the fact that this song samples get up makes me want to cry for some reason. it’s just beautiful
I wonder how many people realize this song is right in their head, but fight it? I wonder if people would cut themselves some slack, and learn to be happier if they did? But most of all, I wonder if people would learn to care about others more, and not so much making themselves the star of their own show?

Ok. I’m interpreting this song as: keep it real- don’t get snotty- not everything is all about me- don’t forget to give back-try not to spiral downward obsessively thinking about just my torments lol- be there for others suffering-make ways to enjoy life now- this is our 1shot at life.

I feel like people who don't like this are completely missing the message. In the age we live in of influencers, youtubers, twitch streamers, tik tokers, and everything else, everyone's trying to get recognized and become internet famous and leave their mark on the world. While that can be a blessing, it can also lead to people putting a ton of pressure on themselves. And that can very much result in you spending all your time working towards something that, let's face it, is very unlikely to happen. So, stop waiting on your 15 minutes of fame. Slow down. Take a breath. You're not special, and that's ok you don't have to be

I saw Shinedown open for 3 Doors Down years back. Thought good band but they will never make it big as 3DD. oops. Many more years back i saw this band called Bon Jovi open for RATT. Thought same thing, this band is alright but will never be as big as RATT and won't last long. OOPS..
