Would it work on a regular roof rack for a car, one that doesn’t have the side rails for support like your truck does?

might want to incorporate a hole for a padlock to fit through otherwise you might wake up with missing brackets and ladders lol

£20 for a set of ladder clamps. Not the MOST pointless video on YT but it's close 😂😂😂
Much stronger and I can take 2 ladders with that clamps and free 30min from Scrab metal job !! But thanks for your lovely comment
