Actually, there were power-ups in the first game, just not copy abilities. Kirby occasionally stumbled upon power-ups in the first game. The power-ups found in Kirby’s dreamland were reworked into copy abilities in Kirby's adventure
yeah I keep flip flopping between calling them power ups and copy abilities. I mean copy abilities though! Kirby’s Dreamland had those weird little power ups for sure tho

@Pinkamena! I never said it didn't. In fact, I said it did have power-ups. however, games that have copy abilities do not feature those two power-ups
Also, wasn't there a microphone thingie in dreamland 1 that you could inhale and spit out that would kill all enemies on screen?

It took me until JUST NOW to realize that when it says how many waddle dee’s you need, they’re talking about each individual world. I thought it was talking about how many waddle dee’s you had all together, that’s why when I saw that you only needed 2 more waddle dee’s to fight the second boss I was so confused and kind of angry that Nintendo would make it so easy. I always made sure I had every possible waddle dee before fighting the boss for the first time
My boy uses my phone ☎️ while he home so anything to do with gaming is my 11yr old boy answers. Just putting dat out there universe 🤟🏽🕉️☮️🕎☦️💃💥💴
Would be cool to follow up with how much % can you complete without copy abilities to see if there's some crazy tech to get some that otherwise require powerups, but that feels more like Trivia than challenge as Kirby games tend to be so tightly built, most things require powerups to activate rather than access.

Nintendo makes it easy because the rest of the waddle dees are for extras and stuff
Here are my thoughts on mouthful. Kirby gets powerups by swallowing enemies and stuff. Kirby never swallows the mouthful mode stuff, therefore mouthful is not powerup

I would say mouthful mode doesn’t count as power ups, it counts as this games special feature.

The mouthful mode items are like the food power up items in the first game like the curry and lemon(?)

The funny thing is that the first time I play this game I couldn't beat the gorilla boss fight with a power up so I did it without any of them at my first attempt 😅😂😂

How did he get the cone mouth in the second level, you need an ability to cut it loose?
That’s not the case. There’s an optional cone that can be cut down but the mandatory cone is just on the ground
Mouthful mode doesn't count because he doesn't actually swallow it you can see the bottom of the car it's just like having an enemy in your mouth and spitting and help

the only wattle dee I didn't get on my first attempt of levels was the "defeat twin wild frosty without getting hit" it's so stupidly hard for no reason.

i am working on 100% game on spring breeze because to me the mode doesnt matter because of the wormhole levels i hate them so much i have every copy ability
I did this challenge right after a challenge where i did a "no evolving copy abilities" challenge and my adhd brain couldnt handle missing things in levels so i gave up by world 3
From the beginning, I was fine with him using the mouthfuls. He didn’t have to say something about it literally every time he used them.

I don't think mouthful mode counts as copy abilities I think you're just overcomplicating things by using the term "power-up" instead of the more specific "Copy ability"

That's because the original idea when I started streaming it was no "power up" of any kind (Copy Abilities, Items, Mouthful Mode) it quickly morphed into no Copy Abilities tho

No copy abilities is the default way to play, all the games are balanced for no abilities first, so it makes sense it's possible, fun and balanced
