NTA. All three of them are the only ones causing problems with their own selfish and destructive behavior. The MIL is only angry because she raised a damn fool, who doesn't know to keep his mouth shut. The nerve of those two to make such demands of your children after the selfish and harmful way they have handled everything is psychotic. If they keep insisting on taking you to court for dumb reasons, let them keep wasting their time.

If you’re in court, never interrupt the opposition when they make a mistake.
Even more so, if they dragged you into court for bogus claims.

If you interrupt someone making an ass of themselves, it’s less funny. NTAH, that was a badass move!!!

Don’t interrupt your enemy as they’re making a mistake. Let him keep going to court, burning all good will and spending his money

NTA the ex MIL could’ve saved everyone’s time by raising a decent human being instead of a deceitful snake.

Wouldve been easier but much less satisfying and impact if you had revealed it early. Maybe he wont pull another stunt.

No. Hilarious. This is what happens when people throw around terms like parental alienation all willy-nilly.

Are you kidding me? Why would you show any sort of mercy to partner who cheated on you in the worse way possible, made the divorce an even messier affair, create even more of a fuss even after the divorce when he was clearly in the wrong and the Ex-MIL still has the gall to ask you of that?
It’s honestly better to look at them as if they were an enemy than a ex-partner. NTA.
