- Back in Portugal we first visited Lisbon for a few days. We stayed in the Alfama disctrict and my goal was to photograph some of the Viewpoints, e.g. the Miradouro Santa Luzia, and the historic tram.
In this video I take you behind the scenes, share tips on location scouting and on photographing cityscapes with traffic.

You did an excellent job in Lisbon 👌👌🏆
Wie immer großartige Bilder und Tipps. Vielen Dank und einen guten Jahresübergang!
Danke dir. Frohe Weihnachten
Nice work, Michael.
Great photos as always Michael! The last one was especially cool with the tram standing still just for your photo :) Merry Christmas to you and your family. Cheers, Chris
Yea what a lucky Shot. I stayed one more hour an no tram had a red light again 😅
I really enjoy your videos and your process. Get there early, set up, and be patient. I'm pretty good with the first two, need to work on the third. Keep shooting!
Hi, I am really enjoying all of your vlogs. You really are a wonderful photographer, you shoot the various styles of photography so well. These shots are terrific👍🏽
Thanks a lot
I was living next to red bridge a couple years ago. Nice city
Actually I really like the total night shot. The orange (warm) image appeals to me. I really enjoyed the transition photos. The scene with the beautiful light of the sunrise. I enjoyed the video
What I often do in the end is mix the different photos a bit for the final result, so having the camera in place for some time gives me that flexibility
Just came back from Lisbon, really enjoyed photographing this city. It's fun to see that I was standing at the same spot (5 meters in front) as you at 7:10 during blue hour!!!
Yea it's a photogenic area :-)
Very inspiring images from Lisbon with some gorgeous light too! What kind of remote control you are using on your R5?
A 10 year old remote I had for all my canons so far. Something from China
What view points did you go to?
Thanks a lot Michael for all the vlogs ! Wish you a merry christmas ! I've two questions : for the panoramas, did you just crop in one file ? For the focus stacking with the long lens, do you also use the automatic focus stack or is it manual ? Thanks a lot
The Panorama is several horizontal frames stitched.
For the tram shots I also used Automatic stacking. But it sometimes takes way too many photos then
How did you manage to freeze the tram in the frame while doing a long exposure?
It stopped at a Red Traffic light ;-)
Lisbon is a beautiful city. I'd love to visit someday. How is it to get around? Is public transit good? Is it walkable or do you really need to rent a car? Thanks.
Center is all walkable. Public transport If you want to leave center. Dont get a car for Lisbon, you will constantly search for place to park. A car is advisable If you want to explore the coast.
@@mibreit-photo thanks, Michael. I would definitely want to explore the coast. I hope Lisbon hotels have parking for their guests at least!
@@JohnDrummondPhoto you can also split. Three days Lisbon without Car, then get a car for few days at Coast. Its worth spending some time there
@@mibreit-photo thanks again! 👍🏿
what month was it in?
Beginning of December
