Another Aussie here, I'm from Sydney, NSW. We heard a Yowie crying out from thick lantana bush after hearing stories about how someone had seen one in that area. So fascinating
Hello from another Australian. I am of Aboriginal descent on my dads side, my paternal grandma being Wiradjuri, which is one of the largest of the Koori countries in NSW. I presently live in Darug and Gundungarra country, which the Blue Mountains National Park is in. I have been listening to Brett's story as I sort out the 55 years of my life into "rubbish, keep, recycle" as what I consider to be important isn't so to my daughters who rudely decided that what I wanted to keep was ALL rubbish and while I was out threw it away. I have spent the last week in a motel which overlooks the valleys which are burning. There is hardly anyone here except for myself and a couple of locals who needed to get away from the smoke near their properties. I have called these mountains home for 29 years and I have NEVER seen it so bad so early in summer. I know that Australia has always had bush fires but looking out the window and seeing very little but smoke, and knowing that the fauna up here is being hard hit makes an animal lover like myself quite sad and helpless. The fact that several fires are deliberately lit makes me FURIOUS. Anyway, I enjoyed the Yowie story and the funny thing is I have been wondering whether the Yowies got to safe ground. My grandson was herded out of an area bordering the Jamison Valley nearly 3 years ago and they pretty much roam where they like, but if they find dead ones the public will be the last to know. I too am aware of Yowies killing tourists, mostly those who wander away from areas with other humans and I KNOW the local Police know due to the VERY strange reaction one senior officer gave me when I asked him about the Yowies. We don't have bears here to blame. His denials confirmed what I already knew to be true. There are sightings up here and I'll quickly tell you one because I've over shared and written too much already. This happened a few years back in a place called Wentworth Falls, which is about 2 kilometers from where I am now. A man was driving home at dusk down a dead end road. It's very bushy there and from the left side of the road come 3 Yowies, each about 7 and a half foot tall. The guy looks at them quickly, mouth agape I imagine, and then because he believes he's about to be killed by these creatures puts his head in his hands and his hands over the steering wheel and remains that way for 10 minutes, every moment expecting that if he looks up they will somehow get into his car and kill him. Eventually he peeks out and they are gone. They were just crossing the road from one bush track to another, but he was TERRIFIED. I have heard that our Yowies don't like you looking them in the eye. If I ever see one I promise to be as obsequious as possible. Have a good day, or night and thanks for reading this if you did.

Great story. I've been to Perth while a young man in the US. Navy, wonderful, friendly people. They must get their guns back, everyone has the natural right to protect themselves and their loved ones. Do not let it happen here!
Most of us don’t want them back. Hearing the horrific mass gun shootings that regularly happen in your schools and shopping centres backs that’s. Our children do not have to walk through metal detectors to get their education, and we appreciate that. Many avid hunters here still legally allowed to own a small collection if firearms. We aren’t a completely disarmed country. More hunters & young adults have also turned to old school practices like archery & crossbows...
What a cool story. It’s even better when you are listening to the mechanisms by which the Aussies speak. Now that would be a great guest to have tell his stories in an interview. Thanks for the stories you bring to us.
Good evening mr Dixie thank you for this wonderful master piece of narrative storytelling I sincerely enjoyed your story thank you so very much I appreciate you sharing your stories thoughts and experiences with all of us dream sweet and good night prayers smiles bear hugs and peace to you and your family

Are there incidents of cryptid sightings in New Zealand? My hubby is from the Wairapa (I'm American) and last time we were there, his cousin took us on a guided tour of all the "sacred sites," as he's the tribe historian. He was going on about "taniwha, this, taniwha, that..." and I kind of tuned out after a while and just appreciated the gorgeous landscapes. Anyway, I don't speak the language.

