Excellent News!! This is small exposition to your post. Samuel Jackson V (5th I believe) and Payton Thorne were never actually on the field together in HS at Naperville Central in IL to my recollection (you never said they were). Jackson followed Thorne as the quarterback at NC in a shortened COVID year to a 6-0 season and a #4 State ranking. Thorne's primary target, and probably his best friend on the team in HS was Jayden Reed (Green Bay Packers). They were room mates on the road playing at Michigan State. Go Tigers!!!

Auburn will keep 2-4 high safeties to cover but in the slot and the box the bigger guys play. They’ll be rotating them but it will be two completely separate groups. 4 in the back with the more athletic big uns lower down. Watch
Freeze knows how the game has changed. You need excellent wide receivers and a tight end who's massive. Then on defense you need corners and safeties.
In other words on offense get players who can get down the field past the defense. And on defense get players who will not let someone get behind them. Last year's Alabama game. Poor defense in the end zone.

There's all this talk about our newcomers, and rightfully so. I expect AU to be MUCH improved this year.... but I absolutely LOVE everything about Eugene Asante. Other teams should be very afraid of that DUDE. IMO, others to watch (who I think are being overlooked a little bit) would be Sam V, Sean Jackson, D. Alston, Cobb and... Hell, the ENTIRE RB room, but I think, for real, Jar Hunter could have a Heisman type year if we're able to have even a half-ass passing attack... and I think we will. Freeze is ABSOLUTELY building something special at Auburn and I can't wait to watch it unfold. WDE!!!!

Perry is a big dude. Physically small DBs can’t match him
A lot of these teams in the SEC are going to have to use bracket coverage for him and that’s going to get beat by Coleman, Lambert-Smith, Fairweather, Simmons, Cain, Lewis, and Brown. This receiving core is dangerous.
