when khrulu first came out, he hit an enemy individually, and after every hit would spin down, then spin up to heal you, then spin down, spin up to atack the next enemy, etc. took ages
The Beta Ghoul animation was absolute KILLER. That close up camera as he bursts from the grave and comes to his feet. That would be amazing for the new HQ model. I miss the old music though, the 2009 music that was remastered for the 10th anniversary. I want that OST back.
i know the one spell they changed that i hate, is orthrus... i use to look forward to the spell, i loved the scene with its moon... it reminded me of the joker, keith ... but then they buffed it out, and now i just hate the spell... its not the same.
I totally agree with you on this one man. Before I made this video, I actually thought the moon was still there but I actually did not realize it (cause I probably wasn't paying attention lol), but it sucks to be honest that they removed a small feature that was quite funny. However, the rest of the spell (such as the animations and sounds) are way better now than before.
they also made it aoe so it sucks harder animation wise at least, it was the camera shot that made the spell scary you close in on orthrus and you realize how big it is

If Kingsisle actually listen to their fanbase about the classic server idea, many players would come back trust me. Also, try recovering the account somehow if you can.
Nothing will be more iconic than the old imp imp and fire elf animations. Some of the clips were cut a bit to early, but great video nonetheless! I also couldn’t tell the difference in some of the changes such as the fairy and the two simultaneous fire elf clips.
Funny thing is that I realized I forgot Wraith right after I uploaded the video. I missed out on a few other spells which I will eventually get to. Also, I'm pretty sure that the unicorn healing effect always had the rainbow for the most part but there could have been a period where it did not.

Now they reworked fully the 1-2 rank spells, so you should do the video once again, just adding the new spells, or make a video like this, only showing the changes in the specific spells now, nobody has made it yet...
Fire Cat and Locust Swarm were so much better back then. The cat sound was more realistic than the one we have now, and for the swarm, I prefer the old sound.
It could be your settings as if you don't have them on high, there could be some textures missing or reduced from the game entirely. However, it could also be your PC as back on my Windows XP for a brief period of time, the water in the Commons appeared white (as if it was milk) with no water textures. It was pretty odd but that could be a possibility.
Frost beetle hasn't been changed. Many of the spells have different animations depending on how much damage they do. Frost beetle still uses both animations, it just depends on how much damage it does which animation you will see. Same with storm shark.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that used to be the case for both spells. Hopefully I can make a part 2 of this video sometime in the future to highlight more of these spell changes.

2010 was an extremely good time for the game. Mounts were added during October 2009, so everyone was freaking out about the new line of mobility.
