Our home was built in 1886. A witch lived in it before we did and yes, it's haunted.. But peaceful.. We cohabitate well. We have a 2nd empire victorian that we are restoring. Thank you for your educational videos and wonderful guidance.
I have the little book of chills and thrills. I love it. I’m more into vintage Halloween decor but I have a few Victorian items! The cat in the pumpkin is my favorite image !
I saw those Halloween postcards and almost bought them for you!!! At least it shows that I am getting to know your tastes!! I love anything historical so this was extra interesting. Those old costumes are something else lol.
Awww! You are so nice to think of me and yes you do know my taste. Those post cards have been in my library for years. Victorian costumes are so creepy!
Love this!!! If you have had any new spooky experiences I would love to hear them. I live in an old home but unfortunately have not had any experiences yet.
This was so interesting and creepy which I love, great video, I learned so many interesting things. The victorians were so colorful and good call on the spirit board, not something to mess with
I was so excited when I saw the title of this video! Perfect for me because I have the same taste, I love Victorian and vintage and of course, Halloween! After seeing you flip through your book I can see mine is the same, lol, I figured it was, just a different cover. I love the postcard book too, it looks so interesting! I really enjoyed the facts about Victorian Halloween, and wow what creepy costumes! I wonder if this is where Bloody Mary came from, lol, that game scared me so bad when I was a small child. I love the Victorian, vintage decorations you have. This is why I really love shopping at Michael's during Halloween, they always have vintage reproduction decorations, and I've seen some at Walmart too the last few years that I've bought. Witches and black cats are my favorite, but I love them all. I'm with you, no red and white roses together! That is just too creepy! I also don't have ouija boards or devils in my home, those feel too satanic to me and take away the fun of Halloween. By the way, I see you have the Twilight book series on your book shelf, I have them too and haven't started reading them, but I really like the movies. I really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing!!
The Twilight Books are SO good. I think that you would enjoy them. I will need to check out Michaels. This year I did not see too many Vintage Halloween Items at Target or Walmart. Not that I need any more but I love Halloween decor. LOL
@@journeys_with_jen me too!!! One thing about Michael's is you have to get their stuff fast! I went one week and they were packed, 2 weeks later they were almost cleaned out, already sold out of all the mini items and Lenox village, I had wanted some things for the Victorian Witch dollhouse I'm building. And this was at the beginning of October!!! Rule of thumb, shop at Michael's in August for your Halloween decor, because by October it's almost all gone!
So interesting and entertaining!! I love this type of content from you! I returned from a trip to Cape May last week and am reading a book I bought there about Victorians so this is so timely for me. I love Halloween too and did not know any of this. Agatha Christie has a book called Halloween Party with Poirot in it and a lot of these things reminded me of that book. So interesting!!!
TheNatureChick1 I have that Agatha Christie book! I started reading it a couple of years ago but never finished. You know how much I love Cape May. Hope that you had an incredible trip. It is so beautiful there!
Jens Happy Home Thank you! We had the best time. It was the first place We went all year and the first time we got to eat out. Just so beautiful and relaxing there always! I felt like that Agatha Christie book wasn’t a real page turner lol, but I did like it for the Halloween elements at least.
Thanks Jen, this was super interesting...and spooky lol 💞🥰 Awesome video! ❤️ Would love to share our latest, so stop by if you get a chance one day 😊🧡💚❤️

Great information about the Victorians, did not know they brought what we know now as Halloween to us. Thank you.
So glad that you enjoyed this :)

Love this! I would be scared to play some of those games! Especially the Apple and the mirror one 😂
I know me too. Those types of games really creep me out.
LOVED THIS!! I learned so many things and I feel like your love for Halloween just works so perfectly with your Victorian home!
