    Really enjoying these adventures to see how man woman and vehicle copes in extreme temperatures, I am an old timer and recently retired and I have converted my work van a vw caddy into a micro camper, a few weeks ago when the UK temperature in the Midlands dipped down to - 5 degrees I could not open my side doors for two days so I won't be going to the arctic circle in it, 😂how about for your next adventure you go to the hottest place on earth 🌎🤔😎

    One of my cousins, an ex-HGV mechanic, suggested a disposable barbecue as a way to get extra heat into the engine. It would need insulating from the ground or it might go out. I’ll have to try some experiments when it’s not raining. I wouldn’t want to push one under a van and have it set fire to the vehicle.

      Similar things that we done all over the world which has cold environment although I don’t think it happens as much for modern cars as any of them run in oil ( which is more suited for the cold ) and have a lot more plastic and cabling under the engine

    Excellent video again. In the beginning and eg. when you went to the amethyst mine there was the conditions that I call "postcard weather". If you buy a generic "Greetings from Lapland" postcard, the photo is most likely taken on when there's a lot of snow on the trees etc :)
    In my experience you need that CEE-adapter quite often in the campsites in Finland and Sweden, but not very often in Norway. In the Baltic countries it's almost always needed.

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  7 месяцев назад +1

      I definitely agree with you there it was the classic postcard view!
      As for the adaptor you’re right, that’s why I was a bit confused on what I’ve used in previous years. Luckily I was able to make a temporary conversion.

    Question: What do you do as a precaution against legionella in your water tank?

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  7 месяцев назад

      Interesting, you think it’s BMW. Although it’s also interesting to see what the plates mean, as I can’t read to me foreign number plates, unlike the UK ones.
      Precautions against legionnaire is just your normal good hot water tank practice of regularly, keeping it 60° or higher.

    • @demil3618
      @demil3618 7 месяцев назад

      I was just guessing because they have used GG plates before.
      All German plates refer to a town/region where the vehicle is registered (not equal to where the owner lives, could be businesses...). Plates don't stay with the vehicle when you move out of the area.

This causes the C to predigest or break down and absorb quickly and more so. I buy Amazon 5 pound bag... it is sooo good for many things. Keep up the good team work, it makes life nicer ...