Fantastic story superbly narrated! I believe every single word! Bretto, your a bloody legend Mate! Thanks for sharing! I live in Perth, Western Australia - right across the country from Brett. 3500km give or take! I do a lot of solo camping and I’ve had one or two experiences myself, although not in the same category as Brett’s. We do have the Big Hairy Men over here in WA, but due to the much more severe conditions (not least a lack of fresh water in the bush) sightings and reports are much fewer in number than they are in New South Wales and Queensland. I was out camping one night on my lonesome as usual. It was after 11pm, pitch black, and I was in my sleeping bag in the tent ready to call it a night. It was a completely still calm night with not a breath of wind. No moon and millions of stars as there is zero light pollution. I was lying there with my eyes closed waiting to drift off, when a sizeable tree crashed down. I would estimate not more than 100m from where I lay. I sat up and listened. Nothing happened for a minute, then crash, another tree came down, probably 50m from my tent. I listened for another hour or so with my heart pounding the whole time. There was no further action and I drifted off to sleep I guess! One tree falling in the night is nothing unusual. Two falling within a minute on a night when there is zero wind is significant in my opinion. I’ve been back to the same spot many times and never had a similar experience. I’ve also looked for those fallen trees and never could find them! But it happened! I have no doubt I was being given a bit of a warning that night. This is my/our bit of bush and we don’t want you getting any closer.....or something along those lines. I took it on face value and didn’t ever set up camp any further in than I did that night the trees ‘fell’!
Love listening to all of your stories Cam but the Aussie story is definitely one of my favorites!! I hope he sends in his other story soon. Thank you Cam for providing a safe haven for folks to share their stories.

I live on the south Coast of new south Wales Australia about 150 kms from this man. I hunted wild pigs in the Clyde mountain ranges for over 40 years and had a similar experience at cabbage tree ck in 1986 while hunting just on dark. A large two legged animal stalked me and kept pace for about 1km forcing me to walk in the centre of the creek until I reached clear ground and my car. This was a life changing experience. I live on a bush block some distance from town and I still spend a lot of time in the bush and I'm constantly looking. I have no doubt this man's story is genuine

What a great story! Thank you for a wonderful story. Good day and thanks to to this gentleman for allowing you to share it with us.
I grew up about about 10 minutes away from Wee Jasper 💚 💙 💜 bloody great story. Believer here 🙏
Continue to love your stories Cam ! I especially like the way you validate each and every contributor. You find something positive to give that writer and it sounds so genuine and authentic. That is a gift Cam. Because there is a difference in flattery and lifting up a person and you do the latter very well.
Yeeeowie! Here we go!
That was quite an encounter! Pretty brave giving it a dose of Aussie attitude!!! That would of been one heck of a long walk back knowing that thing was on your back trail!
I'm born & bred Canberran & it's awesome to hear about areas I've been to. I loved even more trying to decipher your pronunciations of our places here in Australia. Good job considering even we have trouble as many of them are indigenous names & the majority of Australia are not.... nor bothered to respecct our indegenous. Mind you there are/were many dialects. Thank you for your channel which I've been subscribed in your first 100 I reckon but enjoy more & more every time I listen.
As an Aussie this really made my day. Good job guys!
Jill Simpson I am a little late to the party. You Aussie's can't own a gun ? Thank You for a response. I have recently heard so much over reach by your government.

Is this where the Aussies sit ?
Another great story ! Thanks for sharing these stories, I love your videos.
Great story from down under! Hi there from Tennessee❤
Wow 😳; the scenery is breathtaking/beautiful, what more can I say-David E.
Fantastic story Dix! Man, I wish this guy had multiple encounters to share. Very well written. Thank you.
This story has an astounding number of facts.
Served with a credible ring of truth.
Very interesting and powerfully written.
Thank you kindly, Brett
What a cool story. It’s even better when you are listening to the mechanisms by which the Aussies speak. Now that would be a great guest to have tell his stories in an interview. Thanks for the stories you bring to us.
Good evening mr Dixie thank you for this wonderful master piece of narrative storytelling I sincerely enjoyed your story thank you so very much I appreciate you sharing your stories thoughts and experiences with all of us dream sweet and good night prayers smiles bear hugs and peace to you and your family
I am both familiar with this story and with Brett. I love to hear our Yowie stories told in your voice Cam. As I mentioned in another comment to you , I am going back and listening to some of your older stories as I am but a recent subscriber. Love your work, thanks.
Yep when you tell family they look at you like you’ve got two heads....I remember this encounter from a few years back🤔 sounds like you’ve come to learn more B....thanks very much..from over the pond.👍
Thank you too mate and yes I have learnt a lot more
Yes there’s definitely cryptids here Mary.North and South Islands.

