Definitely learned as I have my Dad's stuff in boxes and coffee cans and my great-grandfaher's/grandfather's in a '50's area toolbox. Thank you for sharing your ideas & passion.
i can relate to this a lot, I have a 6 bay shop set up for automotive, fabrication, and machining, along with a wall mounted car wash system since its all for personal use. it has been years of constantly trying new ideas and layouts for organization and efficiency. im always looking for where an improvement can be made, and making maximum use of vertical space that is often wasted since ive outgrown my space. Then buying new equipment makes me redo it all over again. i just worked in a bridgeport and clausing 15x50 lathe and figured out how to use the wall space for thousand extra things necessary to use them. I found the wall control panels to be nice for this but not quite heavy duty enough as i would like. i will most likely cut my own out on my plasma table. they allow me to adapt and change as needed.
I also bought a bambu labs x1 carbon with ams so i would have automatic spool changing and printed out about 400 bins to the exact dimensions i wanted and they look just like the lista ones but to be perfect for me
I absolutely love your dedication to order and cleanliness. It takes serious discipline to achieve this level of organization. I will strive to replicate this once I start outfitting my garage here shortly.

So this isnt the content from OG I particularly enjoy, but whenever I poke through one of these videos all I can think about is someone needs to do this for bass fishing. Tackle organization done to this level... I need that in my life.

Love these old school format videos from time to time and my favorite topic: organization. I am not ready for cabinets yet and so I have been chasing a solution for polishers, pads, towels, tools, and polishes and haven't found anything yet. I was hoping FLEX would get their act together because they could capitalize the market with their packout system. I checked out the Milwaukee packouts also and ran some measurements and nothing seemed to work efficiently either.
Good morning coffee content. I lack the organization in my garage, shed and basement workshop. So many great ideas here. A little out of my budget, however this gives me great ideas to build on slowly. Thank you Matt👍

The OG house giveaway is coming soon😅I am so excited 🎉😂, I think a few full house renovation giveaways first of course (I am just speculating, and being selfishly optimistic). Matt has done a few garage projects maybe a half a dozen that weren’t his own. So maybe we get a few opportunities for such a thing. Congrats on 500k👍. I have recently joined the ranks of “top commentator” 😌🤷♂️. I look forward to next episode of OG-LZ house renovation.

Hey Matt, regarding the water, check out the Brio 730. I don’t have one personally but have a buddy that swears by it. Supposedly, the internals are made of “better materials” and it has some kind of UV lighting to keep the machine clean inside. Not sure if it’s quite up to OG spec but worth checking out. I would be annoyed too if my fancy water was being spoiled by the machine.
Don't know why all these GQ guys sitting here making fun of your crocs 😂. They are literally the best lounging/ car washing shoes ever. Non slip, repel water, and super comfortable. Not like we trying to wear them out to dinner lol

you should think of buying a laser cutting machine, and that way you can "custom" cut each in-lay incorporating the "better" tools. Like Sonic does, but using your recommendations

Matt, have you explored any solutions for weapons display/storage or for a safe room? That is my current project and i am loosing the battle trying to find some sturdy & quality furnishings. So much china junk to shuffle through.

Still confused at the hate on the NewAge PRO. The response seems to be "trust me", but for the life of me, after seeing it hands on, I can t figure out why it is not an entry level option - particularly when Sabre prices/availability have turned where it has. I am not a NewAge homer -by any means, but really want to understand what occupiers that gap there for many. Maybe it is ProSlat?
If I haven’t proven myself yet, I’m not sure what to tell you. It’s hard to explain unless you put hands on other stuff. It the same argument I have for brands like Turtle wax. Why support brands that don’t get it when there are others that do and make better stuff.
@@ObsessedGarage I am not sure what Turtle wax has to do with cabinets. I have hands on with lots of cabinets - Rousseau as well as NewAge (and others). They are all on a spectrum. For someone working their way up, there seems to be a massive pit. Where is the progression? If not Sabre then what is he next tier (unless it is...nothing?)

Couldn't you 3D print those trays? Then you can make them any size you want. If your design team got into 3D printing the sky is the limit.
We certainly could. We have a few printers that could do it. I just don't like homemade look and feel of 3D printed stuff.

What did you mean at 13:00 when you said you hope to never use any of this crap? None of your tools look used. Are you just an OCD collector or hoarder? I am new to the channel so I don't understand why you have all these new tools and talk of upgrading them but never use them for anything. I am really confused with this channel to be honest.
