong
I think I will try this. Thank you
Never knew about juicing berries! Thanks Josie! 💞🙏
Rain rain go away just a little??? Raining in TN also. We can’t work in Dads garden too wet. Thanks for all the good information. You are a blessing.
I wish it rained where I live 🌧 I love strawberries. Great video 👍
I never heard of a steam juicer. Looks interesting and easy. Hmmm just might need one! Txs Josie

Thank you for this. I purchased a steamer and had no idea how to use it effectively. Your video was perfect- down to the do not press the fruit!
So thankful for this video because I just got this juicer from amazon . Im really looking forward to juicing my blackberries
You are going to love it. Great time saver when canning. ♥️
It will make beautiful juice from your blackberries!
Thank you for another wonderful video. I have always juiced the “old” way, drip, drip, drip. You inspired and convinced me, my new steam juicer was just delivered on my doorstep.
You will never go back. It saves so much time and mess. Happy steam juicing!
God Bless you and yours Josie.
Thank you for the video 😊👍
Thank you for showing the steam juicer! I've never seen one before
Been Raining here in Arkansas Yesterday Afternoon and Today, more Forecast for here Tomorrow ! Nice Juicer Ms. Josie! God Bless You & Your Family!

I may get one of those. Thanks for taking us thru the process.

Steam juicer is awesome and looks easy. ❤️🙏
Thanks Josie I am always up for an easier way of doing things.

@@glendavertner8906 great Glenda. Thanks so much for letting me know.Very nice of you.
I have looked at the juicer with the faucet. My concern is the ability to really clean it well after juicing.
Thanks so much. I've gotta get one of those pots. It's a no fault way of making juice. 👍👍

I have had juicy messes before with peaches. Try to get freestone or cling free peaches cause the pit isn't attached to the fruit.
Love it.
Btw if you decide to make homemade strawberrie wine. Pls send a bottle to fl. Lol
Wow that great
Awesome vid🙏 - i hadn't heard of a steam juicer before👍👍 question: what is strawberry leather? Is it like a fruit roll up?
Ps Aluminum & plastic anything is not good - especially w/acidic things like tomatoes etc
Yeah, its like a fruit roll up. Easy to do in oven or dehydrator.
Yes like fruit roll up. I don't like the strawberry pulp left over myself, but others do. My juicer is stainless steel and the hoses are high temp food grade silicone.

What other fruits do you juice? Also, do you always begin with the fruit frozen?

Can you use the steam juicer for blackberries as well? Or do you still need to remove the seeds from the juice with a strainer?
You would be able to do the same process with blackberries. No worries about the seeds as long as you don’t press them down or stir them.
It makes the greatest Blackberry, Raspberry, or Concord Grape Jelly/Juice If you live in the South make Muscatine Jelly/Juice. I live in Ohio, we can't grow Muscatines here.
Have you tried to do grapes in it to make grape jelly
I used mine to make grape juice
I am sure that they would work great in there.
Do the strawberries have much flavor left in them? I am thinking up with all sorts of ways to use them! Thank you!
to me the pulp is best for my chickens
@@CedarCreekHomestead I bet they do love it!