Thankyou for sharing bretto,,I was born and bred in sydney and spent alot of my youth surfing those places,,and exploring the bushland.👍👍🇦🇺

Hey Chris, I'm in WA too. Where roughly was your experience?
Thanks Chris, Bretto
Great story. Well written and wonderfully told.
Love listening to all of your stories Cam but the Aussie story is definitely one of my favorites!! I hope he sends in his other story soon. Thank you Cam for providing a safe haven for folks to share their stories.
Wow! Just Wow! What a wonderfully written encounter story. This gentleman is a fantastic writer! I definately could close my eyes and see everything like I was there. Cam, your reading of this tale was awesome! Thank you both for an amazing upload!!
Just bought a cabin in NE GA. 2 kids in college and empty nester. I second Brett hearing your voice made my day Love your channel and the company. Happy new year!
Excellent encouraging and wonderful. Glad to know more like us🌴🙏🏼🌴🙉🌲🙈
Great story from my home, Australia…well read thank you Sir 🦋
NIce story. thanks DC
Awesome story Cam!! This guy has it going on! God Bless
Thank you
I live on the south Coast of new south Wales Australia about 150 kms from this man.
Awesome story and as usual you did a nice job reading it. Can't wait to hear more I love the Australian story so so cool. But I love them all.
Cam that is a great story! I’m so glad he shared it and he is a good story teller. Amazing how the characteristics are the same as our Bigfoot. I’m always excited to see you’ve posted again! Keep up the good work, I know it helps these fellas get it off their chests in a forum where they have found their people! Merry Christmas! 💝💕
Thank you for all the time you dedicate to your show and your listeners. I listen to you every single night as it's the most relaxing hearing your voice and your easy of story telling without a whole lot of nonsense thrown in.. I appreciate you and wish you an amazing Christmas and special new year.
Beautiful scenery.....love it. Great story..interesting family history, great philosophy! Thank for sharing this experience ...Thanks Cam 👍🏽 These guys we’re escorted back to camp to ensure that they didn’t roam 😊‼️Peaceful encounter. Peace out ✌🏽
Thank you Cam, that was a great story! I appreciate you sharing your story Bret!
Fantastic skills and nads, cussing out that bugger. lol seems like either you are right, he was escorting you from his home or thought you were interesting to watch. like a sitcom. either way, glad you didnt become Yowie food and shared this story. Cant wait to here anything else you want to share!
I don’t know why, but I love this story!!!
Great story from down under Cam. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas.
Another excellent story Brother. I can’t imagine being without my gun that’s like taking a child’s woobie, it’s just in humane and cruel 😅
Without your gun? Why does this not compute with my brain, who in their right mind with a shred of humanity fairness & logical sanity NEEDS or WANTS a weapon designed to KILL people with?
When are they gonna descend, mate? Fight like a MAN, with your bare hands,
like an Aussie sheila does! It's inhumane? I do get your being ironic mate, nothing personal, I see your satirical sarcasm seeded in your soothy script sir.
However, I beg to differ, bwaaahaahaaa take the guns off 'em and they go to Aeroplane Jelly, fair dinkum, soft as me old grannies tapioca trifle mate!?
Grow a couple... without me gun... oh, no we're all gonna die!?
Skull a cuppa hot concrete & harden up princess!
My 7 year old daughter wrestles 5m saltwater crocodiles for school physical education lessons in a taipan infested swamp, guns!? Don't be a big girl's blouse mate, you'd go down like the Hindenburg carrying on like a pork chop over a shooter like that, you me carpark now...
Seriously, mate, peace truth & all the best Mr. Brown. Respect your right to be wrong & my wrongs are my right too, so fair suck of the sav, ooo roo, I'm off like a bride's nighty cobber!
I think the Yowies were making sure the men got back to camp. They were being herded, right back to camp & safety. Great story! Thank you and happy holidays!
