I wonder if they’re planning to withdraw the remaining ex-165/256 13 reg E200s on the 296 and replace them with the 165’s MMCs. I hope not as they’re lovely and it’s a shame how 36556-569 have departed in 2018/2019 to be honest. At least some of the 13 regs from the 256 are on the 246 now but they seem to like putting those on the 61, the route and which TB is suffering with decker shortages due to the SL3’s LTs being awful and unreliable. Don’t get why they won’t send some spare E400s in East over to TB for the 61/SL3

@@zfs.59 I think the majority of the 165’s batch of E200MMC’s are on the 310. I don’t think there are enough to fully allocate them on the 296. The 296 does often see deckers (2 of them were on the route the day I filmed this, this was actually the only E200 on the day running the route, everything else included an E400MMC, an E400 & an 18 reg MMC off the 193’s batch).
Didn’t NS send some of the 86’s batch to TB to cover for those shortages? I also think most of the remaining E400’s were used to deck the 165.

@@AB-ii5pinothing has moved to TB for the 61/SL3 situation, all the 86 E400s have gone to PD for the 422’s 3 year contract and some are yes being used on the 165 for its full DD allocation. There are still spare E400s around so don’t know why they’re not going TB especially since an SN63 from the 179 has moved out of BK and could’ve came to TB instead of PD. The 61 being slammed with SDs constantly is ridiculous to be honest and at least that ex-179 E400 should’ve moved in to TB as it would help in some way, TB should only need 4-5 E400s which would cover any unreliable LTs as it’s only 1-2 E200 SD that do the 61 every other day. The 310 is reportedly getting the ex-W14 YX12 E200s and 2 of them from the 314 so the 165’s MMCs are temporary on the route and will be reallocated shortly wherever it goes. The 165’s MMCs are scattered around, some have stayed put at RM for the 499 in a bid to oust out the 15 reg examples as 36608 is still at BK and is reportedly slated for withdrawal. Some of the ex-165 68 regs are also at NS for the 296 for some reason so that’s why I said it could replace the 13 reg E200s especially since the 310 will release more but I doubt the 296 will have another mid contract upgrade like it did with the 13 regs e200s from the 256.

@@zfs.59 there were definitely some that NS did send over to TB. Yes you are correct about them sending some to the 422 but some such as 19817 did move from NS to TB. The 86 had so many removed off it when it converted to electroliners that it could afford to send several of them out to various garages, with TB being one of them.

@@AB-ii5pithe 422 I heard should be getting 63 reg E400s from the 179/252/365 with the 179/252/365 getting 12 reg examples instead. Hence why 10181 moved to PD

@@zfs.59 296 is up for a tender so it can convert to a DD operation using E400 MMCs from route 425 when it gets electrics so some 13 regs and 12 regs (ex-W14) and 2 (ex-314) will allocate to 310 and 225 will use ex-165 68 regs E200 MMCs when it passes to SLN
